The Newport Resort works perfectly for our family. Two bathrooms and two bedrooms allow for both comfort and privacy. The kitchen is nice for cooking when we desire a small meal. The pool is clean and relaxing. The gym is nice for an extra workout. My son’s favorite part… the unlimited complimentary hot chocolate. Always go Premier to avoid 2nd floor noises and enjoy the comfort of the bath robes after leaving the pool. If you can’t take the pool towels with you, leave the pool in comfort for the small extra charge. Slightly older decor, but it works for us. Thanks Newport Resort! We’ve never had a bad stay.

hot tub looked clean but after using it and it drained YUCK. Fine hair all over someone shaved their legs. Who ever cleaned didn't run jets to clean them out

great location, walking distance to many restaurants and shops. staff is very accommodating. Pool, hot tub and sauna were great after a day of walking. Highly recommend!

We have stayed at the Newport Resort many times. It is very clean and comfortable. The amenities are great for families! They have indoor and outdoor pool and indoor and outdoor play areas for kids. We always rent a two bedroom and it has everything we need. A small but well equipt kitchen. We typically cook breakfast and eat for for lunch and dinner. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I hgihly recommend this resort especially for families.

Rooms, kitchen, etc. provides adequate space for 4. The space was clean and ready for guests. We had a difficult time regulating a comfortable temperature in the main living room and bedrooms - it was rather warm. Opening windows helped, but then cooled down too much overnight. We found out the day we went swimming (indoor pool), the pool was about the temp the hot tub should be, and the hot tub was at a scalding temp.

We love staying at this property with another couple. The two bedroom, two bath is super affordable for a long weekend away. Great outdoor and indoor pool/hot tub. Walk into town for a few restaurants and bars. Free bikes too!

Stayed here for the first time with my husband and 6 year old son. Good space in the units and large pools. My husband especially enjoyed the free 24/7 coffee! My only complaint was the small sauna and some garbage around the pool areas.

We loved to suite we had with two bedrooms, kitchen, two bathrooms and living area. I don't feel that the floors where as clean as they could of been. We found several things under the beds that were left behind by someone else that stayed before us. Staff was super friendly and helpful. The pool area was very nice and the hot tub and pool temps were great. Short walk to stores on mainstreet. I would stay again!

Our kitchen counter was not the cleanest and the pool area definitely needed cleaning. When checking with the desk person, he said it was cleaned three days earlier. There were many pool toys laying around and areas where there was lots of hair on the pool deck. Otherwise, our stay was fine.

I had to have emergency after hours housekeeping come because the sheets on both of the beds in our room (room #228) were full of long black hair. It was obvious that the sheets hadn’t been changed from the previous guest. Initially the front desk staff didn’t want to believe there was hair on the sheets, until i showed pictures of the sheets with the hair on it. The bed itself was very uncomfortable. 5 nights on a soft mattress killed my back. The patio door lock in our room was broken. The hot tub in the pool area was extremely hot. Could not stay in it very long. Not to mention that the room was haunted. A glass slid across the counter by itself, a knife flew at my daughter and the hanging light fixture above the dining table would sway on its own. No breeze or draft. Being off season- it was a good price, but would not go back. Ever.

Rooms vary. Ours was pretty outdated. We had family staying in other rooms and theirs seemed in better condition. Our rooms air conditioning was very loud, it needs updating. The shower and bath need replacing, mildew. Housekeeping does not enter your room, not a full service resort. Common areas are nice.

The room was so wonderful and spacious. We had a two bedroom suite. It was so nice having the oven to cook pizza at night after the wedding. Some of the kitchen drawers had crumbs in them, it could use an update. Walls could be wiped down better, and there were little pieces of garbage around the dressers and corners of room. Overall, it was fantastic, but there are some little details that the housekeeping could hone in on.

We were blown away by the Newport Resort! Our suite was huge! Two bedroom, two bathrooms, full kitchen, deck and living room. Tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable. Short walk to dining, shopping, the beach and marina. Only regret is we didn’t book for longer.

We stay here a few times a year. The location is perfect and the patio is over sized so you can have a nice dinner or just relax out there. We do wish the beds were a little nicer but over all it is so worth it!

Very nice rooms, we were on the first floor and had a problem with the noise above us. The staff was very considerate and found a room to move us too. Which was on the second floor. We really appreciated that. I would say when you decide which room is going to which customers, families with child should be on the first floor.

Very clean and large room. We had suite , there was bedroom, bathroom, fireplace ,kitchenette, dining room set and couch and 2 chairs for sitting area. A patio too with 4 chairs. Only complaint was bed was so uncomfortable that we hardly was able to sleep. Husband slept on couch..very big shower! Nice hot shower.

Stayed for a long weekend with friends. Overall the hotel was nice and quaint and in a great location. We did have a one bedroom and it was SMALL. I was a bit shocked as we were told it was a “premium one bedroom suite”. The room was galley style and very narrow. The kitchen was also small with next to no counter space. Another thing we didn’t enjoy is how warm our room was. The A/C was placed so it just blew towards the opposite wall of the room and not out into the room as a whole. We know that this is something that couldn’t be helped but just made spending time in the room difficult. The best part of the resort is the indoor and outdoor playgrounds and the ball pit. Our kiddos had so much fun!

