Charming! This pleasant inn reminded me of something in a Miss Marple novel. My room was clean and well-furnished. Staff was pleasant; there doesn’t seem to be often someone at the front desk, but my call to the duty phone was answered quickly. I didn’t take advantage of the free breakfast, but it looked and smelled great. My one complaint is the parking lot: the lines are so close together it was hard to park and then hard to open my car door. Overall: a lovely place and I'd stay there again.

It is obvious they have not fully recovered from the summer flood. The room was very spacious and the King bed comfortable. Bathroom adequate. Both bed side lamps did not work. No USB charging, no tech including hair dryer. When I approached staff with ice bucket asking for ice. I am as told ice machine is as broke due to flood in July and was not offered ice from theI bar/ restaurant. The complimentary continental breakfast included Milk, OJ, Cheerios, and wrapped non descript muffins. The room was way overpriced.

During my one night stay, we were pleasantly surprised with ample parking and ease of access to our room in August. We did notice a giant bug outside on the wall which made us feel uncomfortable and we made sure we didn't leave our things out or open. The breakfast was pretty basic. The French toast was dry and lacking batter mix. We decided to have some fruit and a muffin instead. Not sure if I would stay here again.

The Breakfast was very good. We enjoyed the Hotel but folks need to realize this is a Historic Building. It was a clean, comfortable room. There is a Pizza place in the property it was good for Supper the night we arrived.

Charm of a lovely VT inn within an easy walk to downtown Montpelier. Very clean. Would have been nice to have a place to sit and work in our room but did have a common space just outside it.

Overall, fine. Although it is an older property I believe there is room for improvement. The exterior needs a good pressure wash and some paint touch up. Our room was dusty and there were cobwebs in the bathroom. We found an open storage room and moved two luggage stands and two chairs into our room. No counter space in the bathroom so some sort of stand with shelves would be convenient. Close to downtown so you can walk everywhere.

Property was in a great location & the building looked awesome from the outside. Unfortunately it's in need of dire renovation. The floors creaked, the bed creaked & the room wasn't very clean. The included breakfast was sad - no juice, boiled eggs, mini quiche, muffics & sausages. We didn't have breakfast.

It was a mix. The daily cleaning was very well done. The longer term maintenance was not as good. Some of the plugs worked, others did not. The windows were dirty and two were broken. The upholstered furniture and the wooden furniture was scratched up. The continental breakfast was OK. The room was very quiet and the bed was comfortable

I would give it a 3 to 4 star based on the comfort of the room and the cleanliness of the bathroom. But the rugs need a really good cleaning in the sweets themselves and they need to be replaced completely in the hallway and checking area. I also thought that the check-in area, which is the first thing you see when you arrive was extremely dirty and unkempt. It's not the best first impression you get. To be honest I was very uncomfortable until we got to our room and saw how nice it was. If they just update the carpeting and give the hardwood floors a good cleaning it would improve this b&b beyomd measure

Charming Vermont Inn. Has everything you need and super convenient. Not gentrified like some areas of Vermont, so if you want all the bells and whistles, go to Stowe. But if you want to stay is a clean, classic setting for a reasonable price, this is a great choice

Wouldn’t recommend this place. There’s a pizza shop that seems to be the main business on the property. It was busy and noisy, hard to find parking. The inn business didn’t seem well run with no one at the desk. They had a mixup with my reservation which led to several confusing communications before I arrived. I wasn’t housed in the pictured inn but in a secondary building right off the road and main driveway into the property. Room was decent though in aging condition, not super clean, sheets didn’t fit on the bed and kept snapping off. Property was noisy with loud creaky doors slamming, kids running in the halls and parents shouting (not sure if these were other guests or staff family members). Cleaning staff left trash and personal possessions in the halls. Place felt safe and habitable but otherwise unimpressed with the service quality standard and value for money.

The staff is nice, the location is great and the continental breakfast was also good. The room was small and the bed not very comfortable. The pillows were old and flat and made it difficult to sleep. There are no curtains on the windows so even with the shades drawn light from the street shines through.

This was a lovely Inn located within walking distance of Montpelier's downtown historic buildings. The room we had was spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a continental breakfast. My only complaint would be the squeaky bed springs. The air brakes from trucks passing by during the night were loud, but we travel with ear plugs.

The inn is well located and easy to walk from. Staff is lean and not particularly gracious. Restaurant was closed the 2 days we were there. First room /bathroom were very small and in general room sizes are pretty inconsistent. We got a bigger room for the second night in the main building (yellow) . Much nicer and better decorated.

Very old property. Decor and furniture and fittings reflect this. Squeaky floors, no elevator, old windows. No AC. Could use a fresh coat of paint. Free breakfast just ok. Minimal offerings. The pizza restaurant attached was very good.

Due to flooding the heating for the building was not working properly. Our room was 80 degrees (with the window open and it was 30 degrees outside) the heat never turned off. The registers banged all night long making it impossible to sleep. We were told that the their heating system was destroyed this summer and the rooms don’t have separate heat for the rooms. I met a woman in the common area the next mooring that stated their room was freezing because of the same issue. So they put up the heat thinking that will flow to the other side of the building. It doesn’t. For $200 a night, I would expect proper heating. Don’t stay there, you will either be too hot or too cold. There is no staff to complain to at checkout.

