Thé greatîng was not welcoming ,standing at a glass window in the cold. Dog friendly ? not at all, filthy from dog poop everywhere, no place to dispose or bags to clean up and a daily charge. This hotel as many also have no idea the rules of the American disabilities act, there are no papers for service dogs just the fake you can buy on line. Lots of empty rooms yet putting guests next to each other. A homeless looking type was smoking pot outside . This was a bit scary as he was talking to himself. Scattered trash by my door the whole three days. The room was large , clean aged. The bed had a funky plastic mattress cover ,really my worst experience ever,Solo traveling woman I did not feel safe, too bad sounded like a good hotel . It’s also owned remotely by a Chinese corporation

Worth the price and the location was perfect for what we needed it for. The room was an older room with some cosmetic issues but the room its self was clean and the bed was comfy. The room is huge and the bathroom was semi updated. The exterior of the place could use some work.

We chose the Sunrise Inn because it has pull-through parking for folks towing trailers, but next time, we will drive further and stay in Modesto or someplace else. The best I can say is that we didn't have our car broken into and we weren't personally unsafe. The rooms are FILTHY. I walked around barefoot for an hour, and then happened to look at the sole of my foot, and it was absolutely black with grime. The walls and baseboards are grimy in a way that suggests the rooms have not been truly cleaned or mopped in perhaps years. We did a careful bedbug check before going to sleep - and there was no sign of bedbugs, so we didn't leave. There's no lighting in the parking lot at all, and plenty of sketchy characters roaming the neighborhood. And the walls are paper-thin so I could hear the people in the next room talking and watching TV. It felt unsafe and we got up hours early to leave the next morning. I'm leaving two stars because it could have been worse (we could have been broken into or had bedbugs) but it was overall an awful experience and we will not come back.

Good value, very clean and comfortable room. Nicely furnished, bathroom is modern and very functional. TV worked fine. Microwave and large compact refrigerator were convenient. Lots of parking. Adjorning restaurant was very good, big portions, budget priced. Good location near restaurants and shopping. EV chargers nearby.

Get what you pay for. Property was a little run down. Some sketchy people in the parking area up all night. Check in was quick front desk was nice. Room was fairly clean. Stayed one night to go for orientation at nearby college with my daughter. Stayed in worse areas but would stay again if needed.

The check in process was very long. Once we got to our room we were hit with a dirty mop smell. There’s mold growing in the shower and on the floors. Just overall not clean not a comfortable stay.

Check in was fast. The worker was very nice. When we walked into the room, it was spacious and clean. The air conditioner worked which was a plus. The only bad thing I can complain about this place is the bed. It wasn't comfortable. They had a mattress pad and it still wasn't to my liking. I felt the springs underneath. Other than that, it was a quiet little place. Check out was also quick and fast.

The internet did not work. Although the room was clean We were greeted by a dead cockroach and live silverfish and the room backed up to a loud store parking lot. The room was austere, but no bad smells. The gap between the bedroom and bathroom was sealed with duct tape. It wasn’t inexpensive, but it felt like it - no pool, no breakfast, made to stand outside of reception and it was only 7:30pm. I regret booking this.

Appreciate it for what it is. Sunrise Inn is an older motel originally built on US 99 that has been bypassed when they turned 99 into a freeway and moved it about a mile out of town. The motel has been refurbished well. It is clean and quiet. The beds are comfortable and not overly soft and there is plenty of bedding. This is the third time I stayed there while visiting Turlock and will stay again. The rooms all have refrigerators, microwaves, coffee pots & coffee. There are plenty of electrical outlets and the free wifi is stable and fast. The rates are lower than several of the chain motels in Turlock that have lower ratings than the Sunrise Inn. Nothing is cheap anymore, but this motel probably has the biggest value for the buck in Turlock. It is family owned.

It's a 60s era motel. The front staff were kind. The room was clean but run down. You had to sign a bunch of forms acknowledging you were liable for any damage. The worst part was the outside my window fiesta and the constant train noise. Lesson learned you get what you pay for

They told me there was a room deposit of $50 which would be returned if there was no damage and nothing stolen. This deposit was not mentioned in any way on your booking service, and I would have gone elsewhere had it been. The room was clean but kind of run down , including a wobbly toilet. The property was very noisy including several train horns and track noise and the room they put me in backed up to what looked like a similar motel complete with some moron tuning up the bass woolfers in his trunk. Last but not least, there were only 2 pillows for the bed I got no sleep, the coffeemaker in the room looked dirty so I walked to a nearby bodega for coffee. Wouldn’t recommend this dump to anyone

Scattered trash by my door the whole three days. The room was large , clean aged. The bed had a funky plastic mattress cover ,really my worst experience ever,Solo traveling woman I did not feel safe, too bad sounded like a good hotel . Thé greatîng was not welcoming ,standing at a glass window in the cold. Dog friendly ? not at all, filthy from dog poop everywhere, no place to dispose or bags to clean up and a daily charge. This hotel as many also have no idea the rules of the American disabilities act, there are no papers for service dogs just the fake you can buy on line. Lots of empty rooms yet putting guests next to each other. A homeless looking type was smoking pot outside . This was a bit scary as he was talking to himself. Check in was fast. The worker was very nice. When we walked into the room, it was spacious and clean. The air conditioner worked which was a plus. The only bad thing I can complain about this place is the bed. It wasn't comfortable. They had a mattress pad and it still wasn't to my liking. I felt the springs underneath. Other than that, it was a quiet little place. Check out was also quick and fast.

