We love AIRE spas and booked in for a 2 night stay with a spa treatment. The decor is lovely and the whole place smells nice. Staff were lovely and it’s in a great location, in walking distance of the main attractions in Almeria. Bed was massively and we slept pretty well. Our hotel booking included 1 visit to the spa thermal experience, but you need to book in advance (by email). Breakfast was okay - mainly pastries/breads and fruit with no hot options available. The pool area is fairly small, there are only 4 sun loungers (2 of which were broken so you can’t move the back into an elevated position) but the pool was nice and clean and the views were lovely. The room was large, although the layout takes a bit of getting used to as there is no privacy when you are on the shower/toilet! The walls of the toilet could have done with a scrub as I could see lots of stains/limescale marks. There were an overwhelming number of light switches, it took us a long time each night to get all the lights switched off as they had to be switched on/off in a specific order. Room 107 was a little loud as it is located over some steps which lead into the courtyard and voices carried.

We want to start by acknowledging the efforts made by the staff and management of the hotel. Despite everything they were very professional and courteous. However we will not be returning nor recommend this hotel and here's why: Location: The hotel is very difficult to access and there is no designated area to load/unload baggages. Parking: This hotel has no parking. Instead you are invited to use a parking the next block that is expensive and not trivially accessible. Rooms: We had two rooms during our stay. The first one was not properly cleaned, and had a strong sewer smell. It was also very noisy. The second was cleaner and slightly better, but the bathroom door was glass which made privacy a challenge. Beds were ok. Construction: During our stay there was construction in the square adjacent to the hotel which resulted in constent noise for the duration of our stay from early in the morning to late at night. The hotel also ran out of water for most of a day. Pool: Unfortunately we were unable to enjoy the pool at all as it was closed until late our last night. Spa: The spa was a somewhat stressful experience, which is not what one wants. The Hamam had no added sent and a constant loud water flow, smelled like wet dog. The whirlpool was lukewarm. The cold plunge and salt pool were ok. The cleaning staff started coming in half way through our session and carelessly started doing their things with no consideration for the guests. Overall a terrifible experience

The hotel was lovely. Sitting on the rooftop looking over the Plaza was stunning. Loved the swimming pool. Booked the 90 min session in the ancient baths. The flotation pool was so relaxing. A few tweaks would make this place perfect - the shower in our room leaked right down the marble steps into the bedroom leaving it quite hazardous and there was limited space to hang towels etc. Woukd return for that beautiful view!

Excellent hotel for one night stay in Almeira after landing. In Almeira airport and needing to chill before onnnward travel . Old town Almeira is very trad Spanish with some nice little tapas bars right by the hotel , the ancient cathedral and moorish fort just a short walk. Only thing that lets it down is no hotel restaurant but there is an excellent restaurant right next door , only thing that stops me giving it five stars is the breakfast which was very pricey for what you got. Very continental with no warm options not even a boiled egg which as a Brit is essential to me dso I chose not to have but as I say many small tapas bar options right next door. Roof terrace and swimming pool excellent place to chill in the evening with superb views of ancient city walls etc but a shame not a bar although the vending machine served ceveza and small bottles of wine all nicely chilled. All in all whenever flying into Almeira airport the regional hub I will stay here again. Actually spent two nights this time, on the way in and on the way out.

Roman baths and massage were excellent value for money and a thoroughly enjoyable experience! Rooms were ok and although the pool area on the roof top looked very inviting we found some of the decking and sunbeds were broken and the area generally untidy with dirty plates and food left on the tables and even a nappy ! There are bins up there but even so some people are lazy and I felt there really should be someone manning the area. No bar apart from a vending machine so basically self serve.

Hôtel confortable bien situé. Personnel de réception souriant peu compétent ne parlant pas anglais Le parking est un problème. Pas d emplacement pour décharger les valises aucune indication précise fournis par l hôtel. Nous avons stationner 5 min sur un parking de déchargement autorisé pour 30 min bilan amende de 100€ aucune aide de l hôtel … informations confuses et l hôtel ne considère pas qu il est concerné par le pb de stationnement.

Fabulous, always want to stay at Aire Hotel & Ancient Bathswhen in Almeria. The rooms are large and beds are comfortable. Perfect Small pool with nice roaftop. Very nice breakfast. And the Hammam is absolutely the best.

BEWARE: After 45 minutes trying to find this place after dark on old narrow streets we found their very small sign, but NO PLACE to unload or check in. It appeared perhaps unsafe. We called but could not understand where to find their parking and we simply gave up after learning we would have to walk a few blocks if we ever found their parking. Get there early and plan to walk if you can even find this place, but I would NOT recommend it. We gave up and stayed at HC Marriott.

