You get what you pay for. Perfect place for a "base", when you want to get around a lot and just need a place to sleep. Very nice people, nice area (you would mix with locals, away from tourists). If your plans are sun busking and lounging, it is probably not for you.

Wonderful host and great service. Rooms could have had a full length mirror & perhaps a small chest of drawers but other than that fine. Fantastic location. Owner was lovely! Would recommend :)

A sensible choice for the budget traveller.

This was one of the worst stays I’ve ever had. The room was dirty, there was no air conditioning—just one fan—and barely any airflow. Both my friend and I felt sick from the heat and poor air quality and had to visit a doctor during our trip. I also woke up with bites on my legs and noticed black dots on the bed, possibly bed bugs. The room was never cleaned, and when we asked for soap, the owner told us to just “keep using the same one.” The bathroom light didn’t work properly, and the water in the shower was dangerously hot. The space was tiny and unsafe. At one point, the curtain rod even fell on my head. Worst of all, we were locked out of the building multiple times at night because the entrance key didn’t work—and the owner ignored our calls. He later told us not to call at night because he was sleeping. As two women traveling alone, we felt incredibly unsafe. There was also a dog in the lobby, even though I explained I have a dog allergy. When we asked for basic items like towels, we were met with rudeness and attitude. I contacted Expedia and requested a refund, but the owner refused. I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone. It was nothing like what was advertised, and it should not be listed on Expedia.
