We selected this hotel primarily for the location close to the train station, but it was a fantastic location in general. A block walk to the water and very close to everything else, bars, restaurants, shops. There is a restaurant and bar attached and the staff was aweaome and helpful. We did not get the breakfast there, but our friends did and they enjoyed it very much. The hotel itself is very unique and beautifully decorated. I loved all the fun wallpaper! Our room was small but comfortable. Bed and pillows were very comfy. The rooftop terrace was small but had a nice view of the evening sky and 6 of us were able to hang out fairly comfortably. Staff was excellent and friendly. NOTE: there is no air-conditioning at this hotel. We were there during a summer heat wave, so it was warm. However, with the fan they provided and opening the window at night, we were able to sleep comfortably. We are from a hot humid climate, so it was not terrible for us, but might be for those not used to it. I would stay here again when visiting Zurich.

Location was wonderful. You can walk to hotel easy with suitcases from train station . Breakfast minimal but good. Clean and easy check in and out . Elevator down one day which was difficult but otherwise recommend it.

The hotel is very convenient to Zurich HBF. One of the exits/entrances on Bahnhofstrasse is just around the corner. The room was relatively large and the bathroom (particularly the shower) excellent. The view from the rooftop terrace was a bit disappointing. (Not really much to see). The bar downstairs was very nice for an after dinner drink and the staff very friendly and professional. Check in and check out was efficient and friendly.

Great location. The rooms smelled a little and the furniture was a bit dirty and wall paper and furniture worn down. Lounge downstairs was spacious with lots of books to sit and read or talk. Restaurants nearby were convenient and great!

This was a fantastic hotel, much better than I had ever expected and would recommend to anyone. However, when I opened the draw next to the bed there was some condoms in there (used) which was not nice. and someone else's hair in the bedding. So cleanliness was not their strength, check under the bed, but everything else was outstanding.

The hotel itself was beautiful and the staff was great. However, we discovered in the morning the windows were covered in black mold and we woke up feeling miserable because of the amount of dust and mold throughout.

Staff very friendly and helpful, location excellent. Rooms small but with everything needed including bathrobe and slippers. Rooms clean although worn need a little tlc around paintwork and furnishings. All in all an enjoyable 4 day stay.

Big room excellent location restaurants museum train station shops and river nearby. A little noisy early and late with wondows open - no AC but great fans. Great staff, friedky and helpful. Elevator does noy go to 6th floor, sttep stairs up. We booked on 5 however. Would book again.

Loved everything about this beautiful place! The staff was extraordinary! We lucked out and got an air conditioned jr suite — which was a godsend, as it was very warm in Zurich!

The rooms were fine, but the bathrooms were quite small. Keep in mind the rooms do not have AC or at least the one I stayed in didn’t have it. It also has a restaurant on the ground floor connected to it and is quite loud if you are staying on the second floor.

Very close to the train station for easy travel. We had our room overlooking the street and it was very noisy. There is no AC or fan, so you need the window open for ventilation. Bring ear plugs & eye mask.

Due to late check-in, there was no one available to check us into the property at the hotel. They sent us an email with details of the room key being left in the ‘black box’ at the door of the property. On arrival we discovered they had actually left the room key with the manager of the bar downstairs instead. On entry to the room we saw the toilet had been filled with tissue? When we flushed we quickly discovered the toilet was blocked with the tissue and therefore unable to be used for the duration of the stay, (one night). We went downstairs to see if there was anyone available to help/change rooms, however there was no hotel staff/number to contact.

Staff are very friendly and accommodating. The guy even went out of his way to show us how the door leading to our porch works. Location is great, near train station and stores. We did not know however that front desk doesn't open till 8 when we checked out at 7 but good thing we saw housekeeping and she helped us.

Checkin staffed leaves the property at midnight apparently! Our flight was late and arrived after midnight. In the end we had to call a number. The person who picked was nice and helpful, but the process wasn’t right.

This was not the most wonderful hotel I've stayed at but it was a solid good stay. The staff was friendly and accommodating when needed. They allowed us to drop off our bags before check in time, which was very helpful. The room felt like I was staying at a friend's grandparents' house because the decor was old style and a bit outdated. However, the bed was very comfortable, the room was quiet in spite of being on the 2nd floor, and the bathroom was clean. So overall it served its purpose. It felt a little bit overpriced for what you get but the location is really this hotel's best feature. Super close to the main station and easy to get everywhere.

This hotel was ok, i wasnt too happy with it. It needs to be updated, the pictures werent exactly matching up. It was extremely loud, at all hours of the night, even past 2-5am. Either people were outside and closer to 5am it was i guess trucks or something else. You have to open the window because theres no A/C, no fans. It was incredibly hot in there. The thing that made me feel unsafe was a worker entered the room around 4 or 5pm when we were taking a nap. The room was obviously clean when we checked in, so not sure why she waa coming up at an odd hour. She didnt knock or anything, i heard the door open and jumped up and yelled, and she said sorry and left the room. Honestly wouldnt stay here again, we didnt feel safe leaving our passports or belongings in there after that incident.

We had a two day stay which we extended for an additional day due to flight delays. Lila provided an excellent reception, including information and baggage storage. Comfortable rooms. Floors perhaps need a more frequent mopping. We will recommend your hotel.

A great stay on Zurich. The location is perfect, a 3 minute walk to the train, but quiet. The breakfast was ok, you cook your own eggs which was interesting. A good selection of food though and terrific coffee. The staff at breakfast were not very friendly. The staff in the hotel though were great, very friendly and hospitable. We stayed in the Junior Suite so had plenty of room. The furniture is on the older side, but charming. We had no hot water on both mornings We stayed which was a bit inconvenient, but this is the risk when staying in a boutique hotel and they quickly fixed the bullet (well it took about 30 mins, but we just had breakfast in the meantime). I would still recommend, the character and friendly staff of a boutique hotel make up for the hot water, and the location and affordability could not be beaten. Thanks for great stay!

Great hotel! Convenient to train station and old town. Room was very comfortable, but warm, thank goodness for windows that open! Breakfast was expensive and minimal. Very unlike most European hotel breakfasts we have experienced in the past.

Great location, close to the train station and restaurant. Lovely room (loved the wallpaper). The room was facing the street so it’s not the most quiet and there’s no A/C but there was a fan. The pillow was essentially filled with air but luckily there was a “pillow menu” with other options and one of the staff members was kind enough to bring some other pillows up to our room. Breakfast is 21 CHF/pp with pretty limited choices—they serve great espresso.

The best thing about this hotel was its location, basically right across from the train station and close to the shopping. But the breakfast they offered was really not anything and maybe there would’ve been more, but every plate was empty. Also, there was a man behind us who was arguing with the guy at the bar, which is where the breakfast was because the man only had a cup of coffee and he wanted to charge him $15 for breakfast. He threatened to call the police if the man didn’t pay. It was absolutely ridiculous. They also ran out of ice which to me is really odd if it’s a bar and there’s no ice. I wouldn’t stay there again.
