Hotel Taj Resorts

We enjoyed our stay here at Taj Resorts. Pros: 1. Helpful staff. They helped us book our taxi to Delhi when we left. 2. Very clean facilities, and the bed was comfortable. 3. Nice rooftop pool and view of Taj Mahal 4. Amazing location, quiet street and only a 10 minute walk to the Taj Mahal. 5. They had a gift shop right inside the hotel, with reasonably priced souvenirs. Cons: 1. Very minor, but the restaurant doesn't serve alcohol.

Belle chambre, propre, environnement agréable. Situation idéale. Terrasse et piscine super.

The pool was cloudy (needed chemicals ) the was a lot of work been done to the rooftop area(was not informed about )when booking.

Bij aankomst met de taxi werden onze koffers direct naar de kamer gebracht, kamers waren schoon en netjes en voorzien van koelkastje en kluisje. Personeel was erg vriendelijk. Het hotel heeft een hekwerk met bewaking buiten Het zwembad op de 4e etage was mooi, we hebben er helaas geen gebruik van kunnen maken. Op het dakterras heb je mooi uitzicht op de Taj Mahal. Wat ons betreft een prima hotel voor uw bezoek aan Agra.

Nice stay Taj view and pool are amazing

I hate to write a negative review, but this place wasn’t great. It had a bad smell, like moth balls and sewer, and nothing felt clean. The food was not very fresh so I just ate toast and a banana for breakfast. I went to check out the pool only to find a monkey sitting in it who charged at me! I did not provoke it, no eye contact. Fortunately I was able to escape and shut the door before it reached me. There were no warning signs to guests to watch for monkeys, nor does that property attempt to keep them out! I would not recommend this hotel. The only good quality was its location.

Lovely hotel within 10 min walk from Taj Mahal, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooftop pool was open late-ish which was great as we arrive late from Delhi. The resturant served good quality good and reasonable prices. The views of Tj Mahal from the view point just above the resturant was breathtaking! I would highly recommed for people wanting a good traditional Indian hotel

Food was good at the roof top restaurant and breakfast was good too, however, Room and sheets were not so clean. AC was not in working condition and staff took super long to provide help!

Stay elsewhere. At best, this is a 2-star hotel. The place is filthy, and the breakfast area is stacked with mattresses and linens, creating an unpleasant dining environment. I was shocked to see that some of the kitchen staff sleeps in the same area where food is prepared at night. Hygiene and cleanliness seem to be non-existent here. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Proximity to the Taj Mahal is not a plus as the West Gate is a better entrance with much better hotels. So this hotel is out of the way to everything else!

What a wonderful stay with this property was! This property is on top ranking for cleannesses, lovely food, very helpful staff from front office to kitchen and house keeping. Management is very great, friendly and supportive. Walking distance to Taj Mahal. Clear view of Taj Mahal from the terrace of the property. Highly recommended for any stay.

Friendly staff very clean and food is very delicious

La struttura da fuori appare ben tenuta. Purtroppo entrando si sente un brutto odore in ogni locale. La lenzuola e gli asciugamani avevano macchie e facevano un odore indicibile. La pulizia del bagno era pessima. Tutti i pulsanti ed il condizionatore mobile erano pieni di ditate sporche. Nonostante avessi chiesto in reception il cambio della biancheria, questo non è avvenuto. Nota positiva è il cameriere Hakim Singh che ci ha servito durante le 2 cene trascorse in hotel ed è sempre stato disponibile è carinissimo.

The staff was very courteous but the hotel and rooms needed maintenance. The rooms were not as clean as we would have expected. Overall a satisfactory experience.

Overall a good stay. The cleanliness of the room and bathroom was good. Ideal walking distance to the Taj Mahal (around 10mins walk).

No hot water very small rooms

Rooftop restaurant and observation deck were great. We viewed Taj Mahal during sunrise from rooftop was super easy and fun. 15 minute walk to east gat of Taj M was super convenient. Front desk arranged tour guide and taxi for us made things super easy and reasonable prices. Air conditioning was pretty weak, needed ceiling fan on to sleep and wasn’t hot outside during February visit.

The basement rooms were not nice at all, nor the breakfast served in the basement. The staff was so friendly and helpful especially Mr. Yadav.

I mean its a good hotel, its relativley clean per say, but the wifi really sucked, but location is very good not gonna lie..

Ok for the price, suited our needs, wifi can be slow and patchy, dont get room on level below reception as it is noisy from above

Excellent location, walking distance to Taj Mahal east gate (the quietest one). The rooftop pool was lovely to have a dip after a day of sightseeing. The rooftop restaurant has excellent food and service. Our room was very disappointing, with no window and a damp smell. Whilst the upkeep of the property is ok, it lacks the finish and whilst mostly clean, it could definitely be better!

