Stay was ok, but air conditioner was leaking all over room floor. Outside there was too much litter. No working vending machines. No bathtub stopper. Mirror dirty.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in! They told us they had a functioning pool because we told them that we have 3 kids and it is a must They lied to us and when we arrived it was not working They also would not work on the price at all, and when we told them we didn’t want to stay there they said “to bad” because it’s past the 48 hours to cancel and we would be charged The rooms were so dirty that the kids feet was black as coal and had to wash them off and take showers in the bathroom to remove dirt There was also racist comments made to our family as well!! I am getting hold of Corporate office asap and possible legal action as well! The area also is very unsafe as we heard and witnessed violence and police chases right in front of the hotel Do not stay there, it is far worst I have ever encountered in my entire life!!

I dont think a tornado could clean this place. Very musty smelling from the nasty carpet. I could not sleep under the comforter, was worried bout bed bugs and they wasnt clean at all. Lobby area where breakfast was served also very nasty. They was working on the room next to mine late in the nite. Bathroom was probably the worst. Floor looks like someone tries to tile it and forgot the grout. Bathtub was very dirty inside and out. Toilet was broken. Didn't think the owners/staff really cared bout how the the accommodations was satisfactory for guests. Pool doesnt look like it was opened at all this year. Was still covered and looked empty. Nothing as described online. I can deal deal with alot but this place made me feel like i need a tetanus shot after one night there!. Desk attendant was friendly but place looks like its ran by extremely lazy and seemingly careless people.

I was disappointed that the pool wasn’t open. I chose this hotel because it had a pool, so a heads up that the pool wasn’t open on website before I booked would have been appreciated. Or even an email stating it wouldn’t be open would have been nice. The floors in my room were not clean at all. Bathtub and toilet, less than clean, and sink has a draining issue. It was comfortable, but I probably won’t book here again.

Upon checking in for a one-night stay and booking a King smoking room, I discovered that the room had not been adequately cleaned upon my departure. The refrigerator contained remnants of french fries and ketchup. Additionally, there were items in the toilet and sink, and the bed was soiled. It appears that there may have been a misunderstanding regarding the cleanliness of the room. Despite this issue, I returned to the front desk, where I was accommodated in a different room that was more pleasant. The hotel appears to be undergoing renovations, and the pool is currently not functional. I ended up staying here for three more nights. On my third night, the staff approached me and inquired if we would be returning. They expressed their satisfaction with our stay and offered a discount on our payment, which was previously made through Expedia. This allowed me to save money for the extended stay. The positive aspects of the hotel include its quiet atmosphere, low traffic, and lack of noise. I feel safe and comfortable there. If I return to Rockingham the quality Inn hotel will be where I stay

Best I can say is the beds were comfortable. Mediocre clean. Only two small towels provided no washcloths. I did not ask for more, but my daughter and her family who stayed a few doors down dead and they said there was no more available. She will leave her own review, which is worse than mine. Staff was cordial. Girl who checked us in pleasant. Continental breakfast was a joke. You could make your own waffle. No fruit no bread, bagels or eggs. A couple of some sort of muffins. Frosted cornflakes. Also juice and coffee. not anything like pictured. Pool closed for the past 3 years, no plans to reopen it. All in all glad we were only there one night since we were traveling. Definitely not recommended for anything longer.

We rented 3 rooms- the sink in each was clogged and barely drained. One floor was damp and very slippery. We dried it with towels, and they were black when we finished. Bedding was dirty and our door did not latch. On top of all that, I’d booked and paid through Expedia. The hotel’s computer kept giving them a message that my card had been declined for one of the 3 rooms. I spent an hour in the lobby on the phone with Expedia in the presence of hotel staff to prove I’d paid. Staff members were friendly enough, but this was a horrible hotel experience.

The rooms were very dirty. Food crumbs left over on nightstand, rusted lamps, dull to barely any lights, the bathtub was black and filthy as if it hasn’t been cleaned. After a 15 hour drive, we checked out after 30 minutes of being in the room because of these conditions.

The shower didn't work the bathroom floor and surfaces were slimy. It smelled like mildew. Office guy came and sprayed my room with air freshener and mopped the bathroom floor and brought towels that were not already in the room told me I need to leave the fan running for the AC unit and that's why it smelled. There were bugs in the room. 10/10 would not stay here again

$143 per night did not measure up to other hotels in the area. Hotels.com did not vet this place. I got a room for my granddaughter and great grand kids, the first room they got was so filthy and unprepared it was obvious the room was some crack room. The second room was also filthy with a hole in the wall and a door that was completely unsecure. The final room didn't have a heater/ac that was connected and no room phone. I will neither use this hotel nor Hotels.com at any point in the future. You treated my little granddaughter like a dog for a phenominal price.Abysmal place and hotel company that booked it.

