We chose this hotel based off of the slide at the pool. When we arrived Wednesday afternoon the desk clerk told us that due to short staff the slide was closed. I asked if it would be operating Thursday and he said yes. Thursday morning we went to the pool to find the slide was still not operating. I told the clerk that the reason we booked that hotel was for the slide and she stated another family had come for the same reason and there was no staff to operate it so she would come operate it for a short time and would call our room when she was ready. We waited in our room for a short time before deciding just to go to the pool and swim until the slide was operating. When we arrived at the pool she was already there operating the slide and had not called us. She operated the slide for about a half hour before her manager told her to stop and come back to the desk. Shortly after I noticed that the hours of operation sign for the slide had been duct taped over and had hand written that it was now closed from Monday through Thursday. As we left the pool the sign at the door was also taped over with hand writing stated the slide hours were now just the weekend. The hotel itself is old and ran down and not up kept like it should be. We requested to be moved from our original room due to it not being cleaned only to be moved to another room that was equally dirty. We had booked the hotel for 2 nights but chose to leave after one night.

The room itself was fair. But the reason we stayed was for the water park and it was not worth what we paid. Unfortunately the hotel was extremely understaffed leaving the water park unattended. It was filthy. The bathrooms were disgusting- no toilet paper, poop and urine in every stall. Toilet paper stuck to the soaking wet floor. The men’s bathroom was closed all together. The hot tub was also shut down and we were not aware of this when we booked. Had I known there would be yellow caution tape everywhere, I would not have chosen this hotel. There were also so many children left unsupervised with no staff to monitor rules- kids were going down the water slide 10+ at a time. Jumping in head first without even paying attention. My smaller kids could not even swim. Very disappointing and a waste of money.

The pool was great but the got tub was out of order. The breakfast was below average. The beds were comfy, the AC worked great. The staff was extremely friendly, location was nice. A great kids park less than 10 minutes away. Its worth checking out

Indoor waterpark/pool area was clean & easily accessible, ample seating & pool towels provided. Pool itself doesn’t open until 9a but the water slide is closed until 4p most days which we didn’t know so my son was a little sad about that because timing didn’t work out. No issues with the room itself, it was clean. Tub faucet was weird to figure out at first but water was a good temp and pressure was good once it was on. Ice machine was out of order. Overall wasn’t terrible for the price.

Room furniture is very worn and damaged, carpet stains and not very well upkept, we also stayed here in June and had the same experience, we were hoping it was an off experience and this time would be different, house keeping did not come once in our 4 night stay, had to ask for towels 2x. hotel is overrun by “guests” who book 1 room and then bring 5-10 outside guests to the waterpark and unapologetically flush out paying guests. Was told by staff that the pool had no heat because it was a fire hazard to have a heat source in a pool area because of the pumps, our 2 children were chattering from the extreme cold in the pool area. Unfortunately we will not be coming back to stay here on our trips to the KC metro area.

The room was super dirty, stains on the bed spread, mattess and all the furniture was super damaged, the fridge was stuck shut with something sticky, the toilet didnt flush correctly. There was damage the the drywall and the shower had very little water pressure.

We stayed here 2 years ago but it has really went downhill since then. The pool area is still nice but the hallways smell which permeates into the room. New carpet in the hallways and rooms would do wonders! The room itself seemed clean other than the awful musty smell.

This place is disgusting. We were first put into room 111. When we walked in, there was a very strong odor of cleaner and the carpets were very wet. We found a note from maintenance that stated they cleaned the air conditioner and carpet and to request a UV light to make sure everything was killed. We couldn’t stay because of the smell. They moved us to room 119. The kids found what looks like feces on the curtains. I went back to the front desk and said the only other room they had on first floor was 101. We didn’t need first floor, but they were trying not to send anyone upstairs because the elevator was broken. I went into 101 and found blood on the curtains. We checked out and went to a different hotel. Since then, hotels.com has reached out 4 times and the management refuses to respond regarding a refund. We have reached out to corporate and they say they can’t do anything to help except contact the manager. I attempted to call the manager myself but he won’t return calls. Please do not stay here. This place should be shut down for bodily fluids in the rooms.

I’m not certain our room was even cleaned. There was a drawer full of other people’s belongings. When we open up the couch the mattress protector was dirty and even included a dirty, used comb. The room itself felt gross. I didn’t go bare foot at all. Be ready to hear the people above you walking all night too. The pool area was fun for the kids though.

