Hotel is in the mountains...so peaceful and beautiful. Very comfortable and efficient room. Felt like being in a cabin. Room had standard refrig and stove, sink, cabinets, sm appliances, plates, cups, glasses, silverware. Great shower pressure. Bed was comfortable. No AC... don't need it. Back patio with grills, hot tub and chairs. River in grounds for fishing. Mountains all around property. Highly recommend.

This hotel is the closest you will get to the Wolf Creek base. Their rooms have obviously been renovated somewhat recently because they are new, clean, and have fantastic flatscreens ! The hot tub is also great and easily accessible from the hotel style rooms. Great stay and we will be back!

The location, amenities, staff, and high-quality decor cannot be beat. Super cute and perfect for making your own meals, or a short drive to South Fork. I had been here 15-20 years ago and am blown away by the updated, comfortable, and super clean conditions. Check in and out were a breeze and we enjoyed the hot tub during our stay. A little noisy if someone slams their door next to you, but not a big deal at all. I can't wait to go back!!

Very clean and updated, comfortable beds, huge t.v with satellite. Having a kitchen was very useful, back door from kitchen led to a communal deck with gas grills, that we also used ! Walked to river right behind unit that was nice very short walk. Only suggestion would be to have 2 chairs per unit on deck. There was a picnic table down from our but didn't use it, I would remove it and add the chairs. Very nice place they also had a hot tub but we did not use it. I'm so glad we stayed here !!

We stayed 3 nights and loved the property. We used the grill out back 2 of the nights, very handy/appreciated. Very laid back, not in your face, great facility. Easy access to Creede, South Fork, Wolf Creek Pass, etc. We loved the stayed and would definitely consider staying again.

Wow! My husband and I kept telling each other that this was the best place we stayed our whole trip (from Wisconsin to Arizona and back). The room was sparkling clean and in great condition. The pictures do not do it justice! We appreciated and utilized the grill and everything in the kitchen. My daughter enjoyed the playground area, though I noticed there was a little wear and tear that might need to be addressed. It’s clear they just planted some new trees there for shade, so those will be wonderful when they grow and fill out! Because this is a ski lodge, there is no AC, but the room was cool and the ceiling fan was nice. We’re already hoping to return in the future when we pass through the mountains again.

Beds were very comfortable, facilities were clean and the room was spotless. It was nice having a kitchen to save a few bucks on eating out. Overall it was a great stay and would have no problem staying here again if our travels take us thru the area.

Excellent overnight stop along the Southfork of the Rio Grande. I wish we had more time to explore the area. Though the outside was a bit unkept, room was great. Parked right outside the door and stayed in one of 8 rooms. Very reasonable. About 8 miles from nearest restaurant in Southfork but does have full kitchen. Highly recommend.

The outside appearance is deceiving. It is rustic with modern fixtures and comfort. Geat bed & bedding, a Keurig in the fully equipped kitchen, attached deck with rocking chairs just outside the back. Our King unit had, not just a sofa, but a reclining sofa. It is located close to well traveled hwy but noise from it was not too loud. Lovely.

Basically a nice stay of two nights. It’s a small room- 2 queens with no chair so you’re either on the bed or out on the shared patio. There’s an adequate small kitchen and a tub. The drawback is the tap water- smells a bit sulphur-y and it tastes really bad! That’s a small thing though—

Wolf Creek Ranch Ski Lodge is a gem! The owner was so gracious and helpful at check-in. Our room was perfect. It has a full kitchen, comfy beds and a back door that faces the mountain. Also, the ski mountain is only 10-15 mins away. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately we only stayed here one night on our last day of vacation. The room was very spacious and clean and the kitchen was well stocked. Wish we had more time to enjoy it!! Would definitely recommend.

The property is lovely. The rooms are freshly remodeled from what I could tell and they are just perfect. The grounds were well kept and the host staff are very welcoming and willing to help no matter what time day or night.

Fairly recent updates. No AC. Close to busy highway. Trucks using Jake break all hours. Owner very pleasant and accommodating. Sulphur water. Have cabins on water front (cost 3 times that of lodge room). Assortment of snack foods, etc. in lodge store. Serve yourself towels, trash, etc. No daily room service. All things that would be nice too know before booking. We're Seniors and had trouble with altitude issues but would recommend accomodations as long as you're made aware before booking.

Rooms appeared to be newly remodeled. Wish they had advertised that there is no A/C, which mattered as we stayed during a heatwave. Manager brought us a box fan, which made it bearable at night, but would have preferred to know before booking.

This place is SO cool. All hand built knotty pine and log wood interior. Floor plan on the smaller rooms is so great with how kitchen/bath is set up. Right on the river. Super caring amazing hosts

Room was very clean and we had everything we needed. Check in was a breeze and checkout was even easier. We had to check out at 0530 in the morning and had zero issues. Done in 2 seconds. Would highly recommend.

