Our first visit to The Aerie in New Bern, NC was memorable and enjoyable. From our arrival until our departure, we appreciated the central location of the B&B and the fact that we did not need to use our car at all. The Aerie is located in a beautiful home on a quiet street. Everything about it was top class and comfortable. Our room was well appointed and the king bed was just right! I especially enjoyed the jetted tub after our 5 hour drive to New Bern. The hostess gave us dining options that were all within a few blocks. Breakfast the next day was delicious and fueled us for our morning adventures. Being just a short walk from Tryon Palace was a plus and we were able to leave our car in The Aerie lot while we explored the history of the city. All in all, an excellent experience! We would definitely stay at The Aerie again!

Beautiful property with an incredible room. It is called “The Hidden Room” because it is outside the second floor with its own private entrance. It is romantic, luxurious and comfortable. There is a staircase directly to parking or you can access through the Inn. Bed is amazing and all amenities are provided. Beth did a great job showing us the building, which has been wonderfully restored. Several fine dining options are within walking distance. This is a true find and we will include in our future sojourns south to visit our son in St Augustine.

We loved that the location was within walking distance to great area restaurants and shopping options. They did have bikes available as well & for those that have a Tesla, they have a Tesla charger in their parking lot! The outside area was beautiful & relaxing too with a nice firepit that we also enjoyed one afternoon. Breakfast was delicious both days & the staff was very friendly, courteous & professional! Great place! Would definitely stay here again!

The location of property was perfect! Walking distance to all of downtown New Bern & Riverfront. Great breakfast. Very clean, easy access to parking, outdoor gazebo was a plus. Would definitely recommend and plan to visit again!!!

The owners were very nice they make you feel like you were at home! The room was amazing very clean everything you needed. The owners went out of their way to make us feel at home. It was in perfect walking distance to the river as well as numerous places to eat and shop. The outside. Fire pit was amazing. We will definitely be back.

I like the hospitality of the owners who met us at the front door and instantly gave us a tour of the whole house. Show us our room and gave a detail brief about the local area. Breakfast and coffee throughout the day was spot on. Great time to be had by all.

Clean, quiet, comfortable and a great location. It is next door to Tryon Palace and the tour bus starting point. Breakfast was tasty and included gluten free options. Great restaurants a short walk away. Plenty of parking behind building and the Tesla EV charger was a pleasant surprise. We highly recommend Aerie House.

The Aerie Bed and Breakfast kept the historic look and feel of this house. It is an older house so sound can travel. The rooms are small but cozy. The owners are incredible and the breakfast is amazing (as well as the coffee). The downside is the rooms are hot, I would suggest bringing a fan if you can; it will help with the noise and the heat. I will be coming back.

Lovely Bed & Breakfast. We had perhaps the smallest room but just perfect for the two of us on our quick trip to New Bern. I think I could have stayed in the comfortable bed a week and read. We will definitely be back!

Came to New Bern for customer meetings and chose to stay at the Aerie instead of a hotel. Glad I did. It was my first experience at a B&B and I really enjoyed it. Inn keepers and staff were very nice and attentive and it was great meeting other travelers as well. Room was comfortable and quiet at night. Would recommend for sure.

The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Overall, my stay was pleasant, but there was an issue with the air conditioning unit that affected my experience. The AC made noticeable clicking and humming noises throughout the night, which disrupted my sleep. I contacted the gentleman managing the property, and he promptly responded, explaining that there wasn’t much he could do at the moment. I understand that this is an older building, but I was hoping for a quieter environment to ensure a restful night’s sleep. I’d appreciate any steps that could be taken to address this issue for future guests. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Traveling for a work function and booked a room here. First time visiting New Bern and the Aerie was more than I ever expected. My mom and I arrived and immediately welcomed by Beth. Let me tell you, she is amazing and made us feel like part of her family. We were treated so well during our short stay and cannot wait to come back. From the well appointed room to the incredible breakfast, nothing disappointed! The birds were so fun and i enjoyed talking to them while making a cup of coffee, all complimentary during our stay. We felt very safe and comfortable and could have slept with the door open! Beth takes so much pride in the Aerie and we were so impressed! Cannot wait to go back for a more extended stay! Thanks Beth for your hospitality!