Second time staying here, because my kids really love the Waterpark. Not sure if I’ll go back because the first time I went the extra tickets for the Waterpark was $10 now it’s $20. It’s nice but way too small to charge $20, $10 was pushing it. Plus the room I stayed in 207 had bed bugs and it was time for a new couch bed. We stayed for a weekend vacation with our grandkids. The lobby of the hotel is clean, very nice.. however that is the extent of the cleanliness. Once you check into your room, all of it goes downhill QUICKLY! We stayed in Room 109 on the first floor, once we walked into the room we immediately noticed a stench of musty smell.. upon further inspection we noticed the carpet in the room was (crunchy) all throughout the entire room. The wooden panels on the dresser, refrigerator stand all the wood had been torn off. There was a coffee maker in the room that was disgusting! Down the whole back of the wall where the coffee maker sets, there is coffee stains all down the wall where you can see coffee/liquids have been just allowed to run down the wall and NEVER wiped clean! Upon our 2nd day being there we stopped at the front desk to request the room be cleaned (clerk had us fill out a service request) We did so! When we came back 4 hours later the only thing that had been done in the room was they made the beds, emptied the trashcan under the desk. The floor still had crumbs, and was disgusting! The floor was NEVER VACUUMED OUR ENTIRE STAY!! The toilet would randomly just start (running) with nobody even in the bathroom! It ran all night long. The waterpark is a (free for all) the slide was only open on Friday night. It is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!! Gets completely packed & only 1staff for over 20-30 kids and adults. Horrendous Experience! Dirty rooms

The first room we were in was filthy. There was dried bloody snot on the comforter, the TV didn’t work, there was trash and dust bunnies under the edge of the bed and in the drawers. The phone cord would not stay connected to the phone without holding it in. The pool was filthy with hair and even a bandaid. The hot tub had so much chlorine it made our skin burn. They moved us to another room which was slightly cleaner, but we found a previous guests’ dirty socks under the bed. Overall, the staff was friendly, but the hotel was run down and dirty. We will not be returning.

Too small of “water park” for amount of people that were staying. Sheets were dirty with crumbs from previous stayers. Mattresses need replaced. Barely slept all night bc they were so old could feel the springs in my back and when I finally got to sleep and woke up my back hurt so bad. 5/10

The kids loved the little water park. That was the reason we chose this hotel, so that delivered. The hotel is older, but is maintained. The breakfast is the same every day (eggs, sausage, waffles, toast, biscuits you can microwave and gravy, so if you're staying for multiple days, you might consider other breakfast options some days. Probably my biggest concerns were the Wi-Fi (did not work at all well on 3rd floor, although it was ok on ground level) and the TV channels were limited, with no kids' channels. The staff are VERY nice and accommodating - really good people working there.

Lots of lunch and dinner options less than a mile away. Price for room was spot on. Wish there was secondary curtains in the room to block out a bit more light, parking lot lights are bright (i like a dark room), room was comfy and cool.

Room furniture is very worn and damaged, carpet stains and not very well upkept, we also stayed here in June and had the same experience, we were hoping it was an off experience and this time would be different, house keeping did not come once in our 4 night stay, had to ask for towels 2x. hotel is overrun by “guests” who book 1 room and then bring 5-10 outside guests to the waterpark and unapologetically flush out paying guests. Was told by staff that the pool had no heat because it was a fire hazard to have a heat source in a pool area because of the pumps, our 2 children were chattering from the extreme cold in the pool area. Unfortunately we will not be coming back to stay here on our trips to the KC metro area.

Staff was excellent. They were courteous and very helpful. Check-in was quick and easy. Breakfast was great. I didn’t give a 5-star because the carpet had ?red? stains, there was a crack in the sink bowl and no access to Netflix/Prime without using my phone’s hotspot. The toilet would spontaneously run throughout our stay, there were no towels in the swimming area but the water temperature in the pool was perfect and my kiddos enjoyed the slides.

This was absolutely terrible! We stayed 2 nights. On the first night, we found mold in the ice bucket. The tv also did not work. We called the front desk 3 times and they did not answer the phone. I walked to the desk to find help and no one was available to help us. The mattress was terrible. We had a suite and the couch was worn out. On day 2 we asked for clean sheets (ours had a weird smell) and to get the tv fixed since no one answered us the night before. The guy at the desk said they had been having problems out of that tv for several weeks and asked if it was "really that important?" For $265 a night, it is absolutely that important. Every amenity that we pay for is important. He then informed me that he didn't have enough help and couldnt get anyone to change my bed but he would give me the sheets to change myself. The room was in poor shape. Staff not at all accommodating. It was not even sanitary. I would never stay there again. Things mess up. People have bad days. They didn't even try!

