Mattress was uncomfortable, you could feel the springs. Bath towels were like sandpaper that were in the room, I went downstairs and got a fresh set and they were great. Breakfast was ho-hum compared to the Red Roof Inn at spots I stayed at. Everything else was great and will stay at again next year. Parking was tight, note that there is a upper lot with more spots (right next to the gas station).

We have stayed here several times. This trip the rates seemed somewhat higher. The King suite was recently remodeled and was clean. The problems 1. the gas fireplace did not work. 2. the jacuzzi tub did not work. 3. the bath fan did not work. All the reasons we spend the extra money got us nothing. It was cold (20 deg F) and they were always propping the stairwell door open, maybe afraid the pipes would freeze. This made the hallway right outside our room very cold. I closed it and it was propped open again an hour later. This could be our last time staying there. Also they replaced what was 2 wingback chairs witha little "chaise" that really only was comfortable for 1 person.

I have stayed here with my dog and appreciate that it is dog friendly (no extra charge) and that it has a dog yard. I have also stayed here without a dog and have enjoyed the rooms as well. I will continue to patronize this hotel because it suits both of my needs.

We were traveling with our dogs. This place was so dog friendly they even had an enclosed area for dogs to play off leash. They have rooms dedicated to families staying with dogs that were not carpeted. The rooms were very large and had a beautiful view. The property was well maintained. The breakfast was more than I expected and the staff was friendly and welcoming.

Our first choice when we are in the area! It's quiet, convenient to restaurants and shopping. The beds are comfy and the towels aren't scratchy. Nice breakfast spread. The staff is great and always greet you when you come into the lobby. The only negative is parking. If several guests bring cargo trailers, the parking fills up fast and you have to make your own spot. We highly recommend this hotel!

The property is not in good shape and smells. The fenced in dog run that was advertised had huge holes in the fence. They did not enforce pet owners picking up after their dogs. It was disgusting.

This is an older property with a few issues of being older, but it was a great option for the money! Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was in a nice setting. We did not have the parking issues, but I don't believe the hotel was full either. It would be nice to have the spots marked.

The room was not clean when we checked in. When we returned later on, we found evidence of bed bugs .. and then learned of efforts of several weeks to clear out the bed bugs in our rooms and nearby rooms. We did not stay and demanded a return of our payments. Worst rooms we have ever encountered!

Good area. Nice sized room. Friendly staff. But several issues. Upon check in there were more hairs in the bathroom than I've seen in a long time at a hotel. Visible mold in the shower. Almost no hot water in the shower the first morning then absolutely none the next. Uncomfortable bed. Cigarette burns on furniture. Weak wifi. Streak through the tv screen. I like to support local non-corporate businesses but this place is not up to snuff and my experience didn't match others.

Love that its pet-friendly, but we were on a floor where someone's dog barked on and off for hours. Room was spacious and bed was fine. Shower was good. Unfortunately a few cleanliness things were overlooked (glob of toothpaste covered in hair in sink drain and dead bug on back of headboard) Lastly, we received two random, computer-automated calls about 9 pm. We choose it because we didnt really want to pay $200-400 for just a quick place to sleep, and the price here was $150.

We stay at the Mountainview Inn on occasion, and we normally do not experience any issues. This time, we were placed in a room that had ants in it, by the lamps and the window. We notified the woman at the desk and she didn’t seem to believe us, and had the nerve to have a bit of an attitude when we brought it to her attention. We ended up leaving the next morning. Hopefully they are able to resolve this issue for their future guests. I also have videos of the ants to show that I am not lying.

We were in town for my friend’s family & 65th high school reunion. The hotel is reminiscent of a time when the town was alive with industry. It’s clean. The staff is friendly, no weird smells, very nice breakfast, the rooms are comfortable and clean. The hotel does have some “age” related spots but over all it’s a good value (compared to the well known chains in the area) and the noise level was almost non existent! I’d recommend it to anyone who is visiting the area as well as I’d stay here again!!! Very good experience!!!

Bathroom ceiling and wall disgusting. Jacuzzi is super old and dirty. Hair on the floor.. whole facility needs a full professional cleanup and paint. Breakfast horrible with tasteless deconstructed eggs. If traveling with kids, don’t even think stopping by there

We had a king suite room. The room itself was fine and had a lot of amenities. The hotel is pet friendly, which we understand, but there were at least two dogs howling and barking most of the night while we tried to sleep. Also, someone, maybe the same room as the dogs, plying music all night long. Needless to say, we did not get much, if any, sleep.

The room size of the two queen bed rooms was much larger than we were expecting! Such a positive surprise! The noise of the people above us along with the traffic outside of our room window unfortunately kept us awake throughout the night.

The room was overall fine, bed was firm. Keurig in the room which is rare but a plus. Shower rod was barely hanging on, and the TV never worked, although I never asked for help with it either. Shower was warm and heat/AC was working properly. Strong smell of weed when we walked in the lobby initially, although it faded over time and wasn't noticed when we came back that night or the next morning. No other smoke odors. Slot machines on the lobby didn't lend to a refined ambiance. Breakfast had potential to be good but but was awful. The serving container that should have kept the food warm seemed to be turned off, and the food was stone cold, despite many people around eating. I might stay here again if the price was right and I was just passing through, for all the more I needed it was worth saving $50 vs staying someplace nicer nearby.

