The Prince of Wales

What a little gem the Prince of Wales was. The staff were very professional from the moment I entered the pub. The room was small but perfect for myself. The breakfast (full English) poached eggs on request sausage bacon black pudding hash brown beans and tomato & brown bread toast, quality 5*

This was a 1-night stay for work. Booking stated could not arrive until 6pm. When I called in advance and spoke with Simon, he stated I could arrive before that time, just to knock on the door and you would be let in (as I was arriving on a Monday and the pub does not open until 6pm on Monday's). Good greeting by Simon and I was in room 1. It was cosy, and good enough for a 1-night stay. Decor was dated but okay. TV was okay as was ensuite. I ate at the venue in the evening (they only cook for residents on a Monday), and it was lovely (steak, chips and salad). Breakfast in morning (included in price) was good cooked breakfast (not served until 7:30am unless request made). Nice little find, when nearby will be back.

Pet friendly and a very warm welcome. Bedroom was quite small but had ensuite shower roomand a nice powerful hot shower. Food was nice, i recommend the gammon which was very large and very tasty. Good selection of beers.

Absolutely loved our stay . Such amazing hosts and felt so at home . Our evening meal was delicious and so was our breakfast. Cosy room with all you need. Definitely will return.

Like an old fashioned pub. Room more than adequate. Good pub food and beer. Great breakfast.