The room was well appointed, spacious and clean. Some updating could be ysed but the amenities, pool and incredible staff will make your stay great. The proximity to a grocery, restarants, library and sunsets at the park are all an easy walk. We love this place!

Really lovely accommodations in a very convenient location. Loved having two separate bedrooms and two bathrooms. Great use of space; cozy, functional, pleasant decor. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great price for what we got. I will absolutely come back!

We took a suite and it was very spacious, clean and convenient. It has lot of things to offer for families. But the property feels dated and stale and needs renovation. The front desk lady on our way out didn’t seem very friendly or courteous. Otherwise the staff were very nice and helpful.

I was so very excited to arrive at this hotel and have it be everything I had hoped for. Our check in was efficient and we were so excited to see our room--spacious, clean, and modern. Perfect. We loved the extras like the on property smalll grocery/gift shop, beautiful public spaces like the hot tub and pool, fireplace area with magazines and games, and free coffee.

Staff was great! Very helpful and nice. Room was very nice but our light would not turn off which we reported our first night and never got fixed. We had to turn the light bulbs out so that it would turn off. Pool area outside was very nice, however pool was a tad green and dirty. It was swimmable, but expected cleaner. Lastly, indoor pool area was also very nice but the hot tub was not working properly and you could not turn on the motor to make it bubble which is the whole point of the hot tub. Overall, we would stay there again. It was a very nice place. We were just conveying some of the things that could’ve been better.

Lastly, indoor pool area was also very nice but the hot tub was not working properly and you could not turn on the motor to make it bubble which is the whole point of the hot tub. Overall, we would stay there again. It was a very nice place. We were just conveying some of the things that could’ve been better.

The Newport Resort works perfectly for our family. Two bathrooms and two bedrooms allow for both comfort and privacy. The kitchen is nice for cooking when we desire a small meal. The pool is clean and relaxing. The gym is nice for an extra workout. My son’s favorite part… the unlimited complimentary hot chocolate. Always go Premier to avoid 2nd floor noises and enjoy the comfort of the bath robes after leaving the pool. If you can’t take the pool towels with you, leave the pool in comfort for the small extra charge. Slightly older decor, but it works for us. Thanks Newport Resort! We’ve never had a bad stay.

We had a great stay at Newport Resort. The suite was clean and comfy. The pool area is spacious and the hot tub is very nice. Will definitely stay here again. Wish they had breakfast though.

The Newport is a beautiful property. Our suite was spacious and tastefully decorated. Comfortable bed, full kitchen, balcony and air conditioning. No breakfast included, but with a full kitchen, we didn’t need one. The front desk staff at check in were friendly and helpful. We’ll be back.

I was so very excited to arrive at this hotel and have it be everything I had hoped for. Our check in was efficient and we were so excited to see our room--spacious, clean, and modern. Perfect. We loved the extras like the on property smalll grocery/gift shop, beautiful public spaces like the hot tub and pool, fireplace area with magazines and games, and free coffee.

The room was very nice. You can hear the people walking above you but it wasn’t a problem for us. The amenities are very nice. We used the nice little market, the free coffee and the pool. The pool areas are very nice. Great location convenient to nice dining, shopping, spa and coffee.

Well stocked kitchen, they kept track of what should be found there with a detailed list. The climate now mandates air conditioning. What has been added to the rooms works, but is obtrusively noisy. Other than that, no complaint and we had a wonderful time.

The room was very comfortable and the facilities were very nice. Some things were missing from the room and broken. There were supposed to be two bottles of wine in the room and if you used them, you would be charged but when we got there, there was no wine to be found. Plates were missing. One vase was broken, and the light switches turned off all the lights that had plugs for you to charge your devices on which made them hard to use.

We loved staying here. The staff was very helpful when we needed it, and it’s lovely that they have a good wine selection just by the reception desk. We had a living room, a bedroom and a kitchen, just like an apartment. I never got the coffee right- the packets they gave us made wimpy coffee, seemingly no matter how much or how little water I used. We have Nespresso at home, so I may be out of practice. Also, there was no place for luggage. I like to unpack, but my husband prefers to keep his suitcase open. We had to keep it on the sofa. There was no other surface where it would fit, and no place on the floor where we wouldn’t trip over it. However, the whole place is lovely. And it certainly couldn’t have been more convenient- a market practically next door, and a whole world of possibilities for shopping, dining, whatever. We’ll be back!

At check-in, we got an earful from the staff who did not like that we used hotel.com/Expedia to book the room (that’s how we found the place!) and that kicked off a subpar experience. Pros: it was nice to spread out and have access to the 2 bed/2 bath apartment. It’s located in walking distance of the main drag and harbor in Egg Harbor. Cons: the place is run down. It needs a major cleaning, maintenance and refresh. They also seemed to opt for the cheapest of everything: lightbulbs, sheets, towels, soaps, etc.
