Hot water took over 15 mins to arrive to the shower. Service was very patchy. Not a good overall experience. Two positive things the pool was very good and the club room was also very good.

As a tourist, the location was the only downfall being far away from the things I wanted to see. That being said the rest of my stay was near perfect. There aren’t enough words to describe the hospitality every staff member displayed. The room was large and very comfortable. Pillow top bed spread had me sinking into sublime sleep. The bathroom was also large and well appointed. The hotel pool was cool and refreshing and offered poolside drinks and food. If you have business in the area this is a great option.

Excellent hotel and wonderful staff. My stuff was great and I fell sick and the staff took such great care of me with doctors, medications and checking on me as well as sending some get well fruits. I would 100% stay here on my next trip to Mumbai. Also facilities like gym and sauna and pool are very nice.

Thanks to the team for excellent weekend and enjoyed Spa treatment. Hotel is best for art lovers to NMACC or shoppers to Jio World. Dinning options within hotel or around BKC area are ample. Highly Recommended for people coming to Mumbai for long weekends.

The beginning of the stay was great. The housekeeping deteriorated daily. First day we had all the amenities in our room, but daily we would be missing towels, spoons, lotion, trash take out. The room was really lovely, but housekeeping needs to check more closely daily. The buffet was good but way too expensive. A person can not possibly eat enough food in one sitting to justify the price. The pool was just okay. Water was warm and not refreshing. Personnel are always looking for a tip, so that can be annoying too.

For a five star rated hotel ,the carpet under the bed was all dirty and visibly dirty . Expected much better than this from the cleanliness point of view . Room did not seem spotless clean . Few things were broken next to bedside. The couch was not clean either .

This place although still good, has lost the splendor it had in the past. In my room, I dropped something and I happened to look under a piece of furniture to find it. The area seemed like it had not been cleaned in years. The menu does not have much variety, especially after hours. This shouldn't be the case with a hotel of this caliber.

While the staff are friendly, the overall food quality lacks flavor. Considering the price, this property may not provide good value for money. A grand and nice hotel to stay. We were given a stained blanket, that's just about one fault at their end. They did offer to exchange it, though. So not holding it against them but just mentioning to let the staff know. Otherwise, wonderful location, walkable to US Consulate.

One of the worst nightmare. Had bedbugs.. after complaining learnt that the property was recently under vent pest control. The staff was just trying to be polite but didn’t want to do anything about it. We had rashes and skin reaction. Was offered complimentary to go snacks but didn’t do anything about reimbursement. Wish I can give none stars.

Checking in and out was easy but I was woken up at 5.30am one day from loud banging noise. I believe the noise came from the ground floor construction. I call reception but the banging continued till 6.30am. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious.

The hotel location is great, other than that there is nothing good about this hotel. The rooms are very outdated and small, decor is horrible. In general the staff needs training on how to be courteous with guests ( no one smiles or they care to greet the guests ). Pondicherry cafe is the worst, no up keep and the food is sub standard.

Checked in with Afreen who was nice but the check in took too long. The lobby looks very nice. Specifically the coffeshop downstairs our room was dark in colors. The room layout is weird and wasting space the same with bathroom.

Room 933's configuration is very user unfriendly. To access the WC, I need to deal with two heavy glass doors. There are too many corners within a simple room. The work desk (glass top) is pressing against the power socket - it is impossible to use the socket. Charges are too expensive for such an old hotel, including the food - comparing with other major cities. Plus: The service staff during breakfast are very efficient and quick.

At check in we waited almost four hours. They do not allow early check in. There is no option to early check in. Once we checked in we took shower water is all over in bathroom and slipping tiles situated. We have to ultra conscious that we will not fell down. Inside restaurants are very very expensive that no one can afford this cost. Room rent is too high even though it’s not five star hotel. They are charging room rent because of US Consulate office is walkable. Airport Shuttle is not free. Charging Rs. 3000 that is ripped off. Food and Shuttle and rent are truly disappointed. I will never recommend to anyone to stay in this hotel.