Convenient and walkable to many stores and restaurants in Montpelier (and a very adequate restaurant on site). Room was across driveway in annex building and was a bit dull. Thermostat in room was non-functional and there was no staff readily on site to assist when we returned to our room after dinner (and found it too hot). Windows were sealed.

Beautiful historic building with antique furnishings. We had a large bedroom with a king sized bed. The room was clean and well appointed. The location was good as we could walk to the downtown restaurants. The reception was less than ideal. We surveyed both building before finding the checkin area that was unmanned. A sign indicated a phone number to call for service. The employee did come immediately but there was no greeting. She was helpful and gave us restaurant suggestions. Some signage might be helpful to let clients know where to checkin. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The management went out of their way to ensure my stay was the best! Even made sure I had a muffin at checkin as I couldn’t make breakfast the next day. I absolutely recommend

The inn business didn’t seem well run with no one at the desk. They had a mixup with my reservation which led to several confusing communications before I arrived. I wasn’t housed in the pictured inn but in a secondary building right off the road and main driveway into the property. Room was decent though in aging condition, not super clean, sheets didn’t fit on the bed and kept snapping off. Property was noisy with loud creaky doors slamming, kids running in the halls and parents shouting (not sure if these were other guests or staff family members). Cleaning staff left trash and personal possessions in the halls. Place felt safe and habitable but otherwise unimpressed with the service quality standard and value for money.

Beautiful property 5 mins walk from downtown Montpelier. The whole city was flooded in July 2023, but the Inn is open again and is also serving great pizzas.

Property was in a great location & the building looked awesome from the outside. Unfortunately it's in need of dire renovation. The floors creaked, the bed creaked & the room wasn't very clean. The included breakfast was sad - no juice, boiled eggs, mini quiche, muffics & sausages. We didn't have breakfast.

Very old property. Decor and furniture and fittings reflect this. Squeaky floors, no elevator, old windows. No AC. Could use a fresh coat of paint. Free breakfast just ok. Minimal offerings. The pizza restaurant attached was very good.

It is obvious they have not fully recovered from the summer flood. The room was very spacious and the King bed comfortable. Bathroom adequate. Both bed side lamps did not work. No USB charging, no tech including hair dryer. When I approached staff with ice bucket asking for ice. I am as told ice machine is as broke due to flood in July and was not offered ice from theI bar/ restaurant. The complimentary continental breakfast included Milk, OJ, Cheerios, and wrapped non descript muffins. The room was way overpriced.

Our room was clean, but VERY warm. Like a sauna!! The continental breakfast left a lot to be desired, the coffee was cold, even the hot water to make oatmeal was too cool. We ended up at McDonald’s.

Appreciate that this is an Inn so can’t expect too much, however we were two weary travellers and when we got there at 10pm (having pre contacted the Inn to tell them we would be late checking in) it would have been nice to have some bottled water in the room or some sort of tea:coffee making facilities. The TV didnt work because one of the plugs was broken and my husband had to spend 20 mins trying to fix it when we just wanted to chill. This is a massively expensive Inn considering you got absolutely nothing in the room. Continental breakfast was a massive disappointment too, after all that travelling the day before we had to go out and find breakfast. Saying all that- the two members of staff we dealt with were very helpful and nice and the room was clean and spacious. I would choose somewhere cheaper and further out of town next time unfortunately, unless you can improve the room contents and breakfast options (I dont expect a huge cooked breakfast but something more than a muffin and suspect bagel would be nice)

During my one night stay, we were pleasantly surprised with ample parking and ease of access to our room in August. We did notice a giant bug outside on the wall which made us feel uncomfortable and we made sure we didn't leave our things out or open. The breakfast was pretty basic. The French toast was dry and lacking batter mix. We decided to have some fruit and a muffin instead. Not sure if I would stay here again.

The Breakfast was very good. We enjoyed the Hotel but folks need to realize this is a Historic Building. It was a clean, comfortable room. There is a Pizza place in the property it was good for Supper the night we arrived.

Our stay at The Inn was just right for vacation travels to Maine. Kelly could not have been nicer and more informative in describing the city and places to visit. It was great having free parking right by our building. Breakfast was more than continental with hit items, too.

A nice traditional Vermont Inn close to the center of town. Well maintained and comfortable. Beautiful antiques and the rooms are large and unique. I stay here for business really regularly and I'm always satisfied. Also, a very nice breakfast in the morning.

A few things in the room weren't in working order (the bathroom door , vent, main lights, the AC) and there was a healthy large spider infestation in the room. The bed was firm to the side of painful and we wished we could sit out on the beautiful wrap around porch, but it was being repaired. But the hotel overall was very charming. The continental breakfast was decent and the staff were nice. They helped us open our door up when it locked from the inside. We didn't know how the older door worked and so they showed us after it locked .
