Looked great in the Expedia pictures, but is very run down, dirty and unclean - this felt like a bait and switch. Traffic noise from 101 really loud; No AC so with windows closed no ventilation. Carpet is filthy and didn’t feel good walking barefoot. Cockroach in bathtub. When I went to get the towel off the rack, the entire rack popped off the supports on the wall. Didn’t plug anything into the outlets as was worried it was sketchy. All furniture is old, dingy and covered with scrapes and dings. This is not a cool old motel that’s been renovated and looks great - this is an old motel that hasn’t had anything except paint. Avoid.

Room was clean & comfortable. No robe or towel hooks in the bathroom. Had to run the sink hot water in order to eventually get shower hot water. Staff did solve the initial TV issues.

For the price, you don't get much. The room was relatively clean, but there are NO frills other than a fridge and microwave. No literature in the room (no idea how to use the two tv remotes), no food, feels like a kind of unsafe neighborhood (clerk stays behind a bullet proof window), no place to put your luggage, tiny bathroom.

It was clean, well kept. Definitely lacking air conditioning but offered fans in lieu of a/c. Friendly and helpful. Easy to access off the highway. Definitely good if all you need is a spot to lay your head and get ready.

The walls in the bathroom were filthy all the way around. The light switches in the bathroom were also filthy. The shutters in the bedroom had goop on them. There is no place to hang any shirt or trousers, and there was no coffee. There was one small plastic drinking cup individually wrapped in a package that had already been opened. The staff was very kind and try to be as accommodating as possible.

Garbage from previous occupant left on the floor. The young man at the desk was pleasant—but this is a very old, not-kept-up, property that I’d avoid. Also to their detriment, no coffee in the room.

Hotel was ok nothing special great place to rest but the bathroom was small I was not able to move inside the shower without getting hit in that tight space also it’s next to the freeway so there is a lot of noise… The clerk was very nice and helpful with all our questions the only down fall was the noise and the bathroom but other then that the place was clean and very nice

This place was really bad at night time some bugs started to bite I was itching all the way to my house, I went stray to take a shower and throw the clothes I was wearing in my washer, also I asked for a quiet room, and all night I could hear the loud neighbors they soo loud, sorry but never again!

It was a very nice stay. The beds and pillows were really nice and comfortable. It's older, but it has it's charm. It's right next to the freeway and you can hear the cars, but otherwise it was very quiet and peaceful. The only thing I wish it had was bedside lamps. Otherwise our room was had two rooms, one for each bed and I really liked that. The managers were very nice and helpful as well.

It’s clean and centrally located. Less than half the price of local hotels. Located just 100 feet from the 101 freeway, it’s slightly noisy. I would stay again.

It was a very nice stay. The beds and pillows were really nice and comfortable. It's older, but it has it's charm. It's right next to the freeway and you can hear the cars, but otherwise it was very quiet and peaceful. The only thing I wish it had was bedside lamps. I’m not presently happy with this property as my credit card was billed twice for the same amount and they’ve not processed the transaction yet so I’ve got a considerable amount of money being held for a transaction that should only have been run once.

Great price and near Mill Valley and Sausalito and the freeway. Staff were super helpful. When I left my laptop charging in the room after checking out, they called me right away and held it until I could get back that evening to pick it up.

I liked nothing except the bed. Bad directions, on top of a very freeway. The bed was good. This place is adequate for a night. Whatever I paid was okay, I guess. The whole place is a typical old motel with updates that had no thought for anything. I rarely get hooked on these kinds of places and I was sorry I rented there.

I liked nothing except the bed. Bad directions, on top of a very freeway. The bed was good. This place is adequate for a night. Whatever I paid was okay, I guess. The whole place is a typical old motel with updates that had no thought for anything. I rarely get hooked on these kinds of places and I was sorry I rented there.

Great price and near Mill Valley and Sausalito and the freeway. Staff were super helpful. When I left my laptop charging in the room after checking out, they called me right away and held it until I could get back that evening to pick it up.

It’s clean and centrally located. Less than half the price of local hotels. Located just 100 feet from the 101 freeway, it’s slightly noisy. I would stay again.

For the price, you don't get much. The room was relatively clean, but there are NO frills other than a fridge and microwave. No literature in the room (no idea how to use the two tv remotes), no food, feels like a kind of unsafe neighborhood (clerk stays behind a bullet proof window), no place to put your luggage, tiny bathroom.

Mediocre at best. You get what you pay for—bare bones small little room, filthy rug and dirty bathroom, bugs flying around inside of the ceiling light fixture. Garbage from previous occupant left on the floor. The young man at the desk was pleasant—but this is a very old, not-kept-up, property that I’d avoid. Also to their detriment, no coffee in the room.

The walls in the bathroom were filthy all the way around. The light switches in the bathroom were also filthy. The shutters in the bedroom had goop on them. There is no place to hang any shirt or trousers, and there was no coffee. There was one small plastic drinking cup individually wrapped in a package that had already been opened. The staff was very kind and try to be as accommodating as possible.

I was disappointed to not have coffee or the continental breakfast they once offered!! I was denied my Pomchi and I explained she was a service dog everything was fine!! In the morning when I returned my key the office apologized and I appreciated that !! I have a wonderful 2 days in Tiburon.

To be honest the shower curtains were stained with what looked like mildew. When ever the fridge kicked on and off it affected the TV. Went to check out at 5 am and no one was in the office. And the website says 24hr office. Will not stay there again.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Booked a three night stay. There are no DND signs. I had a strange feeling the first morning so I packed up the majority of my belongings before leaving. Thankfully I did because upon returning I found someone else’s things in the room. They had removed the bathroom items I left behind and given the room to someone else. I had a physical key so I don’t know how many copies they have for each room. They gave me the room next door without an apology or an explanation. Needless to say I was very uncomfortable for the rest of my stay. I did not leave anything in the room when I left after that. There also appears to be someone staying in their van in the parking lot and several other cars are just parked there limiting parking.

The gentleman, that received me at arrival, was very friendly, and polite. And the First maid Lady at arrival was also friendly. The 2 nd maid lady her name is Tula. The Tamalpais Motel is the best place, where is close to Sausalito, Tiburon, Tennessee Valley, Golden Gate, Marin Headlands. Everyone this will be my home base when I am in town. Thank you Tamalpais Motel.

This is a VERY budget hotel with few amenities and lots of freeway noise. As long as you can accept that reality, this is an ok place to stay. The room was clean. There was no explanation of how to log into wi-fi (had to call to get password). There was a TV, small fridge and microwave (which I didn't use). The bathroom was small and cramped but also clean. There was no place to set down my bathroom supplies. Would not stay here again, but the circumstances forced it and I was able to get a tolerable night's sleep despite the freeway noise.
