Absolutely beautiful room, lovely and warm especially after arriving cold from our motorcycle journey. Interior design was well thought, well stocked fridge with complimentary lager.sat on the roof terrace on Halloween listening to the owls in the woods , breakfast was great with a good choice, will definitely be back

Connor in his shed was particularly welcoming and thoughtful, we especially loved the private garden. Although a single night the Masons will remain a highlight of our trip to the UK.

Cute little village and the room was beautiful and roomy. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the service friendly and welcoming. The parking lot is a tight squeeze but it worked out. We will definitely return as we don’t have too much time to really check out the town.

Everything excellent. Beautiful, comfy, spacious accommodation, with a lovely patio outside room. Staff ALL very friendly and helpful. Food excellent (dinner & breakfast). Pretty, peaceful location with nice walks. Could not fault. Highly recommend.

Stunning room with fantastic pub. So peaceful. Wonderful facilities including a daily hamper which really make it special! Nothing else in immediate area so need to walk or drive out. Pebble beaches this side of Devon.

We had a lovely stay at The Mason's Arms. The staff are just lovely. Our room was quite compact, but had everything you need. Very comfy beds. The location is good for an easy walk to the beach. Parking can be difficult, as its a popular place for food and drink, and we did visit on a bank holiday. But we had a lovely weekend stay.

We stayed at the Branscombe Arms in late October. The accommodation was gorgeous and the food delicious. Do book a dinner reservation, as there is no other option in the village itself. It has on-site parking and is in a great location, only a 10 minute walk from the beach and walking tracks. I would highly recommend it!

Really helpful staff. My wife left her AirPods in the bedroom and the hotel found them after we left and arranged for them to be posted back to us. From a moment of despair to a moment of elation knowing that the hotel had gone out of their way to help us. Good food, a very clean bedroom and bathroom, plenty of parking spaces, good village and a pretty beach nearby. Thank you for looking after us.

The staff and the food was excellent . Exceeded expectations and the location is lovely . Unfortunately the room was a real disappointment in that it was dark with one little window . The lighting was orange/warm lights that made the situation worse and hard dark furniture/ walls . Also not well kept as ceiling damaged and looked a mess. Bathroom was beautiful and bright. Quite the opposite of the roo. Which I found depressing . Such a shame as staff food,location spot on but with room we were given I wouldn’t go back

The service at this hotel deserves one star only, but the rooms are pleasant enough except for the horrible drain smell. Thankfully they provide a scented room spray. Unfortunately what they don’t provide is positive service. I booked a room with bed and sofa bed for myself and two children, who spent a couple of nights with friends, and the last night at the hotel. When I asked the hotel to please make up the sofa bed for that night they had the temerity to respond that it would be impossible as *they had no sheets left*. I can’t even imagine a hotek so poorly run they could ever manage to give such an excuse. When at check out I asked if they could hold my bags, the response was “‘Mam, this is a 14th Century hotel - it wasn’t built with a luggage room.” It was also not built with showers, but somehow they managed. When I called the manager to address these issues, in addition to the dirty dishes stacked in the cupboard of the kitchenette, there was zero accountability taken, zero apologies - just blame shifting and being told no one had ever complained before. If you would like to be treated poorly by staff at all levels, not given the value for money spent, and spend the night smelling the drain from the bathroom by all means book this hotel.

We had a very clean room , but , being a person needing an accessible room and facilities to have to walk up a slope or 6 steps and the across to the far corner of the car park to find our very nice accessible room was hard work and detracted from the old world ambience of this lovely Pub /Hotel. The Staff did for warn us of the steps at the time of booking. There was no Dedicated Parking bay for disabled patrons any where near the Accessible room that we were allocated. If at all ! We enjoyed the menu and all the staff were very attentive to our needs and most welcoming. We enjoyed our stay despite the above but with a little more consideration in design from Management on the issues raised above this could have been a brilliant experience.

Great night in a lovely hotel. Room was amazing. Spacious, vintage decor, large bathroom, very comfortable large bed and great view. Service was excellent from a very friendly team. Food was great and the location was beautiful. Not something I say often but it was outstanding. Definitely want to go back.

Stayed for two nights ,lovely pub with good food ,can be very busy with limited seating if raining. We booked a room advertised as a standard double room,however the room was not a standard size it was extremely small and very hot,I dread to think what it would be like in hot weather.

Charming little pub stay good beer and food and in a lovely area close to beach and lovely village and challenging coastal and cliff walks. Our only complaint is that our room 25 was almost unbearably hot at night even with the Dyson fan going all night. Not sure if all rooms are as hot but understand that they all have the fans!? Will likely return in the hope that another room is cooler!?

Excellent Quadruple room above the bar. The Village and hotel look exquisite! Both evening meal and breakast were wonderful. Only two issues. The room is rather dark with no bright light near a mirror. Some noisy music from below in the evening and morning, I think while closing and opening up the bar. When paying the rates for this stay, I would not expect these minor issues.