Das Personal beim Frühstück hat nicht ein einziges Mal gelacht und war sehr schlecht gelaunt. Die Fugen im Badezimmer sind sehr dreckig und ecklig. Hier muss dringend eine Reparatur erfolgen. Auch der Wasserhahn ist kaputt.

Beautiful Hotel. Clean and the use of the Ancient Baths was an added experience. The staff really tried their best to service me in English. I am not fluent in Spanish. Having the bi-lingual staff added good customer service.

Das Aire Hotel liegt direkt am Plaza Vieja, unterhalb des Cerro Cristóbal. Wir hatten ein schönes Zimmer, das sauber, aber eher klein war. Das Bett dafür schön groß und sehr bequem. Das Hotel setzt auf "schickes Design", allerdings merkt man bei genauerem Hinsehen, dass hier wohl schon länger nicht investiert bzw repariert wurde. Wir hatten das Frühstück im Hotel gebucht. Es wird in Buffetform auf der Dachterrasse mit sensationellem Ausblick auf die Festung und den Cerro serviert. Die Qualität der angebotenen Speisen ist sehr gut. Leider ist das Platzangebot sehr beengt und es wird sehr "kuschelig" am Buffet. Fazit: wirklich gutes Hotel mit einer Dachterrasse mit spektakulären Ausblick fürs Frühstück und den Sundowner.

We couldn’t stand / move in the shower so had to put a towel on the floor to stop us slipping. Black stuff kept coming out of the sinks and one got blocked, but it was dealt with quickly by staff. Tiles need to be non slip. We loved the view from room 303 but sadly the noise from construction on the hill wasn’t pleasant. It is the only room with a private terrace but we spent most of our time there asking people to leave us alone. Perhaps stronger info or a small gate ? We had to leave our private space more often than we would have wished due to these visits. The staff are great and always helpful. Despite the few things we have mentioned the hotel does the job, we would defo stay again we enjoyed the square and Hotel being in a good position in town.

We love AIRE spas and booked in for a 2 night stay with a spa treatment. The decor is lovely and the whole place smells nice. Staff were lovely and it’s in a great location, in walking distance of the main attractions in Almeria. Bed was massively and we slept pretty well. Our hotel booking included 1 visit to the spa thermal experience, but you need to book in advance (by email). Breakfast was okay - mainly pastries/breads and fruit with no hot options available. The pool area is fairly small, there are only 4 sun loungers (2 of which were broken so you can’t move the back into an elevated position) but the pool was nice and clean and the views were lovely. The room was large, although the layout takes a bit of getting used to as there is no privacy when you are on the shower/toilet! The walls of the toilet could have done with a scrub as I could see lots of stains/limescale marks. There were an overwhelming number of light switches, it took us a long time each night to get all the lights switched off as they had to be switched on/off in a specific order. Room 107 was a little loud as it is located over some steps which lead into the courtyard and voices carried.

I stayed in room 203 and felt it was an example of design over function. The toilet and shower were in an opaque glass box in the room but you could still see into the shower. I was travelling alone but anyone sharing a room might not like it! Also, there was nowhere to hang longer items like a coat or a dress (the wardrobe didn’t have a long section). No full length mirror either. Nice toiletries but no tissues. “Smart” toilet like those in Japan - but I didn’t fancy trying the various options! The breakfast was lovely - lots of choice and a great view of the Alcazaba.

The hotel was lovely. Sitting on the rooftop looking over the Plaza was stunning. Loved the swimming pool. Booked the 90 min session in the ancient baths. The flotation pool was so relaxing. A few tweaks would make this place perfect - the shower in our room leaked right down the marble steps into the bedroom leaving it quite hazardous and there was limited space to hang towels etc. Woukd return for that beautiful view!

I enjoyed my stay but I almost rated the hotel a 4 due to internet service came and went. The room was a mini suite and had lots of room. I had the ability to have doors open to square although under construction. I did like how they used an old building and made it comfortable.

Cool showers for couples where you can see their head and feet showering from the bedroom. My girlfriend loved the bidet buttons/options on the toilet. Comfortable bed. Tiny room, though, with absolutely no closet to be found! Conveniently located near restaurants, cathedral, etc.

