There is no storage for luggage! That’s horrible!

Well located for Euston station. Steep narrow stairway to basement apartment. No window so very stuffy. TV didn’t work - presumably because in basement and had no reception.

It is an old world style hotel. Shared bathroom. Well kept with a helpful attentive staff. Excellent for dormitory type travel. Classic charm. No elevator which is what you would expect for vintage accommodations. Walkable distance to many downtown London attractions and major transportation.

We didnt get the rooms we booked- we booked 2 x 2 queen rooms, we got 1 with a double and single and 1 with 3 singles, bot a major issue but not what we booked. It was a heatwave weekend, 1 of the rooms had a fan and the other didnt, it was incredibly warm! The other room id booked apparently the toilet smelled quite badly. Most importantly be asare you cant store luggage at yhis hotel, its the first hotel ive stayed at that doesnt allow this, we were fortunate enough to have a guy on reception that pet us leave our luggage on check in but we payed premier in. On our way back for storage

It’s London centre so don’t expect too much but certainly had some idiosyncratic things about it. They gave you two keys one was supposed to open the front door at night but during the day another door was closed but you didn’t have the key for that one so had to buzz in. shared bathroom and showers up and down stairs. but i wasn’t in london for the accommodation !

I didn’t see on the advertisement that the property has no storage space for luggage as I arrived early and needed storage space for luggage space whilst waiting for check in. Closest storage facility is opposite King Cross St Pancreas station £5 for a day. The person advised that no storage was stated on the advertisement. Overall great location and price.

Great for a cheap base, be aware you cant leave cases so you have to booknthem in somewhere

A good little hotel. Was very clean. Would not be suitable if you have trouble with stairs. Room small, good shower cubicle. In an area with restaurants and only a short walk to Russell Square Station.

Location is great, just a short walk to train/tube stations with lots of eateries and bars around. Do not book if you can't climb stairs, they are very narrow and high, or make sure you request a low floor. Also bear in mind that there is a £10 deposit for the key - this is fine however, reception isn't manned until after 7am so if you need to leave earlier than that, you'll have to figure out how to get your refund.

Welcomed nicely by the staff. The walkways throughout (including stairs) are very narrow. And there is no lift. Our room has an en-suite and the room had all the amenities you needed for a short stay. The bed was a little uncomfortable but done the job for one night close to KingsX. The bathroom was small but pleasant - the other negative was the shower curtain was quite stained and dirty.

I booked this hotel after being seduced by the photos on Expedia — you know, those dreamy shots of a clean, spacious room with soft lighting and minimalist charm. Fast forward to real life: I walked into what felt like a crime scene sponsored by mildew and disappointment. Let’s break it down: - Clean and spacious? Try dusty and cramped. I’ve seen storage lockers with better square footage and fewer health hazards. - That nice headboard area in the photo? In reality, featured mysterious stains and moldy splotches mere inches from where your face is supposed to rest. Cozy! - The shower? Looked like it had been through a natural disaster and was still recovering. - The carpets? So wrinkled and warped I nearly tripped and time-traveled. - And the cherry on top? Our window opened up to a construction site, complete with friendly workers who could probably tell you what color your pajamas are. It gets better. The receptionist told us our room was "just one floor up". What he really meant was three narrow, steep, elevator-less flights of stairs. With suitcases. By the time we reached the room, we were halfway to Everest Base Camp. We lasted less than 5 minutes before heading back to reception, politely asking for a refund. The receptionist looked at us like we were the problem and claimed, "No one has ever complained before." Spoiler: We checked Google reviews — oh, people have definitely complained. A lot. About the same things.

First room was a moldy room in the basement with neither electrical outlets nor connectivity. There were random bits of trash strewn around. After I complained, I was put in a better top floor room, except also with leftover towels from a previous guest in random places. Then, the day before I left, a sewage pipe appears to have burst on my floor, with what appeared to be feces-mixed water leaking down into a bucket that had been placed in the stairway below. This was not fixed, nor was it mentioned at all by the staff.

