Enttäuschender Aufenthalt an Traumlage – Erhebliche Mängel bei Service und Hygiene Die Lage direkt am See ist fantastisch – das Gesamtangebot des Hotels Beau-Rivage in Weggis entsprach jedoch in keiner Weise den Erwartungen. Der Eingangsbereich wirkt dunkel und ungepflegt, der Flurteppich wies sichtbare Flecken auf. Das zugewiesene Zimmer war sehr klein, das Mobiliar abgenutzt. Entgegen den Internetangaben fehlte der Kühlschrank (nur das Kabel lag frei) und das Telefon war nicht angeschlossen. Auch bei Hygiene und Ausstattung gab es deutliche Mängel: Das Bettlaken lag ohne Matratzenschoner direkt auf der Matratze, die Bettwäsche wirkte verbraucht und das Kissen bot kaum Liegekomfort. Im Bad zeigten sich trotz Sanierung bereits bröckelnde Fliesenfugen und eine lose WC-Brille. Der Aussenbereich mit defekten Sonnenschirmen machte einen vernachlässigten Eindruck. Verunreinigungen durch Hunde auf dem Kiesplatz wurden trotz Hinweis an der Rezeption nicht beseitigt. Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr einfach gehalten, wenngleich das Brot gut war. Besonders unprofessionell war die Reaktion der Rezeptionistin auf unsere sachliche Rückmeldung. Sinngemäss antwortete sie, dass man das Haus nicht erneut buchen müsse, wenn der Aufenthalt nicht den Vorstellungen entsprochen habe. Es ist bedauerlich, ein Haus an so schöner Lage in diesem Zustand und mit derart unaufmerksamem Service zu erleben. Unter dieser Leitung ist ein weiterer Besuch ausgeschlossen.

Although the room was ok the hotel overall was very dated! The restaurant was separately run from the hotel and the pool area while nicely located on the side of the lake was in need to maintenance and modernisation… I was very surprised that the hotels.com rating for this hotel was so high… at best this is a 3-star hotel… The staff were perfectly friendly and helpful, but there were not enough of them. You had to find the restaurant staff if you wanted a drink while sat by the pool area. We did eat in the restaurant on one night and although the food was good, it was expensive.. If you are used to a good standard of hotel on holiday, I would not recommend this one.