Das Aire Hotel liegt direkt am Plaza Vieja, unterhalb des Cerro Cristóbal. Wir hatten ein schönes Zimmer, das sauber, aber eher klein war. Das Bett dafür schön groß und sehr bequem. Das Hotel setzt auf "schickes Design", allerdings merkt man bei genauerem Hinsehen, dass hier wohl schon länger nicht investiert bzw repariert wurde. Wir hatten das Frühstück im Hotel gebucht. Es wird in Buffetform auf der Dachterrasse mit sensationellem Ausblick auf die Festung und den Cerro serviert. Die Qualität der angebotenen Speisen ist sehr gut. It's a nice hotel, but it's very dark in tge corrodoors and in our room which had a window, no balcony and the wi diw was largely blocked br stone columns. The city center public spaces are all being redone ans this includes the square in front of and access to the hotel. This was not explained before booking. Very poor in tetms of trust and relationship. Is this the hotels fault or Expedia's?Take your choice. Some fixtures flooring and accessories aer a bit loose and creeky. The toilet are is a bit lacking in privacy and the shower puts you on display from the bed, if you like that sort of thing.

Check in was terrible- the lady could not find 1 of the bookings and was quite short in her tone- it was embarrassing as i had 2 clients with me- not acceptable- also i no its not guaranteed as a VIP member - but never get a room upgrade and the room given the last 2 visits tiny- its a shame because it could be a great place

Een prachtig boutiquehotel met een dakterras waarop het ontbijt wordt geserveerd. Je verblijft midden in het centrum op een historisch plein. Vanaf het dakterras heb je uitzicht op het fort en de sterren. We hebben er in de avond op een ligbed aan het zwembadje gelegen, een glas wijn in de hand. De medewerkers zijn supervriendelijk. De juniorsuite was prachtig! Dit hotel is een aanrader!

Hôtel confortable bien situé. Personnel de réception souriant peu compétent ne parlant pas anglais Le parking est un problème. Pas d emplacement pour décharger les valises aucune indication précise fournis par l hôtel. Nous avons stationner 5 min sur un parking de déchargement autorisé pour 30 min bilan amende de 100€ aucune aide de l hôtel … informations confuses et l hôtel ne considère pas qu il est concerné par le pb de stationnement.

Twice we were accused of not having paid. First was on arrival, but the young lady was very apologetic when she realized her mistake. On check out we were accused of not having paid for our spa treatment . This lady didn’t seem to be bothered by her mistake even when we showed her our recite.We had paid for breakfast which was not good. Next time we will go else where. Just not worth what we had to pay. Our suite was lovely and over looked the Sq.

The hotel staff were completely unhelpful to the point we felt unwelcome. Aire corporate should be quite concerned that their brand is being damaged by the staff at this location. Currently it’s a 1 star staff masquerading at a 4 star hotel. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Driving and parking in this part of town is an absolute nightmare and once you get to the property, the staff acts as if you’re intruding on them.

We want to start by acknowledging the efforts made by the staff and management of the hotel. Despite everything they were very professional and courteous. However we will not be returning nor recommend this hotel and here's why: Location: The hotel is very difficult to access and there is no designated area to load/unload baggages. Parking: This hotel has no parking. Instead you are invited to use a parking the next block that is expensive and not trivially accessible. Rooms: We had two rooms during our stay. The first one was not properly cleaned, and had a strong sewer smell. It was also very noisy. The second was cleaner and slightly better, but the bathroom door was glass which made privacy a challenge. Beds were ok. Construction: During our stay there was construction in the square adjacent to the hotel which resulted in constent noise for the duration of our stay from early in the morning to late at night. The hotel also ran out of water for most of a day. Pool: Unfortunately we were unable to enjoy the pool at all as it was closed until late our last night. Spa: The spa was a somewhat stressful experience, which is not what one wants. The Hamam had no added sent and a constant loud water flow, smelled like wet dog. The whirlpool was lukewarm. The cold plunge and salt pool were ok. The cleaning staff started coming in half way through our session and carelessly started doing their things with no consideration for the guests. Overall a terrifible experience

Excellent hotel for one night stay in Almeira after landing. In Almeira airport and needing to chill before onnnward travel . Old town Almeira is very trad Spanish with some nice little tapas bars right by the hotel , the ancient cathedral and moorish fort just a short walk. Only thing that lets it down is no hotel restaurant but there is an excellent restaurant right next door , only thing that stops me giving it five stars is the breakfast which was very pricey for what you got. Very continental with no warm options not even a boiled egg which as a Brit is essential to me dso I chose not to have but as I say many small tapas bar options right next door. Roof terrace and swimming pool excellent place to chill in the evening with superb views of ancient city walls etc but a shame not a bar although the vending machine served ceveza and small bottles of wine all nicely chilled. All in all whenever flying into Almeira airport the regional hub I will stay here again. Actually spent two nights this time, on the way in and on the way out.