Staff were all incredible and their personalities shone through in the service they provided. This helped to make it a very unique, personal experience that's rare from a hotel. The building and location are beautiful. Food was excellent. Great attention to detail from the customer service through to the rooms and home comforts. I would 100% return and recommend.

Everything from check in, dinner, the surroundings and my room were perfect. The breakfast experience in my opinion was poor. The staff member was rushed and lacked customer service. She was on her own so maybe needed a helping hand and a little extra training. Other than that the experience was a 10/10

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome by all of the staff. A huge thanks to Connar who couldnt do enough for us. Gorgeous place to stay. Spacious room ( room25). Food was delicious and good sized portions. Great place to stay and 15 min walk to the beach.

Staff were pleasant but very slow in everything they did. It wasn't even busy. Check in was good. Room was a dream. Evening meal was good. Breakfast was nothing to write home about. I had Eggs Benedict. Nothing special Check out was efficient. It was a good stop on my way through walking. I probably wouldn't choose to go stay there.

Really helpful staff. My wife left her AirPods in the bedroom and the hotel found them after we left and arranged for them to be posted back to us. From a moment of despair to a moment of elation knowing that the hotel had gone out of their way to help us. Good food, a very clean bedroom and bathroom, plenty of parking spaces, good village and a pretty beach nearby. Thank you for looking after us.

Delightful and quaint hotel in a beautiful little village. It’s close to the coastal path and beach and you can load up on a delicious breakfast before heading out to explore. Friendly and super helpful staff top it off.

I loved this Inn. It was isolated but the pub was still lively until 9:00 p.m. and then it closed for the night. The restaurant serves excellent food. The staff is friendly and helpful. The environs of Branscombe cannot be beat for a restful, stunning location, very near nice pebble beaches. I plan to go back!

A really cosy and lovely traditional old inn with mod cons and a great atmosphere in a beautiful location great for long walks in the countryside and by the sea. Helpful friendly staff, very comfortable, cosy rooms, parking and a very good restaurant. Recommended.

We stayed at the Branscombe Arms in late October. The accommodation was gorgeous and the food delicious. Do book a dinner reservation, as there is no other option in the village itself. It has on-site parking and is in a great location, only a 10 minute walk from the beach and walking tracks. I would highly recommend it!

Would have given a five star rating if the food was better organised. The food was excellent but the main dinner menu was missing several options, as they had run out. There was little available for non red meat eaters. Also the excellent waitress had to inform each group of diners what was not available. This took some time. Maybe the changes could have been included on a revamped menu. Accommodation was good but the external lighting needs some attention. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Great night in a lovely hotel. Room was amazing. Spacious, vintage decor, large bathroom, very comfortable large bed and great view. Service was excellent from a very friendly team. Food was great and the location was beautiful. Not something I say often but it was outstanding. Definitely want to go back.

The property is in the middle of nowhere but beautiful and maintained very well. We could not make it to dinner on time and so the kitchen closed a little too early. It was very inconvenient because to grab a bite literally had to drive about half hour away. So be on time to dinner. Breakfast was absolutely wonderful and the chefs creations were scrumptious.

The room was beautiful with extra little touches that we didn’t expect, The food in the restaurant was extremely good both for dinner and breakfast. The only negative was how full the car park gets but for me that shows how successful the business is. Well done Masons Arms!!!!

Another fantastic stay here, 2nd time we've visited. The pub and restaurant are excellent, the best scotch egg I've ever had! Beautiful surroundings for country walks The staff were very friendly and helpful We've recommended this place to friends and family

Check in speedy & shown straight to room which although cosy was well equipped & very clean, staff all ready friendly & welcoming. Breakfast choice excellent. Although evening meal was well cooked & good plate size, we thought that the menu was fixed & rather limited, there were no specials offered. Would struggle to eat there for more than a couple of nights.

We had a very good stay at the Masons arms the room was very clean and the staff excellent from start to finish. It was a very friendly business and the parking was a little hit and miss but on the whole very good.

Lovely cosy country pub, friendly staff, perfect to chill outside and watch the world go by on a warm sunny day. The roads leading to the pub are very narrow but there are plenty of passing places. The beach is not far and is not too crowded and has a lovely beach cafe/bar. We stayed for 3nts and intended to visit different places for dinner in the evening but didn't see anywhere nearby that tempted us away from this lovely pub. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

We stayed for one night, and everything was wonderful. The property, the room, and the outdoor spaces were all beautiful and very well maintained. Although we didn't travel with our dog this time, it was great to see how pet-friendly the hotel is. Dogs are welcome in almost all areas, with the exception of the main restaurant, which was a big plus for us and makes us even more likely to return in the future.