Theres were many issues with the cleanliness so we couldnt stay there

Terrible experience. Check in was easy enough although the reception area was very dirty and had a bed in it, I think the staff sleep there during the night. Upon arrival in my room I struggled to get the door locked and as a single traveler felt uneasy all night that someone would just walk in, found the room to be very dirty, I didn't dare use the shower as I would have come out of it dirtier than I went in. Lots of hairs and mold on the floor and walls, toilet hadn't been cleaned since previous guest with feces marks in the bowl. Bed very squeaky and uncomfortable with springs poking out and only a sheet and a throw on it, I was freezing all night due to drafty window and lack of bedding. Giving up on sleep at 6am due to the uncomfortable bed I decided to leave the hotel and find a early cafe or something to sit in comfortably and even though I struggled to lock the door the previous night, the struggle to unlock my next door the next morning was almost panic inducing, I called reception a number of times to report I was locked in my room but no answer, eventually managed to force the lock open with considerable force and left a note on the reception desk advising this as no one was there. Guests in other rooms could be heard as if they were in my room, very bad nights sleep. Honestly wouldn't come back here if I was paid to, I will pay the extra £50 to stay in a Premier Inn or Travelodge next time.

Old bed, dirty room, small bathroom and the t.v doesn’t even work.

Room itself was clean and basic. Nowhere to store clothes.Shared shower was dirty. Ok for one night but would not like to stay longer. Expensive for what it was

Rude frontdesk, mold in the bathroom, unclean sheets, bed bugs.

The room was super small, me and my friend didn’t feel very safe, the shower leaked and the whole bathroom floor was soaked so we had to use one of our 2 towels on the floor - meaning we had to share a towel, the shower curtain had mould around the bottom of it, there were stain all over the walls. Behind that, it was a good nights sleep, somewhere to crash after a work do as we couldn’t get home, would’ve appreciated a duvet and not just a sheet and a blanket. The whole experience/ stay was such a laugh because you honestly just have to laugh it off but I can’t stay we would stay again.

Ok hotel and value for money in London. Everything clean. Good nights sleep

Great location for Euston, Kings Cross and Russell ... No rooms with 2 double beds - Hotels.com should not indicate available when not an option (even though pictures give impression it is). Did try messaging before stay but no reply. No net curtains on ground floor room where windows at street level so have to keep dark curtains closed with lights on at all times. Old sash style windows single glazed and not soundproofed or insulated, thankfully had wall radiator but that doesn't help the sound you hear from the nearby pubs/bars or people stood outside hotel. Raised (not mentioned for those with mobility issues) wet room ensuite cubicle door did not stay shut unless locked from inside & door footplate was loose with screw sticking up! Rooms do NOT have a hairdryer as booking indicated there was - there is 1 hair dryer for ALL 27 rooms. Only 1 thin towel per person, no hand towel or wet room floor towel so you step out into room with wet feet! (Thankfully had 4 towels as room was for 4 even though only 2 of us). No housekeeping for duration of stay. TV only had BBC stations. Doors are not designed to close quietly - our room had front door & entry corridor one side & entry corridor to other rooms and floors on another. Front door, corridor doors (our room was sandwiched between two), & other room doors banged constantly throughout the evening & in to early hours. Two double drains on road just outside so constant dumdum dumdum - road closure saved us after day 1. Regula

Mattress so old could feel every spring from the mattress digging in. Absolutely no support, barely slept and now have a back injury. It should be illegal to have such poor quality furniture and expect customers to sleep on it.

Room was tiny. Very outdated and felt dirty. Could feel springs in bed. Very hot and no fan. Had to open the window all night and was very noisy outside until about 3am. Needed to be up at 4:45.

