The front desk clerk was very friendly and made us feel welcome, including our dog, who was provided a bin with sheets, towels, bowls and a couple of dog biscuits. The description said there was a refrigerator and microwave, but the room also had dishes, a sink and a Keurig. The motel is on the quiet end of the beach. There's no pool, but we weren't looking for one.

Staff was excellent. Very friendly and helpful. Rooms (had 2 bedroom suite) were very clean and even more spacious than expected (though a bit sad that second bedroom's window was to the walkway/hallway where other guests walk right by). View from one bedroom and from living room was excellent. Loved that there were complimentary bikes to use.

First time staying at property. Things I liked: 1) Beach access right there and access to promenade 2) Wash station outside. There were no towels outside though for dogs. 3) Dogs $30 a night is not too bad. 4) Not a commercial decorated room like the big hotel chains. 90's vintage and mostly up-to-date. One old light fixture is from that time frame and is now back in style (if you wait long enough it will happen). 5) Bedside lamps have a touch button for 3-light levels which is way cool. 6) Good view of the ocean! 7) Love the "gas" fireplace! 8) Big TV! 9) Jetted tub! Things that are not ideal: 1) Parking is off-street that can be tight due to posts and/or small spaces in sometimes tight areas. There should usually be enough spaces for you though. However, if you have a large vehicle or truck or something, you have to park on the street. 2) Tea provided in room but was only given two tea bags. Can ask for more. 3) Coffee is a real Keurig. Can't take tall travel mugs. Have to run twice through machines and use additional mugs - one for the coffee and one for the water. 4) Office closes at 8pm. 5) Not as many restaurants as the main area of town like Broadway. Can be more of a problem if Tuesday/Wednesday as many are closed mid-week. 6) Artwork is placed weird in room - small picture up high on a big wall behind love seat. 7) First floor - no barrier between promenade and sliding glass door. 8) Had someone run water (shower?) 1-2am in the morning (there are rules!)

Lovely staff and room was clean with modern wood floors and comfortable beds. Some nice extras were added for the dog too. Great beach access as well. I don’t recall if there was an elevator so heads up if you have accessibility issues to plan for a ground level room. Also staff need a heads up if you have a somewhat late arrival. Lots of dogs everywhere! Would stay here again.

The website showed a pool at the property, and upon arrival we found there was no pool. Pretty disappointing. I did like the access to the beach! But the view from our room wasn’t the best. Room was very clean. Did appreciate that!!!

Stayed here with my husband and son in a partial view balcony with 2 queens. Let’s just say it was a place inside to sleep and shower. The floors and walls are paper thin and we could even hear people’s conversations. Be aware there is no A/C. You are provided with a box fan and the balcony open all the time is a must. When we arrived it was probably 90 degrees in our room because they had the fireplace on! Housekeeping never changed the sheets, never swept or vacuumed the floor which is disgusting since they are laminate. We even took our shoes off right when we came in and there was a ton of sand. They only emptied one garbage can so we had to smell my sons pull up for 3 days even though we put it out in the way for them to empty. They had provided some dishes and utensils which was nice and we didn’t know about however we didn’t know if we were responsible for cleaning them since they never took them our whole stay, they just lived in the sink. The beds and pillows were terrible, probably some of the worst I’ve ever slept on. The fridge is a nice size for a mini fridge, comes with a microwave and a toaster also. The staff was always friendly. I don’t think the view and the price was worth it. I wish we would have stayed somewhere else.

Pros: Great view of the beach and Tillamook Head. Loved the size of the room. We made good use of the kitchen and the fireplace. Cons: Quite noisy. We were on the ground floor. We could hear every footstep from the room above. Trash (from the hotel) was collected twice during our four day stay. So the trash collectors dragging the trash bins down the sidewalk outside our door made for a rude awakening very early in the morning. Carpet was quite dirty.

Nice location, place needs some updating and maintenance work. Cleaning needs improvement including sand in door tracks, very hard to slide doors. Toilet wouldn’t flush unless handle held down for duration. Very loud neighbors/thin walls. Exterior maintenance, paint, etc. needs a refresh.

The property was nice and well kept. Unfortunately there was a cockroach in our room the size of an average adults pinky nail. The property says they are not native to their area and must have dropped out of a previous guests bag. No refunds offered. Now I'm just hoping we didnt bring them home with us and am washing and deep cleaning everything. Staff was nice. Location and view is great. Rooms are decent for the area.

The hotel is older and run down, which I can live with. It was loud also, with older equipment and just noisy with families. My oceanview was a view of the parking lot. I was willing to overlook all this. After a lovely long day of hiking and site seeing, I was in my jammies ready for bed. At 10pm the old bathtub started overflowing with smelly water. Then at 11:30pm it started gushing even more with dark smelly water and debris and was filling up really fast and I felt like it was soon to overflow. I no longer felt safe to stay in this room. I called the local emergency line they provided for the hotel to try and get another room but they didn't have anything available, and instead planned on sending someone over to "fix it," at near midnight. NOPE. The drain wasn't draining, so this was clearly a major plumbing issue. The gal who called me back asked if I tried the plunger. So I drove the 3 hours home at midnight and got home at 3am and never ended up sleeping in this dirty room. I called the next morning because I still haven't received a call from the manager. The manager called back and was super defensive and accusatory with no intention of refunding my money. NOPE. Because this was handled so poorly, this was hands down the worst hotel experience I've ever had. Unfortunate things happen that are out of our control. But how poorly the manager handled this was shocking!