Room was not ready on time . We reached hotel before 1 pm but they gave one room after 03:30 pm and next room after one more hour. So, we wasted almost half day . We were tired after travel and we can’t take proper rest and were restless . So, ultimately it spoiled our evening party at Bastians. And we returned early from party and wasted money as well

The customer service experienced was by far the best I've ever had in a hotel to date. Standing out in my experience were the following people: Rose (Sofitel customer service) promptly called after I responded to a survey re: my check in experience. Melwyn Dsouza (airport transpotation lead) was always personable, checking on how the stay was going. Shrikant Jogkantar (Sofitel cuisine chef) approached to introduce himslef and inquire whether there was anything I had a taste for. I had no requests. The food was excellent. All of the staff I interacted with were not pandering but warm, sincere.

(1)Bathroom Drainage Issues: There was a serious problem with the bathroom drainage — both the shower area and the bathtub were not draining properly, causing the entire bathroom to flood. (2) Unhelpful Staff Conduct During a Medical Emergency: A more concerning issue was the attitude of the concierge staff. As a tourist, the location was the only downfall being far away from the things I wanted to see. That being said the rest of my stay was near perfect. There aren’t enough words to describe the hospitality every staff member displayed. The room was large and very comfortable. Pillow top bed spread had me sinking into sublime sleep. The bathroom was also large and well appointed. The hotel pool was cool and refreshing and offered poolside drinks and food. If you have business in the area this is a great option.

A grand and nice hotel to stay. We were given a stained blanket, that's just about one fault at their end. They did offer to exchange it, though. So not holding it against them but just mentioning to let the staff know. Otherwise, wonderful location, walkable to US Consulate.

The beginning of the stay was great. The housekeeping deteriorated daily. First day we had all the amenities in our room, but daily we would be missing towels, spoons, lotion, trash take out. The room was really lovely, but housekeeping needs to check more closely daily. The buffet was good but way too expensive. A person can not possibly eat enough food in one sitting to justify the price. The pool was just okay. Water was warm and not refreshing. Personnel are always looking for a tip, so that can be annoying too.

I typically write reviews after completing my stay, but the experience has been so great, I’m writing it now. I came to Mumbai as a tourist for two days with my family. Hotel and rooms: Luxurious. The rooms, especially the bathroom, are very spacious. My parents said they felt they were staying in a palace of sorts. Food: The breakfast buffet is impeccable. I’ve stayed at many luxury hotels with a similar spread (in quantity), but none that tasted as good as Sofitel’s. The chefs need to take a bow. The best vada pav, waffles, and baked goods. Everything was delicious. Staff/service: Also impeccable - 10/10. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The hotel had a complementary cocktail night and it was out of this world. The best drinks and appetizers. Location: I personally love BKC. It feels very modern. The hotel felt close enough to the remainder of the city - especially west Bandra. Just fyi - I took a taxi to get here from the airport and it was reasonable at 1200 rupees. Everything is so immaculately done here. I would definitely stay here again.

We purchased the upgrade to suite at arrival for 75$, which also granted us access to the lounge on the 14th floor. The room was spacious and really nice, with a great bed and a large shower and bath. The staff delivered excellent service throughout our stay, and I’d highly recommend to book here for a stay in Mumbai

We mistakenly booked for July 25-28 whereas we wanted to book for June 25-28. We booked on June 23rd and hence did a non-refundable reservation. On checking into the hotel, they said that we didn't hold a reservation on June 25 and that we would need a new reservation as they cannot do anything about the July reservation. So my family had no option but to get a new reservation for June 25-28 while at the hotel reception check-in counters. Upon getting back home, we tried with Hotels.com to cancel or at least allow us changeable dates for the July 25-28 reservation. First we tried with the hotel and again they said that this matter needs to be taken up with Hotels.com. Upon reaching Hotels.com they said they will need to contact the hotel and see if they are willing to allow us to cancel or make date changes. One of the hotel employees told the Hotels.com support that he didn't have the ability to make these decisions and would need to contact upper management. Finally on July 25th, Hotels.com reached out to us and informed us that Sofitel had declined to either cancel the booking or allow us to make date changes.
