What a wonderful experience. An "old school" motel type property with high tech interaction. The folks checked via text daily to see if you needed anything, and also to get your breakfast order, which was then dropped off outside your door at the time you requested. It far exceeded a typical continental breakfast, to include hot sandwiches, scones, yogurt, bagels and more. Free water bottles and cold beverages always available plus warm chocolate chip cookies every night. So many special touches, like privacy screens between the rooms on the porch so guests aren't walking in front of your room, table and chairs in front of each room, cool wooden screen doors....plus the family is super friendly and helpful. It felt like home.

We planned a last minute trip to the Bar Harbor area. Highbrook motel was very convenient from the free parking on-site, helpful web link with recommendations for the area, shuttle bus pick up at the hotel area, free breakfast, and the room was very clean. We also rented e bikes to ride on the carriage roads. The motel is located very close to the carriage road entrance

We loved our three day stay at the Highbrook. There is a shuttle stop right across the street so you do not have to take a car into Bar Harbor where the parking is crazy. There is also a path that leads into town if you choose to walk. The room was comfortable and breakfast delivery was an added bonus with a decent selection including fresh fruit. The snacks and drinks available in the common area were nice to have available 24/7. I loved that we could order breakfast and clean linens via the app/website. Everything was delivered when promised and it was a seamless process. We stayed in room 1 and there was some street noise but by 10 pm it was quiet. They provided a white noise machine just in case but we didn't need it. We would definitely stay again.

Great location & quiet. From the clean room, water/pop, snacks, sound machine & breakfast delivered right to the door - We enjoyed our stay and didn't want to leave. Adam was very friendly & knowledgeable about the area. The staff was just as nice! We would definitely stay here again if we make it back to Maine.

Spacious room with lots of great amenities. Easy to order breakfast, towels, soap, etc. and have delivered to room. Free bottled water, sodas, popcorn, & cookies in common area in each building. Two luggage stands in room, two sinks, and two sitting chairs. Free bus pickup close by. Definitely recommend.

Accoglienza ottima da parte del proprietario, che ci ha dato consigli utili per andare in centro a Bar Harbor con mezzi pubblici, gratuiti, che passano molto vicino al motel (sia andata che ritorno). Comodo il parcheggio davanti al proprio alloggio. Camera spaziosa e pulita, dotata di vari utili accessori (per esempio, macchina per fare il caffè). Sia in camera, che fuori, sotto il portico, ci sono un tavolo con due sedie, dove è comodo consumare la colazione. Infatti, la colazione, buona e abbondante, si ordina sul sito del motel e viene puntualmente consegnata, all'ora richiesta, davanti alla porta della camera. Il bagno è pulito, con finestra che dà sul retro del motel. La doccia funziona bene. La porta di entrata e le finestre hanno le zanzariere. Aria condizionata ottima e, se impostata al minimo, silenziosa. La zona, di notte, è tranquilla e quindi si dorme bene. Il letto è comodo. Insomma, io e mia moglie ci siamo trovati molto bene all' Highbrook Motel, dove abbiamo dormito 2 notti.

We loved the Highbrook Motel. Incredibly well maintained property with an attention to hospitality unlike most others It was close to Acadia, Bar Harbor downtown, and had shuttles available. Great amenities like water, popcorn, soda, coffee and hot chocolate. Very pleased with our stay.

We could order breakfast the night before and it would be delivered in the morning. Cookies and popcorn were offered to guests in the afternoon, as well as a variety of drinks. We loved our stay here! It's quiet, located close to Acadia and downtown. It has been updated in a retro decor that was suiting to the property. They have a nice refreshment area with beverages and popcorn, refill for Keurig, and cookies in the afternoon. Check-in is easy, they text you with lock code to your room. You order breakfast online, good choices and it's good! They deliver to your room on your requested time, it's awesome! We enjoyed breakfast in the sitting area in front of our room. You can also request additional towels via text, so easy!

My boyfriend and I stayed for the weekend recently and it’s hard to even call this place a Motel. when you think of one, the Highbrook Motel is certainly not what comes to mind. this place is CLEAAANN!! The room was HUGE too! King sized bed was amazing, sheets clean, they text you a link to request anything you need and don’t bother you otherwise. We didn’t meet much staff but Adam at the front desk was awesome! So friendly and helpful. Everything was complimentary with your stay which was amazing. and those chocolate chip cookies they have…. i may have gained a few pounds.