Not a great experience but stayed for just 1 night. Dates and teeeible smell in hallway. Paper thin walls could hear everything outside. Television did not have sound and front desk would not assist as they said they were only staff on premise. Spent 2 hours trying to get to work and nothing. Floors were dirty and mattress was not comfortable at all.

I have truble walking; 2 artifical knees and a bad back, I was not able to pull up to the building to check in. I called the office from my car for 10 minutes and noone answered. So I trekked up the hill to find the reception person outside on their phone. When we entered the building the desk phone was still ringing (my phone). she was not at all apologetic. not sure I will stay here again. Too bad because the facility is nice and the price is right.

The check-in staff looked & acted like I had just woken them from a nap in the back upon arrival. I had to ask where the elevators were & when breakfast was since they said literally nothing to me; besides 'name.' The room's towel racks were rusted (not re-using a towel hung on those), the beds springs squeaked all night and could be felt through the mattresses, the (I'm assuming - we didn't touch it) heat lamp timer in the bathroom was hanging out of the wall and breakfast was minimal. And try as we might, we never did find any kind of cable/local stations on the TV. We visited Latrobe twice a year, have always wanted to try this cute hotel on the hill - never again.

Not a great experience but stayed for just 1 night. Dates and teeeible smell in hallway. Paper thin walls could hear everything outside. Television did not have sound and front desk would not assist as they said they were only staff on premise. Spent 2 hours trying to get to work and nothing. Floors were dirty and mattress was not comfortable at all.

The woman that checked me in was really rude. She seemed irritated I wanted to check in. My AC/heating unit did not work at all and there is black mold all around the culking in the bathtub. Don’t go there

The Mountainview Inn is quiet, clean and peaceful. Good place to relax yet it is within minutes of many excellent restaurants, casino and retail. Reasonably priced and friendly helpful staff.

Lovely inn with a great view, nestled in a small town in PA. It’s a bit tricky to get to, especially in the dark, but GPS navigated to it well. Comfy beds. Big room. Breakfast very nice. Pet friendly.

This is priced rediculously low because it sits back iff the road comfortable and clean quiet, breakfast is fresh and adequate, same u wld get at bigger chain hotels, larger restaurants a minute away to easily drive for sitdown if you like but also deliver.. and 4 minutes to drive to Arnold Palmer airport.. win win!!!

The room was great, clean with a comfortable bed. Quiet hotel. Perfect location for the Steelers Training camp. Addition of a waffle bar would be a huge plus to the breakfast.

Very convenient location to many attractions. Morning breakfast was very good and a wonderful variety of items to choose from. Negative comments would be you had to hang a "maid service" sign on your door when you wanted your room cleaned. We did put it out one morning however, room was not cleaned when we returned from our outing. Also, our room was directly above main entrance and we were woke up every morning by very loud conversations around 6:30 a.m. from people outside smoking. We were there for 10 nights and would consider returning again because of location.

We were pleasantly surprised when bacon, eggs, and fried potatoes were included with breakfast since it was listed to only have a continental breakfast.

The room was overall fine, bed was firm. Keurig in the room which is rare but a plus. Shower rod was barely hanging on, and the TV never worked, although I never asked for help with it either. Shower was warm and heat/AC was working properly. Strong smell of weed when we walked in the lobby initially, although it faded over time and wasn't noticed when we came back that night or the next morning. No other smoke odors. Slot machines on the lobby didn't lend to a refined ambiance. Breakfast had potential to be good but but was awful. The serving container that should have kept the food warm seemed to be turned off, and the food was stone cold, despite many people around eating. I might stay here again if the price was right and I was just passing through, for all the more I needed it was worth saving $50 vs staying someplace nicer nearby.

There’s a feeling of “blah” in this hotel, as the desk attendant simply sat and scrolled on his phone. It was a place to stop, the rates are ok and reflect the rest of the building.

There were ants in the breakfast area, and we saw a mouse in the stairwell. We told the front desk staff about the ants, and she cleaned up the microwave they were all over, but there were still bits of food on the floor when she was done wiping so they were already back a few minutes later. We had to use that microwave because the one in our room had a turntable that didn’t work. Just wasn’t super clean and we will not be back.

Clearly used to be apartments but the transition to a hotel has been amazing. Very clean, friendly and accommodating and for the value compared to big chains I will never stay anywhere but here as long as my son is in college. 5 star

This has definitely been the worst hotel stay I’ve ever had! Everything about this hotel was not what I would expect from Hotels.com The hotel was not well kept at all. Walls were dirty, bed squeaky, rust everywhere, cigarette butts and trash all over the ground outside. When I pulled up to check in I had to wait for the attendant to finish her smoke before she could help me! The breakfast was horrible with very few options….. I could go on and on about how horrible this place is but the very worst thing that happened was the rat that woke me up from sleep and scurried under the air conditioner! I frantically called the hotel desk for help but of course there was no answer so needless to say I was up all night with all of the lights on scared to talk asleep because I didn’t want the rat to return! The next morning I went to the desk to complain about the night and all they offered me was a $38 refund and a rat trap! I no longer trust hotels.com because of this. Why would you have such a horrible hotel on your website? I suggest you visit this place and judge for yourself.