Paid extra for a balcony with an ocean view, got a ground floor with a view of the trail and blackberry bushes- couldn’t keep the curtains open at all since there was absolutely no privacy. The floor in the middle of the room was buckling up from obvious previous water damage. No A/C - hot and muggy. Hair dryer worked but didn’t actually blow air so not very effective. Mini fridge wasn’t balanced. Bed was comfortable, room was nicely decorated and spacious, linens were comfortable and staff was friendly and helpful. Local cafe one block down (Osprey Cafe) was amazing. Main part of town (food/entertainment) is about 1 mile down the boardwalk, which worked well for us - just be prepared to do a lot of walking

Property is definitely older. We got the room with the partial view and you can definitely see the ocean, however you are also right on the street. Because the room doesn’t have air conditioning, it gets very warm and you have to leave the sliding glass door open, so we were woken up by the garbage truck, car alarms going off, etc. The bathroom smelled like mildew BAD when running the shower, but there wasn’t any visible. Room was clean overall. It is super close to the beach but not walking distance to Main Street or any of the other shops, so beware.

So the trash collectors dragging the trash bins down the sidewalk outside our door made for a rude awakening very early in the morning. Carpet was quite dirty.

Great location and friendly staff. We stayed 3 nights in July (Mon-Thurs) and drove several hours from Idaho to stay here. Our room was one the 2nd floor at the end. The actual property and staff does it's best for a clean, friendly stay. The kitchenette was a nice plus. Unfortunately the low end customers and paper thin walls were undesirable. Be prepared for people smoking outside, talking and their dogs barking and all the street noise with cars driving and doors slamming.You can hear the people talking in the next room and people walking above you sound like they are stomping around. The beds were saggy too. We had the partial ocean view, which was ok. However seeing another room with an actual ocean view made me feel even more disappointed in our room. If I could do it again, I would have found a hotel with thicker walls.

We chose Inn at the Shore because of the remodeled rooms with a view of the ocean and access to the beach and walkway. The room was very comfortable and clean. I could nitpick the details of the renovation, but it was a nice place to be so I won't. We had a partial view of the ocean from the balcony. The rooms with a full ocean view did have a very nice view but no balcony. Parking is tight especially if you have a big SUV or pickup. It was no problem in our wagon. The Osprey Cafe is next door and the food and service is good. The room includes coffee and tea. If the weather keeps you inside, there is a flat screen TV and DVD player and the office has a video library. WiFi but no streaming video. I would recommend you stay here.

Great view of the ocean. Loved the deck. The front desk consistently texted or called me all day long to see when we would arrive. I had my phone on silent all day due to being on vacation so I was annoyed to have so many messages from the hotel. I obeyed their check in timeframe so I don’t understand why they needed a time frame. We were on vacation and didn’t want to be tied to a schedule.

The trip to get here was not easy. However, this hotel was amazing to work with! On our way here we got caught in a horrible storm. 26w was closed due to 2 accidents and rerouted on 202/30. This would’ve added 2 1/2 hrs to the trip. 35 miles from Astoria we had to turn around due to a down power line and head back to Ore-6 going to Tillamook to 101. Going into Seaside the roads were flooded but we made it! The whole time I remained in contact with the hotel! Amedeus was wonderful and even waited for us to check in! Room was great! Well insulated and beautiful view! We will be back!

The Staff at Inn at the Shores in Seaside, Oregon, are the most gracious polite, helpful group of people that I’ve ever encountered at a hotel, motel or lodge in our travels. They were wonderful. If you needed anything, they were right there. The best thing about it. It’s a reasonable stay and it’s right on the beach.

The hotel is older and run down, which I can live with. It was loud also, with older equipment and just noisy with families. My oceanview was a view of the parking lot. I was willing to overlook all this. After a lovely long day of hiking and site seeing, I was in my jammies ready for bed. At 10pm the old bathtub started overflowing with smelly water. Then at 11:30pm it started gushing even more with dark smelly water and debris and was filling up really fast and I felt like it was soon to overflow. I no longer felt safe to stay in this room. I called the local emergency line they provided for the hotel to try and get another room but they didn't have anything available, and instead planned on sending someone over to "fix it," at near midnight. NOPE. The drain wasn't draining, so this was clearly a major plumbing issue. The gal who called me back asked if I tried the plunger. So I drove the 3 hours home at midnight and got home at 3am and never ended up sleeping in this dirty room. I called the next morning because I still haven't received a call from the manager. The manager called back and was super defensive and accusatory with no intention of refunding my money. NOPE. Because this was handled so poorly, this was hands down the worst hotel experience I've ever had. Unfortunate things happen that are out of our control. But how poorly the manager handled this was shocking!