Can’t complain for the price really, but the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable and the shower was angled awkwardly so had to hold it in a specific spot at all times. Water was also very hard to get to the right temp. Neighboring rooms were also very loud Decent stay overall but probably wouldn’t recommend for any more than one night

Very small room. There was no place to lay the suitcases and open those to take the stuff out. The room was on 3rd floor and there was no lift. The pics of the room shown on the website don't match at all the actual room that I got. The wifi stopped working from 10 pm the day I checked in and was not working until the next day when I checked out . Terrible experience.

I have to say that the guy on the front-desk was helpful...he gave me a 'twin' instead of a single, so that was nice of him. Even so, the room was SO basic and small. One of the panes of glass was boarded up. The window were screwed shut and inside was over 30 degrees at night, impossible to sleep given the heat in London and no fresh air There was a 4 cm gap under the door, so an absolute fire hazard. No lock on the door. The room was sloping, the mattress v v thin and overall, so loud and uncomfortable in the room, that I would have done better to walk the streets and sit in bars tbh. Location is good for St Pancras/Eurostar.

Overall, the stay was fine for the price, and it served its purpose as I needed to be up early to catch a train. That said, the room was extremely small — there wasn’t enough space for my luggage, so I had to leave it on the bed. The walls were very thin, and I could hear other guests walking past my door with suitcases and talking. The narrow corridor meant they often knocked into the walls, which added to the noise. The room included a sink and a kettle with a generous supply of tea and coffee, which was a nice touch. The bed was comfortable, but instead of a duvet, there was a heavy, fluffy blanket — not ideal for summer and not the most hygienic. The pillows were also quite firm - a softer one would have also been nice. In summary, it’s a decent option for a budget stay, but don’t expect a quiet night’s sleep.

Really friendly staff, easy check in, perfect location. Room was clean and bed comfy. Fan in room was much appreciated. Windows could do with updating- v busy road and a lot of traffic noise all night. Also other residents were banging/ shouting throughout the night which I appreciate is difficult to police. All in all was exactly what we needed and was great for one night but was not a good night’s sleep.

Could not get into hotel at first. Rooms smaller than pictured. Walls very thin. Noisy outside throughout the night. Bed lumpy. However, room was clean and most essentials were provided.

We booked a room that had a shared bath and there was no toilet in the bathroom. Also, each room has a furnace, but our furnace did not work so we had to sleep with our jackets on. When we departed, no one was at the office to give us our deposit back that we had to put down for our key. It took us 10 minutes to figure out how to reach someone because the phone number listed on. Their website is incorrect.

The room was ok, shower was hot, however the gentleman on reception was extremely rude

The property was the rudest human alive. I walked in and daid i was here to check in. He actually called me crazy. And kicked me out until it was time to check in. He was refusing my card payment and wanted cash only. Telling me the rooms i booked were not available anymore. 30 mins of trying to hussle me i finally got into my room. The room was SMALL, COVERED IN MOLD. The bathroom was not even big enougj for a shower there was no shower curtain..... i could write a novel of why to never stay.

Our room was freshly painted and bathroom very tight, but not bad for a quick overnight stay! The manager/owner of the property did us the big favor of holding our luggage for a few hours after check-out. The area is great! Lots of great and cozy restaurants and bars, including a small but cool shopping area near by. Lastly, my wife left her Apple watch in the room and great to know it was kept safe with manager/owner. We appreciate the excellent customer service!

The night staff was extremely helpful. The very best helped out with a number of issues. Extremely friendly and welcoming. HOWEVER The day staff is needs lessons on customer service. Had an emergency check-in and the room did not have towels. Previous day I had a regular towel bath towel and washcloth. Had to argue with the front desk person even though I had a double room to get an extra towel. Left a bad taste in my mouth. Fortunately the night staff made up for this poor customer service by the day shift.

Terrible. Rooms were nothing like advertised in pictures - tiny, basic. Room was not cleaned on second day, but somebody came into room and stole money and bank cards from my sons wallet, and my daughters jewelry. We moved out after staying only one night. Would like a refund.