I was very pleased with my stay at Highbrook. It was super clean, quiet and comfortable. The room was large, and had a refrigerator. Breakfast was included (delivered), as were cold drinks. It's very close to Acadia National Park, and on the free shuttle route as well. The hotel's app provides great suggestions for things to do in the area. The service was top notch.

This was a very old Motel but so worth the stay. Probably the cleaniest place I have ever stayed and I am picky. THe bathroom was old but spotless. Popcorn and cookies at night that are complimentary. Very quiet but very close to town with in about 1/2 a mile. The staff were amazing bringing our breakfast every morning. Way better than having to get dressed to go up to a breakfast area. I love the table and chairs outside and it was so warm one morning we sit outside to eat our breafast. Loved Loved Loved this place. If we go back to Acadia it will be where we stay.

This property was very accessible to Bar Harbor and to Acadia National Park. It was clean, easy to communicate with staff, breakfast was included as well as a vast array of other snacks and drinks. Unlimited supply of linens, towels and paper supplies. Very knowledgeable about eating options as well as tours and other interesting and fascinating sites. Will definately recommend and definately return. Adam was amazing!

The location, specifically its proximity to both Acadia National Park and to Bar Harbor, make this an excellent choice for couples or solo travelers. Their breakfast, which is included, is always filling and allows for many great options to snack on during a full day of adventures. All the rooms come fully equipped with all of life’s modern day pleasures and whatever else you think you might need, the office probably has the rest. The office is manned for the better part of the day and they’re extremely helpful and knowledgeable if you have any questions or just want to know more from a local’s perspective. I can’t recommend this place enough.

I stayed here because of the ratings, the proximity to town (there's a nice sidewalk you can walk right into downtown Bar Harbor and the island hopper shuttle stops right outside the motel as well), and the great price. Highbrook Motel did not disappoint!! The hospitality was amazing and the wifi was great. My partner and I worked from "home" for a day during our stay and had very good, reliable internet. Every night, you can place an order an included breakfast which is then left outside your door during a specified time slot. My only complaint were the pillows which were all pretty thick and stiff. If you're coming to the area by car, maybe bring your own. Still, after long days being out and about, the pillows did not stop me from passing out cold at night. :) I'd definitely stay here again. The value/high ratings lived up to the hype.

Adam at front desk made us feel so welcomed. It is a motel but the nicest I've ever stayed. Small 1 sink bathroom but more than required for a couple. Breakfast served to your room which you you select the night before including what time you would like to be served. Close to the historic, shopping and the wharf. Very close to Acadia

We loved our three day stay at the Highbrook. There is a shuttle stop right across the street so you do not have to take a car into Bar Harbor where the parking is crazy. There is also a path that leads into town if you choose to walk. The room was comfortable and breakfast delivery was an added bonus with a decent selection including fresh fruit. The snacks and drinks available in the common area were nice to have available 24/7. I loved that we could order breakfast and clean linens via the app/website. Everything was delivered when promised and it was a seamless process. We stayed in room 1 and there was some street noise but by 10 pm it was quiet. They provided a white noise machine just in case but we didn't need it. We would definitely stay again.

What a wonderful experience. An "old school" motel type property with high tech interaction. The folks checked via text daily to see if you needed anything, and also to get your breakfast order, which was then dropped off outside your door at the time you requested. It far exceeded a typical continental breakfast, to include hot sandwiches, scones, yogurt, bagels and more. Free water bottles and cold beverages always available plus warm chocolate chip cookies every night. So many special touches, like privacy screens between the rooms on the porch so guests aren't walking in front of your room, table and chairs in front of each room, cool wooden screen doors....plus the family is super friendly and helpful. It felt like home.

Great small family run motel. Our room was very clean and had a super comfy bed. My only small small note worth mentioning is maybe since it was recently opened for the season I would have left some windows open a bit to air it out on the day of arrival. We found the SMS messaging service to be so convenient and easy. My husband and I would definitely stay here again, thanks Adam!

