Trash. Floor tiles coming up in the bathroom pinching your feet and rocking around. Carpet sticky like cotton candy. Toilet wouldnt flush. No dresser for my clothing. Hot tub shut.down and boarded up. Juice machine at breakfast out of order. So if the room is trash....the spa area is trash and the breakfast experience is trash...im going to rate the overall experience as trash. Supet disappointed with the mosy expensive hotel in town.

This HD was well worn. Bed sagged and uncomfortable. No linens for pull out bed until requested. Hot Tub was out of order.

The carpet is dirty and torn. The floor underneath is lumpy. The floor tiles inbthe kitchen and especially the bathroom are cracked and loose. The couch is dirty, sagging and old. The elevator is small, and old, and you can feel it slipping. That was really concerning. Broken glass window at the pool. They put $50 on my card for incidentals, I'm heading down there for a credit.

Friendly at check-in. There was a food truck parked at front very loud. Reception had her grandchild up front. No A/C in food area so hot, could have provided fans. Rooms were old. Carpet was old.

Im staying at different Holiday Inn Express from Houston to DFW. The room in Alvarado smelled musty and moldy. The toilet had water stained and appeared uncleaned, the carpet felt sticky and wet, the walls had stains, the water temperature got “warm” not hot, elevator was gross. This was a terrible hotel. None of the other Holiday Inn trips were like this one. I arrived around 9:30pm exhausted so slept in my clothes, woke up, brushed teeth and left the room around 6:30am. I did decide to get a cup of coffee when leaving and it was hot. None of the breakfast was out which doesn’t go out until 7am, but a half tray of cinnamon rolls were sitting under a cold lamp from what I assume the previous day. If you can choose, do not choose this hotel.

The staff at this location were friendly, available, and timely. The elevator is slow and the washer didn’t work. Other than that this was a great place to stay in Alvarado. Breakfast was good and the cook was so kind. Everyone here was super helpful.

Our specific room I guess was next to a maintenance closet, the vibration from the equipment could be felt in our room, shook the wall and couch. The pool was cold for being indoor, and was pretty dirty with sand. The room itself was decent other than that and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

We checked in and there was blood on the sheets in an unclean room, I had to go downstairs to get new sheets. Upon returning we found out the AC was broken, the shower wasn’t working, and there were chips and other items in the room which was still dirty.

Room was dirty when we checked in they gave me a toilet boil brush with no spray or anything to do myself said they couldn’t do anything since housekeeping was gone for the day. Carpet is filthy, comforters smelled bad, we went for an event and booked 5 rooms total, 2 were cancelled one day before stating there was a pipe broken but they had clearly overbooked. In a suite we got the AC was not working. Housekeeping went once in 4 days to clean room when twice I told him we needed trash taken out and bathrooms cleaned.

The staff was really friendly and the beds were comfortable. The hotel definitely needed an update. The walls in our room were stained and/or scuffed. It smelled liked mildew and we noticed the lamps and bathroom fixtures were rusting. The tile in the bathroom was loose and didn’t have grout. The floors were uneven. It was right next to the highway and was really noisy. The area wasn’t in very good shape either.

Do not expect any help or flexibility if your flight gets delayed repeatedly then rerouted to a city 5 hours away. my flight was supposed to be to DFW, but was delayed multiple times then rerouted to San Antonio. We didn't even ask for a refund, just to move the reservation from Friday to Sunday. We tried to call the hotel with no answer. Then contacted hotels.com to attempt to get our reservation moved. Unfortunately the property declined, choosing no flexibility and taking the money and leaving us with no hotel and out $250.

Do not expect any help or flexibility if your flight gets delayed repeatedly then rerouted to a city 5 hours away. my flight was supposed to be to DFW, but was delayed multiple times then rerouted to San Antonio. We had a wedding and the employee wouldn’t help us at all in making sure we have our room ready even when we called with 2 weeks of anticipation. The employee told me to call the day of and I did twice and she didn’t prioritize us as we had given anticipation. Please don’t stay here if you plan to go to a wedding as the staff won’t be able to accommodate.

The staff at this location were friendly, available, and timely. The elevator is slow and the washer didn’t work. Other than that this was a great place to stay in Alvarado. Breakfast was good and the cook was so kind. Everyone here was super helpful.

Overall I really enjoyed staying here with my husband! The part I was most impressed by is the front desk staff. I left some items in my room after I checked out and Shauna was kind enough to confirm they had them and help to get them shipped to me. Since I live several hours away. She was so kind and went above and beyond. Highly recommend staying here.