Room was not in good condition. Furniture was old and scratches up. Double bed was two singles pushed together. Few amenities. Not even extra toilet paper. Tea bags were cheap and not even wrapped indiviually. Shower didn't have raised border to stop water flooding bathroom floor. No problem with staff. They were friendly and breakfast was ok.

Great location near Tajmahal. Wonderful view of the Taj from the terrace during the day. The restaurant serves delicious food and the wait staff is amazing. On the negative side, our room was directly below the restaurant so the sound of chairs being dragged came through loud and clear. Mr. Yadav, the manager, told me they are looking for a fix to this problem. Also water was leaking out of the bathtub on to the floor. in our room

The Hotel Taj Resorts is in an excellent location within easy walking distance to the Taj Mahal and many small restaurants. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the shower was awesome - plenty of nice hot water! Great view of the Taj Mahal from the upper viewing tower on the roof. The only thing that I didn't like was the location of the room - it was subterranean, so the window was up near the ceiling - no way to see outside. I would skip the breakfast and go outside to find something to eat.

Reception was proficient and polte. The lady in charge was clear with information required. She delivered tickets for the Taj at nominal additional cost. The breakfast had adequate foods for western tastes in addition to Indian staples. Staff members were again polite and proficient. The lady manager at reception arranged a taxi for us to our next location (Jaipur). The driver was good, the taxi modern and spotless and the costs clear and comprehensive. I was content with the whole package.

We had a wonderful time at the Taj Resort. The staff was amazing, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice and delicious breakfast buffet. The rooftop restaurant had great food as well. The only thing that I think should be mentioned as there were a lot of European and Canadian travellers is that the hotel doesn’t serve any alcohol on the property. We just like to have a glass of wine with dinner.

Worst experience ever i have encountered upon arriving, made a request when booked like 4-5 months before that I need one king bed and other twin beds , never listen or care and gave the ugly bed which has dip at the middle cant even sleep well and have to pay extra for my brother to stay. They won’t even care to listen all they said talk to Expedia . What kind of service is expedia provide to their customers like this? Won’t ever gonna use again

My recent visit to hotel taj resort was amazing as it is conveniently located at walking distance to Taj Mahal. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Also we loved the rooftop restaurant with great food and classical music.

You won't find a better affordable hotel as close to the Taj Mahal. The staff, especially at the front desk, work so well under stressful circumstances. All in all, a great operation!

From the moment we stepped foot on the property until we left for the train, my daughter and I felt well taken care of. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The front desk even sorted out our booking mishap at the hotel of our next destination. The breakfast options were a bit limited but good. They even packed up a take away lunch for our 10 hour train ride. Sadly, it was too cold for swimming in the pool, but we enjoyed some time on the terrace. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Fantastic experience and great general manager. Everyone was happy to help and made sure we had a memorable stay in Agra. Highly recommended. Very short walk to Taj Mahal and the view from the terrace is breathtaking.

I stayed here 2 nights while visiting the Taj Mahal and other heritage sites. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food at the restaurant was pretty good, and my stay included breakfast (a buffet served on the bottom floor next to the in-hotel handcrafts shop). My only complaint is that the bathroom and touch surfaces in my room could have been a bit cleaner. Luckily I travel with disinfecting wipes and was able to touch up as needed. My room was on the floor under the lobby, which I thought strange at first, but then I realized how dark and quiet it was for sleeping. It was so perfect. The best thing about this hotel is the location, just 500 meters from the East gate of the Taj Mahal, on a pedestrian friendly road. I felt very comfortable walking to the Taj in time for sunrise from here as a solo female traveler.

The Hotel Taj Resorts is in an excellent location within easy walking distance to the Taj Mahal and many small restaurants. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the shower was awesome - plenty of nice hot water! Great view of the Taj Mahal from the upper viewing tower on the roof. The only thing that I didn't like was the location of the room - it was subterranean, so the window was up near the ceiling - no way to see outside. I would skip the breakfast and go outside to find something to eat.

The Taj Hotel resort was as advertised. It was walking distance to the Taj Mahal and they were able to sell me a ticket which also included the Agra Fort. I went to the rooftop terrace restaurant just after it opened at 7pm and had a wonderful meal which was accompanied by live traditional music. Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place near the Taj Mahal.

The rooftop for sunrise and sunset views were incredible. Guide for the Taj Mahal picked us up from the hotel door. Good selection of foods for dinner (I recommend the mutton) and freshly made omelettes to order in the morning.

The rooms are next to kitchen and we could hear loud pots and pans banging non- stop from 7 pm till 1 am. People shouting in the hallway. Dirty sheets and bedding. Breakfast was horrible.

Excellent location, walking distance to Taj Mahal. The marble gallery in the basement has the greatest quality we've seen. We bought one here after scouting many other shops. Restaurant food is in good quality. Breakfast is only so-so. Very limited options and no non-veg option. Room a bit small. Bathroom is okay but nothing to write home about. Noise insulation is not good as you can hear noise from outside easily. Staff is super friendly and helpful so it makes up for the shortcomings of the hotel.