We stayed in the hotel-style rooms, but the online photos were misleading. We chose this place because it appeared the rooms were right on the water. However, they only have one or two such cabins. Additionally, it was frustrating that the phone number listed online, on their website, and on Hotels.com was not in service, making it impossible to coordinate a late check-in.

The cabin was very nice and well equipped! We really enjoyed our stay and the staff were helpful and friendly. It is close to the road but I was surprised how quiet it was inside the room. We stay 3 nights and will definitely stay again when in the area.

We did not take advantage of the hot tub. Everything was fine. We would stay again. The only quibble is that the lodge is actually about 7 or 8 miles west of South Fork--half way between town and the Wolf Creek ski resort. We just assumed it would be in town. We did not take advantage of the hot tub. Everything was fine. We would stay again. Wolf Creek Ranch Ski Lodge is a gem! The owner was so gracious and helpful at check-in. Our room was perfect. It has a full kitchen, comfy beds and a back door that faces the mountain. Also, the ski mountain is only 10-15 mins away. Highly recommend.

We arrived at Wolf Creek lodge after a 6 night stay in Rocky Mountain National Park tent camping. We were in need of some comfort and amenities! We were not disappointed. The location was beautiful, nestled right on the Rio Grande River. The room was spacious and comfortable with everything you’d need including a fridge and small kitchen. We watched a little TV on a large flat screen as we kicked back in the dual reclining love seat! I don’t want to forget the relaxing jacuzzi that we took that was just a few steps away from our room! It was well worth the drive from no matter how far you’re traveling!

This was a perfect location to do things in several different directions, Pagosa Springs, South Fork, Creede, and Great Sand Dunes Nat. Park were all easy trips. The room was super clean and comfortable, with large-screen tv, easy access to river. So pretty. Will definitely return.

Loved this motel and would definitely stay again! Room was very clean and nicely updated. Nice to have a couch in our room to sit on and a full kitchen. One of the employees even warned us not to leave our wet shoes on the back porch because there was a fox around that likes to steal shoes. If you are questioning whether to stay here, do it!

Great place and great price. Onlly down side was there was no where near to eat or buy food.there was a stove ,grill frig just no groceries or resturant.

I liked staying here. The rooms have obviously been updated recently and they look nice. It was good to have a kitchenette, since there are almost no dining options in South Fork. My son loved that there were kids to play with and lots of space to run around. It is a quirky, quiet little lodge and we will stay there again next year.

Nice place. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Gorgeous location. Good trout fishing in the river on the property. Close to South Fork for groceries and some great pizza.

The location, amenities, staff, and high-quality decor cannot be beat. Super cute and perfect for making your own meals, or a short drive to South Fork. I had been here 15-20 years ago and am blown away by the updated, comfortable, and super clean conditions. Check in and out were a breeze and we enjoyed the hot tub during our stay. A little noisy if someone slams their door next to you, but not a big deal at all. I can't wait to go back!!

Very clean and updated, comfortable beds, huge t.v with satellite. Having a kitchen was very useful, back door from kitchen led to a communal deck with gas grills, that we also used ! Walked to river right behind unit that was nice very short walk. Only suggestion would be to have 2 chairs per unit on deck. There was a picnic table down from our but didn't use it, I would remove it and add the chairs. Very nice place they also had a hot tub but we did not use it. I'm so glad we stayed here !!

We stayed 3 nights and loved the property. We used the grill out back 2 of the nights, very handy/appreciated. Very laid back, not in your face, great facility. Easy access to Creede, South Fork, Wolf Creek Pass, etc. We loved the stayed and would definitely consider staying again.

This is a great place to stay in the summer if you prefer to be a little outside of the bustle of South Fork. 10 miles south of town, it gives you an easy drive either way to Creede for summer theatre and events, or to Pagosa Springs. Comfortable beds and well equipped kitchens, and a nice hot tub to relax in after long days.

For the most part the room was clean. Was very impressed in the beginning. However, every night when we went to bed- I could not breathe and had to take an emergency inhaler meds. The last night we were there in moving things around noticed nastiness at the edge of the top of the bed in between the walls. Since allergic to dust and mites ; thinking that was the culprit. = 99% of the time we check the bed and because of how impressed we were with 1st impressions we did not check bedding like we normally do. Kitchen was clean- useful with everything needed for most part- Had issues getting oven on but owners husband came to check it out- Hot Tub was supposed to be set hours but when we wanted to use it was still closed. Bathroom lock was reversed so couldn't lock door but, lol someone could lock you in it. Toilet paper roll was busted. BEST THING ABOUT THIS PLACE WAS HOW POLITE & FRIENDLY OWNERS WERE & SCENERY... Room was beautiful but not as clean as should be for sleeping... Tried to talk to owner last day before they opened but, PHONE SERVICE IS HIT & MISS and she couldn't here me but just a little bit. We left 1 day early bc of the breathing issues and not being able to sleep- Owner was gracious and gave 1 day refund since we left 1 day early.