We booked two rooms thinking the be adjoining and they were not. Both located on two separate floors on opposite ends of the building. Got to the third floor and air was out in the hallway, got in and the air conditioner was squealing. Maintenance came it stopped. It started again that night and I decided to cancel my request because my children were already sleeping. I got no sleep with the air squealing like that. The elevator was down off and on and then officially off the next morning. Staff was dismissive. Extra pillows and blankets were scarce. I won’t be returning to this establishment simply because management refused to discount or refund at least one of the two rooms. Shame on you all for running such poor customer service. All of these things wouldn’t have added up to much had the staff been better at taking care of the customer. 100%

The guy in the dining room was extremely nice -- seemingly trying to pick me up...I was not interested and just said I had a headache (I did. It was early in the morning... then the next morning he was weirdly angry and silently mouthed F*U to me on the second and third day. The lady at the front desk was SOOOOO nice she offered a foldup bed when I told her my kids (10 and 7) were not liking sleeping in the same bed. She was a life saver. Other than the weird strange awkward behavior of the breakfast guy...it was a fun friendly hotel.

The pool was great but the got tub was out of order. The breakfast was below average. The beds were comfy, the AC worked great. The staff was extremely friendly, location was nice. A great kids park less than 10 minutes away. Its worth checking out

We actually booked this specifically because of the water park. It definitely worked out exactly as planned. There was a perfect amount of fun for our 3 and 6 yr. old. Being 23 minutes from Union Station wasn't our favorite part, but it was easy to find and isn't in a super busy area which is nice.

This will be our stopping place for when we travel! It was easy to get to from the interstate. It was clean, comfortable and the swimming area was awesome! The breakfast was also good and there were many items to choose from. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating.

Pool was closed down due to phone not working?? I am supposed to get a credit of $20 per night for inconvenience, if that happens I will be satisfied. I was really looking forward to the hot tub after a long drive. Also the TV didn't, switched rooms it worked but no guide which made it difficult. The breakfast was exactly the same as well, no egg or meat variation from day to day. I would say it was in a nice area close to a lot of shopping and food establishments. Easy access to interstate as well

I liked the indoor pool and the breakfast. But we had to wait for our room to be ready because they had a lot of guest this weekend is what I was told. There were no towels in the pool area. The breakfast was okay but the sausage patties didn’t taste done. The waffle area was a mess. I only saw one trash can I was trying to help the lady that works there clean up a little.

The hotel is convenient to the highway and my daughter loved her time at the pool (slide hours do NOT include mornings, a bummer). The room left a lot to be desired, extremely Slow draining sink, tv didn’t turn on, and the pullout couch had sheets but no pillows or blankets provided (surprisingly comfortable mattress though!). Morning breakfast options were pretty basic and there was no rotation (eggs and sausage, biscuits/gravy, waffle station, Two types of cold cereal, instant oatmeal, navel oranges) for the duration of our stay.

A good basic stay in the area we needed to be near. We didn't use the Waterpark but it would be fun for families. Had to report the sink would drain very slowly. On the plus side, the breakfast had bacon!

They are doing some updates to the lobby, hotel was as clean as it could be for having 8-12 inches of snow dumped on the area. Bed was a bit soft, tv was a bit clunky to operate, breakfast was not good. You would be better off spending $8 at Mcdonalds.

Pros: Our kids (7 and 5) loved the waterpark. The clerk at the front with the Stitch hoodie was so sweet and friendly. Free breakfast was suitable. Great value for the price. Cons: The bathroom didn’t have a working fan and the whole room was so humid. Our towels didn’t dry in the slightest after 24 hours and no one changed them out during our 2-night stay even though we were out of the room all day. Next time I’ll bring my own towels or take a big stack from the pool area. Guy tending to the pool (full of children) wearing a shirt with the F word on it was a bit unusual lol. My kids didn’t notice him though.

There was noticeable damage and poor maintenance throughout our room. Wall corners had chunks missing, paint was chipped, drawers would not stay closed, and much of the furniture was heavily damaged—some honestly looked like it had been chewed by a dog. The bathroom vent was caked with dirt, and the narrow walk-around-corner shower was extremely claustrophobic. The advertised “waterpark” was also disappointing compared with the photos, which appear to use wide-angle photography to make it look much larger. More concerning was the cleanliness. We saw bugs, hair, hair ties, and even Band-Aids in the water. The pool restrooms had broken stall locks and smelled strongly like a portable toilet. We let the kids play in the children's area briefly but became uncomfortable with the cleanliness and moved to the waterslide, which they did enjoy. The staff were pleasant and polite, despite dealing with several unruly children whose parents were clearly not supervising them. Overall, the property has potential, but it desperately needs better cleaning, maintenance, and upkeep. Unfortunately, the condition of the room and pool facilities would prevent us from booking here again.

The Staff is the only reason i am giving 3 stars. We were staying for the pool and 3min after getting in we had to get out because to much chlorine. "Maintance" never came into fix so no pool, which was part of our reason for booking this property. They said we would be compensated, but never were. Also had to change rooms after our shower didn't work in our original room.

We stayed Saturday night after my uncles funeral so we could play in the pool Saturday night and Sunday morning and the pool was closed that whole time. So we stayed an extra night for no reason.
