Our stay at mainstay was great! The rooms are very spacious which was perfect as there was 4 of us! Full size fridge, microwave etc so that was fantastic! Would definitely stay again! One note, you have to leave hotel to use the pool/hot tub. We would have but it was an insane blizzard so we couldn’t/didn’t but just a heads up.

Hotel.com advertised pool and hot tub, which the hotel did not have. Hotel and room was outdated, with stains on rugs and mold in the bathroom tiles and in tub. Halls smelled. When we check in, had to wait 5 mins for someone to come to front desk. We got to breakfast the next morning at 8am and majority of it was empty. Had to ask food and coffee cups would be refilled. Person at the desk was not very happy to help. Disappointed for the value we paid to stay in the hotel. Pictures on hotel make this hotel much more updated.

We checked in at 8:00pm and when we got to our room they were still cleaning it and we had to wait in the hall for 20 minutes listening to two cleaners complaining about having to clean the rooms and they should just mark the last few rooms clean. Numerous profanity was also being used. When we did get into our room the microwave, refrigerator, and bathroom toilet were not cleaned and our rooms was not very clean but we had disinfectant wipes and wiped down everything ourselves. Then our second night, around 11:30 pm someone was vacuuming in the room above us for about 5 minutes. It was really frustrating. Luckily we didn’t need to spend a ton of time in our room but it could have been a better experience.

The hotel was dirty and the carpet severely stained in the hallways. The room had worn out chairs and the bathroom wasn't clean. The maid didn't come to clean the room and i had to call twice to get towels bright to the room.

The hotel hallway carpets were filthy. That didn’t leave a very good impression on the stay. The rooms were ok as far as cleanliness was concerned but a poor first impression is a lasting one. The carpet in the room was dark so not sure how clean they were.

The duvet was dirty and torn in multiple places. Drapes were falling off and you could see they had attempted to tape them to the wall unsuccessful. When we came forward with concerns about the duvet the front desk clerk was quick to correct the situation and said how embarrassing this was. I give her full credit for her response.

Our room had old garbage in two of the three receptacles in the room. The kitchenette had old food stuck in the microwave as well as on the stovetop. The carpet had not been vacuumed. The staff simply handed me the room keys and said, “You can go.” BUT, the room was relatively inexpensive, so I guess we got what we paid for.

The room itself was stinky, beds aren't queen when you ask for a queen. The bed linen weren't very nice smelling. Smelled like dirty hair. The carpeting in room smelled like toe jams. Not good experience.

Found a used bar of soap in the shower there was a bad smell in the room when we walked inside, found the garburator was giving off the smell. There was noodles left in the sink as well. Smelled like someone was smoking in one of the rooms. Wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

Good budget hotel. Only queen beds available. Little tired looking, but clean, safe and convenient. Right across the street from the mall and close to lots of restaurants. Very limited breakfast and unfortunately the water tastes very chlorinated.

This hotel does not match its rating on Expedia. When we arrived it was far from good. Firstly, was given a room that was not cleaned between guests. The 2nd room was in very rough shape. Ceiling light in the shower was falling out of the ceiling. The tub faucet was loose in the wall. Hot water was minimal. Fan unit made horrible grinding noises. The area is VERY loud with vehicles and upstairs footsteps are disruptive. Will never stay there again.

Woman checking us in was miserable and unfriendly. Same woman checked us out, same story…miserable. Tv wasn’t working properly, she said she’d send someone to take a look. No one showed up. Safe in the room didn’t function properly. No maid service for duration of stay. Pillows were lumpy. On the upside, the breakfast was good. Hotel was quiet. It’s doubtful I’d book again next time.

The beds were super comfy. Fresh cookie in the afternoon. Fresh fruit offered throughout the day. Breakfast was sad. First day they offered two things, a burnt omelet and sausage. No toast. Truck didn't come? Second day had toast but the food looked yucky. Wouldn't stay again.

I didn't like that there was no house keeping; towels were thin and badly worn. Breakfast was minimal. Space around the bed was tight so it was difficult to access the bed; when requested a better room, we were told the rooms were all the same unless we upgrade for more $.

Checked in at around 10:25pm and was greeted by friendly staff. Room was nice and cold, which felt wonderful after being at the hot state fair all day. Everything was clean. Bed was very comfortable, quiet on the floor we were staying on. Breakfast was okay, simple—about normal of what you find nowadays. Would definitely book there again.

Booked, got to the hotel to book in and was met by a miserable customer service rep who claimed Expedia can’t tell the difference between clean rooms and dirty rooms. Then was snarky when she said they had no rooms available. I said I had booked and it was non-refundable. I promptly left and contacted Expedia for a refund. Terrible service!!

Checked in at around 10:25pm and was greeted by friendly staff. Room was nice and cold, which felt wonderful after being at the hot state fair all day. Everything was clean. Bed was very comfortable, quiet on the floor we were staying on. Breakfast was okay, simple—about normal of what you find nowadays. Would definitely book there again.

Good budget hotel. Only queen beds available. Little tired looking, but clean, safe and convenient. Right across the street from the mall and close to lots of restaurants. Very limited breakfast and unfortunately the water tastes very chlorinated.

Hotel.com advertised pool and hot tub, which the hotel did not have. Hotel and room was outdated, with stains on rugs and mold in the bathroom tiles and in tub. Halls smelled. When we check in, had to wait 5 mins for someone to come to front desk. We got to breakfast the next morning at 8am and majority of it was empty. Had to ask food and coffee cups would be refilled. Person at the desk was not very happy to help. Disappointed for the value we paid to stay in the hotel. Pictures on hotel make this hotel much more updated.

The location is great. Service was great. Bed was comfortable. Carpets need to be replaced. Starting to look dated. Needs to be refreshed. Health options at the buffet would be nice. For example fruit or yogurt would be nice.

Woman checking us in was miserable and unfriendly. Same woman checked us out, same story…miserable. Tv wasn’t working properly, she said she’d send someone to take a look. No one showed up. Safe in the room didn’t function properly. No maid service for duration of stay. Pillows were lumpy. On the upside, the breakfast was good. Hotel was quiet. It’s doubtful I’d book again next time.

The beds were super comfy. Fresh cookie in the afternoon. Fresh fruit offered throughout the day. Breakfast was sad. First day they offered two things, a burnt omelet and sausage. No toast. Truck didn't come? Second day had toast but the food looked yucky. Wouldn't stay again.

I didn't like that there was no house keeping; towels were thin and badly worn. Breakfast was minimal. Space around the bed was tight so it was difficult to access the bed; when requested a better room, we were told the rooms were all the same unless we upgrade for more $.

Worst stay ever. Had to switch rooms 3 times. Hotel under construction. Rooms are worn down and old. The hotel has an old musty smell. Looked to move to another hotel in the area but Minot was on Shelter in place order and no other hotels were available. Staff and quest definitely on the sketchy side of things. Outside looks great beware of the inside! Window was literally coming out of the wall! Front desk staff asked us to wait until the next shift to see if they could fix it. Forced to stay due to the shelter in place order! Do not recommend!!!!STAY AWAY!!!