I ended up not staying at this property- there was no one else there, my room was isolated at the back of the property - check in was through a plastic window with many forms to sign indemnifying them from theft; I felt like they assumed I am a criminal. I got the feeling they have problems here and just left.

I arrived early but had no problem doing an early check in, there was a fee but it wasnt too much. Had to have a late check out and the gentleman that was at the front check in desk was able to accomodate a really late check out free of charge. He was awesome!! Overall it was a comfortable stay. I will definitely be staying there again.

Get what you pay for. Property was a little run down. Some sketchy people in the parking area up all night. Check in was quick front desk was nice. Room was fairly clean. Stayed one night to go for orientation at nearby college with my daughter. Stayed in worse areas but would stay again if needed.

Reasonable property for the price but I was required to post a cash deposit if I wanted a refund at check out or a credit card deposit with a refund in a week plus. There was no mention of any deposit requirement in the property's listing. Very upsetting . . .

People are living at this hotel. When I pulled in to register there was a man standing outside with a half gallon of vodka bottle next to him, area in which this hotel is located is suspect didn’t feel like my car would be safe overnight.

Worth the price and the location was perfect for what we needed it for. The room was an older room with some cosmetic issues but the room its self was clean and the bed was comfy. The room is huge and the bathroom was semi updated. The exterior of the place could use some work.

We chose the Sunrise Inn because it has pull-through parking for folks towing trailers, but next time, we will drive further and stay in Modesto or someplace else. The best I can say is that we didn't have our car broken into and we weren't personally unsafe. The rooms are FILTHY. I walked around barefoot for an hour, and then happened to look at the sole of my foot, and it was absolutely black with grime. The walls and baseboards are grimy in a way that suggests the rooms have not been truly cleaned or mopped in perhaps years. We did a careful bedbug check before going to sleep - and there was no sign of bedbugs, so we didn't leave. There's no lighting in the parking lot at all, and plenty of sketchy characters roaming the neighborhood. And the walls are paper-thin so I could hear the people in the next room talking and watching TV. It felt unsafe and we got up hours early to leave the next morning. I'm leaving two stars because it could have been worse (we could have been broken into or had bedbugs) but it was overall an awful experience and we will not come back.

Good value, very clean and comfortable room. Nicely furnished, bathroom is modern and very functional. TV worked fine. Microwave and large compact refrigerator were convenient. Lots of parking. Adjorning restaurant was very good, big portions, budget priced. Good location near restaurants and shopping. EV chargers nearby.

The train tracks are a blick away and teains run about every hour, there was duct tape holding the bathroom threshold down, plumbing is super load when you flysh the toilet. I will never stay in this hotel again.

It's a 60s era motel. The front staff were kind. The room was clean but run down. You had to sign a bunch of forms acknowledging you were liable for any damage. The worst part was the outside my window fiesta and the constant train noise. Lesson learned you get what you pay for

It was decent especially for pricing. It was clean. I'd say the beds are a little firmer than I'd like but that's just on me because of my bed preference, so can't take away for that. Their restaurant is great food and you get plenty on your plate. A bonus was a discount off food from their restaurant for staying there. I had no issues. The staff was very friendly and nice if you had any questions. I will look to booking here again if I need a place to stay in the area.

The internet did not work. Although the room was clean We were greeted by a dead cockroach and live silverfish and the room backed up to a loud store parking lot. The room was austere, but no bad smells. The gap between the bedroom and bathroom was sealed with duct tape. It wasn’t inexpensive, but it felt like it - no pool, no breakfast, made to stand outside of reception and it was only 7:30pm. I regret booking this.

Rom was not clean. Literally a big moth as I opened the door. And cockroaches in the bathroom area. No lock on the shower door (leaked water on the floor). Two bath towels only. No washcloths, no hand towels. ND when I asked for a second room key. Because I listed a guest from the start. I got the third degree. Very very very nosey hotel people. Torn sheets, cigarette burns on all the furniture. And I mean all the furniture. I'm requesting my ONE KEY MONEY Refunded. NO STARS.....

Cops were all over the property when we got there. Screens were slashed. I was supposed to stay there again the following week, but quickly canceled it & found a new place.

Overall pretty average, parking spot and in front of room was great. They must have forgotten to leave any soup. Shower pressure below average. Pillows very flat and few. Sink drain needs clearing out