The front desk staff was VERY frieny when we checked in. We booked a partial ocean view room. Turns out the partial view is not from your room, but if you lean over the very janky/ wobbly glass railing on the deck. I wouldn’t let my child out on that deck. Needless to say, therefore there was no actual ocean view. We returned to our room around 1:30 the next day after being out and about since 9am to find that housekeeping had left our door WIDE open. Keep in mind this is a motel. So our room and all of our belongings and our passports were wide out in the open for anyone’s taking (because you don’t have to go through a lobby or anything to get into the room for who knows how long. There was no housekeeping staff even up on our level anymore, which lead us to believe it wasn’t just a short period of time. Luckily, we were at the corner and our door was not visible from the road, and everything was accounted for, but this felt like a huge violation of trust. Before even checking that everything was there, I went downstairs to let the front desk staff know, and he apologized profusely and paged housekeeping to speak with them, but that was all that was done For our door being left wide open, we will not be staying here on our next trip.

We had a ground floor room facing the coast. Roomy. Contained all we needed. The Inn is at the southern end of the Seaside Promenade. We loved the peaceful location. Enjoyable walk to the noisier, active part of town. So glad we chose this spot.

We had a lovely time at Seaside, and loving staying a little away from the hustle and bustle of the main strip. This hotel was quiet, directly on the beach, and overall everything we were looking for. The staff was so friendly, the facilities clean, and the parking easy.

It’s a nice enough hotel but I wouldn’t choose it again because it’s a mile south of town, and when I read reviews saying it was a ten minute walk, I thought it sounded doable. But when there’s a really cold breeze blowing, I realized I had no desire to walk a mile in it. (I also regretted picking a hotel without a breakfast. My husband walked 2 blocks to the little market but the frozen breakfast burritos were sold out, and the cafe that was only 1 block away was packed.) The bed was a little firm for my taste but my husband liked it. We had no trouble finding a parking spot in their little lot. It did sound like the people in the room above us were moving furniture, but thankfully that didn’t last too long, but I would recommend earplugs. It was convenient having the kitchenette, but there was only regular coffee, no decaf.

The front office staff was very helpful. The view from our room was amazing! Third floor ocean view room. Local restaurants were perfect for a great meal and watching sports. Billy Mac’s was just a short walk down the street.

Unfortunately our booked room type was no longer available when we arrived as we had to switch dates. So instead with a king size bed and a full size bed for us and our son (suite) we ended up in a room with two doubles, which was rather uncomfortable for the night. But I can imagine that the original room would have been great. The view was stunning and the staff very nice. For over $300 a night, they should offer at least continental breakfast, though - we found it expensive, especially for our smaller room.The hotel is in a great location to walk downtown. During the day, the town is fantastic, but when we arrived the first evening, we had a hard time to find an open rest around after 8 PM.

This property is advertised as Oceanfront, which it technically is, but there is a wide natural landscaped area and a pedestrian walkway between the rooms and the ocean. If you are on the 1st floor, you will have walkers and bikers traveling past your patio door. There is no railing between the patio and the walkway. We had a two bedroom, 1 1/2-bathroom room with a kitchen. The room was large and comfortable. The beds were comfortable, but the pillows were not. The towels were fluffy. The kitchen was stocked with plates, glasses, utensils, and a dishwasher. There were even taffys left on the table! TV's worked great and so did the gas fireplace. There are some good breakfast places within walking distance. There is parking on site, but it is tight. The staff was wonderful!!

We loved our stay here. Amadeus checked us in and was very helpful. We also had the pleasure of talking to him about dog training, which he has a plethora of knowledge about! The ocean view rooms feel very expansive with the water and the cafe next door has a great breakfast!

Lovely place overall and great location, balcony seemed a bit wobbly so we stayed off it, but great seaside views. We also enjoyed the microwave sized oven. Nearby market was convenient but the 2-3 restaurants a block away are probably worth skipping for something closer to the main drag.

The two staff members we met were very nice. My BFF flew in from Minneapolis so we could have a girl's trip to the beach. We were there for two nights. We appreciated the "space" , as we had a two bedroom suite. The beds were nice, clean, and comfortable . The view was nice. However, they need to do a deep clean of the room! There was black stuff on the white trim throughout the room. The balcony glass was filthy, and had what looked like black mold along the top and bottom. We went barefoot for about an hour before bed. The bottoms of our feet were black! So we wore shoes from then on. I would suggest that they add a body wash to the samples they have in the bathroom. Also a note pad and pen would be handy! They offer free movies in the office to view in the room which is nice. I will look for another place to stay next time
The two staff members we met were very nice. My BFF flew in from Minneapolis so we could have a girl's trip to the beach. We were there for two nights. We appreciated the "space" , as we had a two bedroom suite. The beds were nice, clean, and comfortable . The view was nice. However, they need to do a deep clean of the room! There was black stuff on the white trim throughout the room. The balcony glass was filthy, and had what looked like black mold along the top and bottom. We went barefoot for about an hour before bed.