This property was very accessible to Bar Harbor and to Acadia National Park. It was clean, easy to communicate with staff, breakfast was included as well as a vast array of other snacks and drinks. I stayed here because of the ratings, the proximity to town (there's a nice sidewalk you can walk right into downtown Bar Harbor and the island hopper shuttle stops right outside the motel as well), and the great price. Highbrook Motel did not disappoint!! The hospitality was amazing and the wifi was great. My partner and I worked from "home" for a day during our stay and had very good, reliable internet. Every night, you can place an order an included breakfast which is then left outside your door during a specified time slot. My only complaint were the pillows which were all pretty thick and stiff. If you're coming to the area by car, maybe bring your own. Still, after long days being out and about, the pillows did not stop me from passing out cold at night. :) I'd definitely stay here again. The value/high ratings lived up to the hype.

I was very pleased with my stay at Highbrook. It was super clean, quiet and comfortable. The room was large, and had a refrigerator. Breakfast was included (delivered), as were cold drinks. It's very close to Acadia National Park, and on the free shuttle route as well. The hotel's app provides great suggestions for things to do in the area. The service was top notch.

The property is family owned and operated for 40 years! So fresh and clean and spacious. Friendly and responsive contact. Not in “heart of Bar Harbor” which is just fine—- no traffic etc. But very close , even walkable!! Less than a mile. Enjoy!!

It was a bit of a walk to down town, but the shuttle service was very dependable and located right across the street so very easy to access. We loved it and would highly recommend it. It was a great value for the price. The combination of the airbnb feel with the speedy response and amenities of a hotel were superb.

The property suited our needs. Although it was not in the heart of Bar Harbor, it was a pleasant 20 minute walk. We only used our car to drive up to Cadillac Mountain ($6 booking fee to guarantee a parking spot in the middle of summer!), as the free bus service stopped right out front of the hotel. We used the bus to to travel to the Village Green in downtown Bar Harbor, and also into the Acadia National Park to hike a few trails. We only walked after the awesome 4 July fireworks as the busses weren't running. The breakfast here was very good.

This is a fabulous property. The breakfast delivery and options were wonderful! The room was exceptionally clean and quiet. There was an area where you could get your ice, along with beverages,coffee and popcorn all included. We will definitely recommend this property to all our friends!!

I loved my stay and would highly recommend! I personally preferred having a place outside of the downtown Bar Harbor area, because there were sooo many people and traffic in town that it was easier to get to Acadia faster and peacefully without having to go through the town. In addition, the hotel was GREAT. Super clean and excellent service - the staff were extraordinarily responsive and helpful! I loved the hot cocoa and popcorn in the lobby at all times, and the oatmeal for breakfast was so yummy! This is a great place to stay in Bar Harbor.

I loved my stay and would highly recommend! The motel was just as seen on its website. Easy to park-in front of your room. Daily breakfast delivered outside your door, with a good selection to choose. We booked Highbrook totally taking a chance on the property and it paid off. Adam, the gentleman who is invisible but responds to texts in seconds (is a REAL person). The property: Conveniently located just outside Acadia National Park as well as downtown Bar Harbor. Rooms are spotlessly clean and all the amenities in the room where thoughtfully set up and in working condition. A bit dated, but am not complaining at all. Dont expect a view of the National Park or the water but then you are mostly in the room to sleep at night...rest of the time is spent outdoors - again this is not a complaint but something to set expectations. The best part about Highbrook is their 'supply room' - which is stocked amazingly well with attention to details and they do not charge a single extra $$ for this. Breakfast is wholesome - and delivered on time to the doorstep. You may have to go and heat it up. There is no room service, which they state upfront - but they send fresh towels and sheets, etc. on demand (dont expect it at midnight) - via a web based app. All in all - if you are looking for a quaint, quiet, considerate, clean, thoughtful, convenient, responsive, courteous and wonderful place that does not nickel and dime you - go ahead and book Highbrook!

Dont expect a view of the National Park or the water but then you are mostly in the room to sleep at night...rest of the time is spent outdoors - again this is not a complaint but something to set expectations. The best part about Highbrook is their 'supply room' - which is stocked amazingly well with attention to details and they do not charge a single extra $$ for this. Breakfast is wholesome - and delivered on time to the doorstep. You may have to go and heat it up. There is no room service, which they state upfront - but they send fresh towels and sheets, etc. on demand (dont expect it at midnight) - via a web based app. All in all - if you are looking for a quaint, quiet, considerate, clean, thoughtful, convenient, responsive, courteous and wonderful place that does not nickel and dime you - go ahead and book Highbrook!