Worst experience ever! The rooms were dirty, smelly and dated. They processed my credit card for deposit which reflected immediately on my account, yet the front desk clerk called to my room to ask me to verbally give her my credit card number again. I informed her that I wasn’t comfortable with her writing my credit card information but that I would gladly walk down to show her where it reflected on my account. She said that was irrelevant to her and she wanted my card info. Her attitude was horrific and she then called me in my room and told me that I need to leave immediately! My sister and I traveled for several hours to meet at this location, only to be treated with disrespect and prejudice. I do not recommend this hotel.

Noisy due to the construction on the freeway side that we stayed on. Also seemed a little run down, loose floor tiles in the bathroom, I tripped twice on the corner edge were the carpet and the tile joined together in the kitchen area, just believe it’s time for a “remodel”

The staff was really friendly and the beds were comfortable. The hotel definitely needed an update. The walls in our room were stained and/or scuffed. It smelled liked mildew and we noticed the lamps and bathroom fixtures were rusting. The tile in the bathroom was loose and didn’t have grout. The floors were uneven. It was right next to the highway and was really noisy. The area wasn’t in very good shape either.

Easy check in. Room clean and comfortable. Staff super friendly and greeted you each time you walked into the building. 5 minutes from airport and they do offer an airport shuttle.

The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was quite spacious. I was worried that the road noise would disturb our sleep but it was very quiet and we drifted off without issue. This was a very enjoyable stay.

Trash. Floor tiles coming up in the bathroom pinching your feet and rocking around. Carpet sticky like cotton candy. Toilet wouldnt flush. No dresser for my clothing. Hot tub shut.down and boarded up. Juice machine at breakfast out of order. So if the room is trash....the spa area is trash and the breakfast experience is trash...im going to rate the overall experience as trash. Supet disappointed with the mosy expensive hotel in town.

Friendly at check-in. There was a food truck parked at front very loud. Reception had her grandchild up front. No A/C in food area so hot, could have provided fans. Rooms were old. Carpet was old.

Im staying at different Holiday Inn Express from Houston to DFW. The room in Alvarado smelled musty and moldy. The toilet had water stained and appeared uncleaned, the carpet felt sticky and wet, the walls had stains, the water temperature got “warm” not hot, elevator was gross. This was a terrible hotel. None of the other Holiday Inn trips were like this one. I arrived around 9:30pm exhausted so slept in my clothes, woke up, brushed teeth and left the room around 6:30am. I did decide to get a cup of coffee when leaving and it was hot. None of the breakfast was out which doesn’t go out until 7am, but a half tray of cinnamon rolls were sitting under a cold lamp from what I assume the previous day. If you can choose, do not choose this hotel.

The property is run down. There is a moldy, musty smell and the carpets are stained and dirty. I felt like the front desk staff was doing the best they could to keep people happy and were professional. The property is not at all on brand with my experiences with the Holiday Inn Express. I have stayed at them all over the world. I ended up leaving this property and changed to Hampton Inn.

The safe was gracious and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. beds were amazingly comfortable. The overall property was grungy, they have construction workers staying there, which isn’t a problem but the carpets are dingy, greasy filthy. That’s all.

Overall, our visit was okay. The hotel was older in appearance than we thought. The rooms didn't have some of the amenities that we have come to expect from Holiday Inn Express. The water pressure in the bathroom sink was terrible. The sink was clogged, so it drained slowly. The shower leaked and got water all over the floor. The humidity in the room was so bad that the floor in the bathroom never really dried, the carpet felt cold and damp and the window a/c unit ran all the time but never got rid of the humidity. The breakfast buffet had many choices and good hours of operation, but the food was not up to par with other Holiday Inn's that we have stayed with. The food wasn't as hot, when something ran out, they didn't replace it very fast and overall, the food wasn't that good. The staff was very friendly, check-in and check-out were a breeze and the location was very convenient. Parking was good, as we came in late one night and still found places to park. The room was kept clean and fresh towels were left each day. This facility has a work-out room that my husband frequented each day. We were within walking distance of several restaurants, which was nice that we didn't have to drive to get something to eat. On a scale from 1 to 10, I would give it a 7.

Horrible experience. Elevator didn’t work the entire time so we had to use the stairs for the 3rd level. Extremely loud rooms, dirty floors and not enough towels for 2 people. Exit doors leaving the building did not work. Did not feel safe at all at this establishment.
