The location of this hotel is simply spectacular. Nestled at the foot of the mountains with breathtaking views of the ocean, the setting is absolutely stunning. Waking up to such a panorama is truly a privilege, and without a doubt, this is the hotel’s only strong point. Unfortunately, everything else falls far short. For an average rate of over €275 per night, you expect at least a basic level of service — which is absolutely not the case here. The services are practically nonexistent, and the overall organization is seriously lacking. In Brazil, where temperatures are high, the drinking water supply was not working, which is simply unacceptable. The showers, including the outdoor showers, had a strong sewage smell. In the room, several electrical outlets were not working, which was particularly inconvenient. Housekeeping clearly left much to be desired, with an overall feeling of neglect. The sheets were not changed for four days, even though the hotel states they are changed every three days. The rooms are very basic, poorly maintained, with unattractive linens and a generally disappointing level of finish. Breakfast was also very disappointing: limited selection, poor quality, and absolutely not in line with the price charged. In summary: an exceptional setting, but a level of service completely unworthy of the price. It is extremely disappointing to pay such a high rate for such poor standards. We do not recommend this hotel despite the beauty of the location.

P1 made for an amazing frame for our stay. The view was amazeing, staff were pleasant, the room clean the bed comfertable. It is possible to walk in to the town, meeting small beaches on the way, wear shoes that can get wet. We loved our stay and will be back - thank you Asalem for 5 wonderfull nights (and splendid drinks!).

Wifi doesnt work in the room A/C barely works in the room Frequent power outages and wifi outages on the premises - the hotel will blame the island for this, but there seemed to be no issues when we visited the main pier They will charge you for EVERYTHING: - umbrellas - ponchos - taxi boat to and from the main pier (you cannot easily walk there as it is flooded) The list goes on this is just what i vividly recall. We paid more for this hotel than a 5* luxury in Party. If i could re book my honeymoon i would jurt have gone to Paraty for longer. The only reason this is not 1* is because the manager we spoke to was good. That aside, if you are looking for a romantic getaway this is NOT your place. manager was good and the room

The scenery is unmatched. The accommodation provides privacy and a quiet space. Every morning, I looked forward to waking up so that I could eat their amazing breakfast; everything was fresh: the fruits, the juices, etc. The majority of the staff were friendly and helpful. My only criticism is that the wifi did not reach our room. When we wanted to use the wifi, we would have to leave the room in order to get any decent signal. Overall we loved our stay.