The room was filthy. Even the clothes hangers had a film of dust on them. There were flies in the room. The surfaces were covered in dust. The sink was blocked. Clearly the room had not been occupied for a while, and had not been cleaned recently. Very over priced, poor cleanliness overall.

Property was quiet. Staff at the front desk were friendly. The rooms was roomy but it was dirty. Floors looks like it hasn’t been swept and mop in a while. Beddings and towels had stains. There were molds on shower curtains. We also found some insects in the rooms.

The hotel is at a very busy intersection and noise from the traffic was terrible. The room was dark and dingy. The door was not flush and there was quite a gap at the bottom. It didn't appear that the floor was cleaned that often as there was a sticky spot which we wiped up with a white facecloth that was totally soiled after a few swipes. Would not stay there again. It turned us off for all Quality Inns.

The bed was not the best. The mattress sat on a metal frame that squeaked with the slightest move. Otherwise, the room was okay. We didn't utilize breakfast, but we did get a few cups of coffee during our stay. However, our biggest compliment goes to the staff, who were very friendly and helpful.

The only reason I gave a little lower score was that the door going into the room is completely broken and rusted out on the bottom. Does not close the whole way so the cold air was cutting across the floor all night

The door to our room looked like it had been kicked in, huge spaces at the top and bottom where you could see outside. The bolt would not fully engage. The outside of the room was very dirty. Place didn’t feel safe. We left and got a room at another hotel. Would not recommend going to this hotel.

Easy check in. Front door had been kicked in so many times that light would come thru bottom of door. Security lock on door had been broken off. Sink couldn't drain. Floor was dirty. No wash clothes. Ac was good for noise not air. Hair still on shower wall. Walls so thin that you could hear next door conversation. If there had been other hotels with availability- I would have moved

It turned us off for all Quality Inns.

CHECK IN WAS A DISASTER! Three times I had to walk back to the desk, because our room key did not work. Makala, the woman on duty made a new key each time. Each time it did not open our room. We got in when she was finally able to open the door with a master key. But after unpacking our suitcase, she came back with a new key which still didn't work so we were told we couldn't stay in that room. Packing up our things, we waited to find out where our new room would be. For over 15 minutes we could not find either of the staff anywhere on the premises. Both were AWOL. Isaiah, the young man on duty, finally showed up and took us to another room. He said it was an "upgrade" for the inconvenience, but it was not accessible like our original reservation. BUT, there was no key! We waited for almost an hour before speaking with Makala about getting a key. She was borderline rude and said we should just go to dinner and she would have a key for us when we returned. That was not an acceptable response. She claimed she had other guests to check on, something about making sure of their safety, whatever that meant. We did go have dinner and when we went to the lobby, Makala saw us and slapped a key on the counter right away, along with a little chuckle, like everything was OK.

I stood in the lobby for 30 minutes waiting for someone to come to the desk to check me in when I arrived. When she came to the desk she told me I owed a $100 cash deposit, there was no earlier mention of any deposit. The bathroom had holes in the wall an paint splatter all over the floor. The room smelled like weed.

The bed was not the best. The mattress sat on a metal frame that squeaked with the slightest move. Otherwise, the room was okay. We didn't utilize breakfast, but we did get a few cups of coffee during our stay. However, our biggest compliment goes to the staff, who were very friendly and helpful.

We booked this.property through expedia. When we arrived the front desk lady was nice. When we got to our room it had a smell, once we in and looking around the fire alarm kept chirpping that loud high putched noise every few minutes. We called the front office and she said there was no maintenance staff to look at it, we asked for batteries to see if we could fix it and we were told they did t know where they were and hung up on us. I then approached the front office and was told I could not have a manager or contact information or a refund because she was not authorized, we asked to switch rooms and she again said she was not authorized. We knew we would not be able to sleep and just did not feel comfortable there. As of today they still refuse to refund our money due to it being a prepaid room. Highly not recommend this place to stay.

My biggest complaint was check in. This was the most unprofessional encounter i have ever had upon check in, and i have traveled throughout the US and world for over 25 years. I was checked in by Ms. Mcdonald around 6pm. Upon checkin she insisted i had to leave a $100 cash deposit. Was not allowed to leave on a card had to be cash. Upon which time i asked for a receipt which she refused twice. Might add the rudeness of her denial of a receipt. I therefore called corporate who assured me they have no policy for a cash deposit, eapecially with no receipt. The room was outdated , batroom needed repairs and entry door when closed had a very big gap. The cash feposit was refunded the next morning. But that being said it does not excuse refusal of receipt. I would not recommend staying at this location. Next time in the area i will be sure to shop around.

They offer free rollaway/extra bed and they do not honor their offers. We booked a dbl room with an extra bed and when we arrived they told us that they do not offer that and did not know anything about this information. They did not try to help. We had to look for another room in another hotel an the end of the day. Extra stress, extra charge and split the group. They had to review what they post in Expedia. I hope they take responsibility for this.