I never got to sleep in the room since they lied to me about letting me check in a few minutes (15) late due to the late artival of my flight. Instead I was left standing on the street with my luggage and no place to go. I highly caution anyone contemplating this hotel to avoid it at all costs.

The hotel let us check on early. The people were polite and helpful, the room was clean. I normally get a bad back when I am in a different bed than my own but this bed was really comfortable and there was no noise so I slept incredibly well. Will book again when i return to London

Honestly the room was fine enough for what you are expecting, near the station in central London. Bathroom was passable but don’t expect a nice shower or dry bathroom. However the manager in charge during the day was enough to make us want to turn around and leave again. He was unfriendly when we were checking in and then plain rude when we asked about the key deposit. So do be aware there is a £10 key deposit which he said was refundable and assured us someone would be at reception when we left early in the morning to return it. Of course no one was. The saving grace was the night manager who was approachable and friendly both times we met him. We were very suspicious of the other man so confirmed with him whether someone would be at the reception early the next day to give our deposit back and he said “no sorry no one is here that early”. He then organised the return of our deposit and made sure everything else was okay which was great. The only redeeming quality of this place, but honestly, pick any of the other hotels along this street to avoid that rude manager, obviously does not enjoy his job and takes it out on his staff and guests.

The owner at the reception was very rude. He was not ready to hold the bag for an hour. I reached an hour early hoping to keep the bag with them. Instead of saying a simple no or a humble sorry he said "you should have not even come here before 2 pm". I decided to not even show up again and rather stay at a much humble place. Kindness and good words doesnt cost anything but some people are just arrogant for no reason.

It was fairly simple, but given the price—and the fact that it was in central London, within walking distance of Euston, a tube station, and my work conference—I really can’t fault it. It was clean and felt safe.

It’s very central and close the Russell Square station making it the perfect place to stay for a short trip. The room is clean and spacious and staff is friendly

Ideal location as it’s so close to Euston station and plenty of cafes and convience stores nearby. The check-in and check-out process was fine and the staff were helpful, efficient and friendly. The room could have done with another clean though.

This is a 2* Hotel so dont expect miracles. Very basic bed in a room with a TV. Small wetroom too. I rate it 4/5 cos it delivered what I wanted. A cheap friendly place to stay for a night in London. Yes you can find faults but if you looking for faults when youve chosen to book a 2* Hotel, you need to look hard at yourself. Staff were very friendly and walking 10 mins from Euston Station and about 15 mins to Oxford Street Shops its a great location. Again its a 2* Hotel so it delivers you 2* I would definitely use again.

Near tube station so was easy to get to gig venue and back. And to and from Waterloo

I would not recommend this hotel. The room was extremely small, with dirty curtains and a mattress where you could feel every spring—definitely not comfortable. There was no storage space for clothes, and the shower was dirty as well. The tap in the shower barely worked: either scalding hot or freezing cold, with no in-between and very poor water pressure. Another major inconvenience was that you can’t leave your luggage at the hotel if you arrive before check-in or need to check out early. When I asked the man at the reception if I could leave my suitcase for a while, I was met with a dumbfounded look and the response: “Does it look like I have space for that?”—instead of simply and politely saying there was no room available. Very unprofessional and unwelcoming. The walls are paper-thin—you can hear everything from the neighboring rooms, which makes it very hard to get a good night’s sleep. The floor in our room was uneven to the point where you could literally trip getting out of bed. Although breakfast was supposedly included, no explanation was given about where or when it was served. There was also mention of a hairdryer being available, but I certainly didn’t see one in the room. On top of all that, the photos of the rooms online are very misleading—they do not reflect the reality at all. In my opinion, the value for money was extremely poor. I paid far too much for what this place is actually worth. Only positive thing: located close to King’s Cross & Metro.
