I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel. Due to an unexpected medical emergency, I was unable to travel and immediately contacted hotels.com and the hotel directly with the official medical documentation attached, requesting either a date change or assistance regarding my reservation. I called the hotel several times with no luck. While the hotel eventually agreed to change my reservation dates, I was asked to pay an “additional fee” despite the circumstances being completely unexpected and beyond my control. I tried to contact them through phone calls and emails several times with no luck to provide additional documentation regarding my medical situation and ask them to waive the additional fee. I still did not get a response. I understand policies exist, but I am disappointed by the lack of flexibility and compassion shown during a genuine medical emergency. I truly expect a better approach from an international hotel chain.