So hospitable! The Aerie is ideally located which was why we chose it. The bonuses were the lovely room, drinks and snacks, and both outdoor and indoor lounging areas. They happily accommodated some special dietary requests and made us feel at home! Highly recommend!!

John and Beth were the perfect hosts. Was able to switch room to a downstairs room that was very accommodating. Additionally, the breakfast omelet with fresh fruit and biscuit was delicious. Would highly recommend this B&B if traveling to New Bern.

We have stayed at this Inn several times over the years and it's always a great experience. The house is gorgeous and well maintained. The Inn Keepers are friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was good. There are lots of great restaurants and shops within walking distance. Perfect little getaway!

Great accommodations. Bed is very comfortable, rooms are very quiet, breakfast was great. John is very friendly and was a terrific host. The check-in process was very personalized without being too much. The property is in walking distance of all the sights. I’d definitely stay there again if we are in the area.
Great accommodations. Bed is very comfortable, rooms are very quiet, breakfast was great. John is very friendly and was a terrific host. The check-in process was very personalized without being too much. The property is in walking distance of all the sights. I’d definitely stay there again if we are in the area.

The history and decor made the stay extra special. The owners were friendly and extremely accomodating. Quick to respond to messages. We didn’t need anything because everything was already thought of and provided. Will definitely be back.

I love this bed and breakfast best I’ve ever been to so far. Everything looks just like the picture. It’s so beautiful and very convenient to the local area. Whenever I come back to New Bern I will be staying here again. The hospitality was amazing. Thank you for a great and enjoyable visit.

This is the second time I have stayed at this B&B. It was wonderful! A great location that is steps away from restaurants, shops, and historic neighborhoods. The breakfast was delicious. I would stay again!

The location of property was perfect! Walking distance to all of downtown New Bern & Riverfront. Great breakfast. Very clean, easy access to parking, outdoor gazebo was a plus. Would definitely recommend and plan to visit again!!!

Great location and loved the town of New Bern. Walkable to the whole town. Great breakfasts, great staff. They are making some repairs but it did not impact our stay. Be sure to say high to Kevin and Stephen for us. You will understand once you stay there.

Traveling for a work function and booked a room here. First time visiting New Bern and the Aerie was more than I ever expected. My mom and I arrived and immediately welcomed by Beth. Let me tell you, she is amazing and made us feel like part of her family. We were treated so well during our short stay and cannot wait to come back. From the well appointed room to the incredible breakfast, nothing disappointed! The birds were so fun and i enjoyed talking to them while making a cup of coffee, all complimentary during our stay. We felt very safe and comfortable and could have slept with the door open! Beth takes so much pride in the Aerie and we were so impressed! Cannot wait to go back for a more extended stay! Thanks Beth for your hospitality!

Excellent, high-quality experience in this beautiful, well-maintained historic property. Updated bathroom and excellent furnishings made for a comfortable stay. Host is courteous, professional and attentive to guests. Breakfast was very good and staff provided excellent service.

This is our go-to place in New Bern and it NEVER disappoints. From the softest sheets on the planet (we actually bought two sets) to the best breakfast in town. The owner accommodated my “special request” repeat of a breakfast we had enjoyed on an earlier visit. Awesome stay!

Clean, quiet, comfortable and a great location. It is next door to Tryon Palace and the tour bus starting point. Breakfast was tasty and included gluten free options. Great restaurants a short walk away. Plenty of parking behind building and the Tesla EV charger was a pleasant surprise. We highly recommend Aerie House.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Aerie B&B! John, our wonderful host, and his staff were friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Each morning, we were treated to a delicious breakfast. The B&B was clean, comfortable, and full of charm. Its location was perfect, as we could easily walk to everything downtown. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay during our visit to New Bern. We would definitely choose to stay here again!

Beth was amazing with her service and helpfulness. She was so patient when we locked ourselves out and needed an umbrella. Breakfast was amazing! We stayed in the guest house which seemed to struggle with AC on the first floor, but the second floor was pretty cool. We saw a cockroach (dying on his back) on the first floor as well, and the jacuzzi tub (jets) didn't work which was a bummer. But it's a great location and super warm innkeeper. I'd recommend!