Check in went great. The staff was very friendly. You can tell they are upgrading the rooms and they look great. However, there was no hot water. It was warmer than freezing, but not hot enough to be warm. I would suggest you remove the debris from the property to clean up the area. The breakfast is small but adequate. Overall the room was was adequate for what we needed.

Check-in was terrific; we arrived early due to family medical emergency and manager arranged early check-in with no issue. Friendly, respectful staff.Property is under renovation, room was clean - no bugs, but had mold/mildew in bathroom, microwave was broken, various repairs needed. This property has only been owned for 2 weeks by current management. Give them grace! They’ll have issues under control soon.

Property is very dated. When we checked in the key would not open the door. Went down to desk she gave me the House keeping key and said try this. Had to call again and she said she would be up. Took us to another room. She left and there was no toilet paper in the bathroom. Called down and she said you can come get some. We ask for 2 more towels and she said she couldn’t give us anymore. Fleas in bathroom, floors were dirty. The only good thing was beds were comfortable and the shower had hot water and good pressure. Other than that it was horrible. I would never stay there again and I would not recommend it.

The door to our room looked like it had been kicked in, huge spaces at the top and bottom where you could see outside. The bolt would not fully engage. The outside of the room was very dirty. Place didn’t feel safe. We left and got a room at another hotel. Would not recommend going to this hotel.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in! They told us they had a functioning pool because we told them that we have 3 kids and it is a must They lied to us and when we arrived it was not working They also would not work on the price at all, and when we told them we didn’t want to stay there they said “to bad” because it’s past the 48 hours to cancel and we would be charged The rooms were so dirty that the kids feet was black as coal and had to wash them off and take showers in the bathroom to remove dirt There was also racist comments made to our family as well!! I am getting hold of Corporate office asap and possible legal action as well! The area also is very unsafe as we heard and witnessed violence and police chases right in front of the hotel Do not stay there, it is far worst I have ever encountered in my entire life!!

The refrigerator contained remnants of french fries and ketchup. Additionally, there were items in the toilet and sink, and the bed was soiled. It appears that there may have been a misunderstanding regarding the cleanliness of the room. Despite this issue, I returned to the front desk, where I was accommodated in a different room that was more pleasant. The hotel appears to be undergoing renovations, and the pool is currently not functional. I ended up staying here for three more nights. On my third night, the staff approached me and inquired if we would be returning. They expressed their satisfaction with our stay and offered a discount on our payment, which was previously made through Expedia. This allowed me to save money for the extended stay. This is a very low level hotel. It’s not worth a penny over $75 a night. The remote control for the TV was missing. It looked like the door to my room has been kicked in a few times. The bathroom was so disgusting that I didn’t take a shower in the morning. The continental breakfast was small danishes and cereal and they were covered in flies…. So I didn’t eat.

It was a good stay, but room service sucked the continental. breakfast was not as good as it used to be they keep running out of food take a long time to get restocked i have stayed there a few years ago it was great, my next visit to Rockingham North Carolina to stay i will look at other places. Best I can say is the beds were comfortable. Mediocre clean. Only two small towels provided no washcloths. I did not ask for more, but my daughter and her family who stayed a few doors down dead and they said there was no more available. She will leave her own review, which is worse than mine. Staff was cordial. Girl who checked us in pleasant. Continental breakfast was a joke. You could make your own waffle. No fruit no bread, bagels or eggs. A couple of some sort of muffins. Frosted cornflakes. Also juice and coffee. not anything like pictured. Pool closed for the past 3 years, no plans to reopen it. All in all glad we were only there one night since we were traveling. Definitely not recommended for anything longer.

This was an experience. Just stayed to rest for a few hours before heading further south. Rooms had a stench of mold. Curtains literally hanging off wall. Lamps did not work. Fridge was warmer than the dresser. No shampoo in dispenser. No conditioner in dispenser. And the final kicker….. there was ZERO toilet paper in our room. Not on roller. Not in cabinet. ZERO. I went to front desk to let them know about the toilet paper and her response was “oh ok, would you like some?” The best thing about this place was the Mexican restaurant across the street. 10/10. Please. Consider other hotels to stay if travelling south. PS - I have never written a bad review before. I want to save the next family from having to wipe a sock in an emergency. 😂

We needed a place to stay with our cats. They charge $25 per pet which is fine but they also charge an additional $150 cleaning fee which we did not know. I thought the $25 per pet was for that??? Needless to say it made the cost of the stay prohibitive and we lost our room fee.

Tenant doing a brake job in parking lot. Owner of establishment charged our credit card the moment we booked the room, not when we arrived 6 weeks later. Breakfast accommodations were poor. Out of coffee for about 15 minutes . Food was barely edible.