A beautiful hotel with fabulous views of the hills and the Alcazabar from the breakfast terrace. Right in the heart of the old town . There’s a beautiful square outside which is currently being renovated so best ask the hotel when works will finish if that is likely to disturb your stay

Short but lovely stay at Aire Hotel in Almería. Perfect location, cafes, shops and restaurants at your doorstep. Quiet, clean and comfortable after a long day of driving :-)

BEWARE: After 45 minutes trying to find this place after dark on old narrow streets we found their very small sign, but NO PLACE to unload or check in. It appeared perhaps unsafe. We called but could not understand where to find their parking and we simply gave up after learning we would have to walk a few blocks if we ever found their parking. Get there early and plan to walk if you can even find this place, but I would NOT recommend it. We gave up and stayed at HC Marriott.

It's a nice hotel, but it's very dark in tge corrodoors and in our room which had a window, no balcony and the wi diw was largely blocked br stone columns. The city center public spaces are all being redone ans this includes the square in front of and access to the hotel. This was not explained before booking. Very poor in tetms of trust and relationship. Is this the hotels fault or Expedia's?Take your choice. Some fixtures flooring and accessories aer a bit loose and creeky. The toilet are is a bit lacking in privacy and the shower puts you on display from the bed, if you like that sort of thing.

We love AIRE spas and booked in for a 2 night stay with a spa treatment. The decor is lovely and the whole place smells nice. Staff were lovely and it’s in a great location, in walking distance of the main attractions in Almeria. Bed was massively and we slept pretty well. Our hotel booking included 1 visit to the spa thermal experience, but you need to book in advance (by email). Breakfast was okay - mainly pastries/breads and fruit with no hot options available. The pool area is fairly small, there are only 4 sun loungers (2 of which were broken so you can’t move the back into an elevated position) but the pool was nice and clean and the views were lovely. The room was large, although the layout takes a bit of getting used to as there is no privacy when you are on the shower/toilet! The walls of the toilet could have done with a scrub as I could see lots of stains/limescale marks. There were an overwhelming number of light switches, it took us a long time each night to get all the lights switched off as they had to be switched on/off in a specific order. Room 107 was a little loud as it is located over some steps which lead into the courtyard and voices carried.

This hotel is in an excellent location in town and must have the best breakfast area with great views on the roofterrace. Very tranquil and with ease walking distance to everything you need.

Todo excelente. Solo como sugerencia de mejora, el bacon del desayuno es mejor que esté seco a flotando en un líquido viscoso. Y en lugar de la tortilla una opción de huevos revueltos.

Excellent hotel for one night stay in Almeira after landing. In Almeira airport and needing to chill before onnnward travel . Old town Almeira is very trad Spanish with some nice little tapas bars right by the hotel , the ancient cathedral and moorish fort just a short walk. Only thing that lets it down is no hotel restaurant but there is an excellent restaurant right next door , only thing that stops me giving it five stars is the breakfast which was very pricey for what you got. Very continental with no warm options not even a boiled egg which as a Brit is essential to me dso I chose not to have but as I say many small tapas bar options right next door. Roof terrace and swimming pool excellent place to chill in the evening with superb views of ancient city walls etc but a shame not a bar although the vending machine served ceveza and small bottles of wine all nicely chilled. All in all whenever flying into Almeira airport the regional hub I will stay here again. Actually spent two nights this time, on the way in and on the way out.

Das Aire Hotel liegt direkt am Plaza Vieja, unterhalb des Cerro Cristóbal. Wir hatten ein schönes Zimmer, das sauber, aber eher klein war. Das Bett dafür schön groß und sehr bequem. Das Hotel setzt auf "schickes Design", allerdings merkt man bei genauerem Hinsehen, dass hier wohl schon länger nicht investiert bzw repariert wurde. Wir hatten das Frühstück im Hotel gebucht. Es wird in Buffetform auf der Dachterrasse mit sensationellem Ausblick auf die Festung und den Cerro serviert. Die Qualität der angebotenen Speisen ist sehr gut. Leider ist das Platzangebot sehr beengt und es wird sehr "kuschelig" am Buffet. Fazit: wirklich gutes Hotel mit einer Dachterrasse mit spektakulären Ausblick fürs Frühstück und den Sundowner.

We were pleased with the hotel’s location and the service from the staff, who were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. However, the room itself was disappointing, in terms of privacy and sound insulation. The bathroom was completely open to the room, with no walls separating it from the sleeping area. The noise level was also a problem. The elevator was so loud that it felt as though it were operating directly inside the room. We actually had to buy earplugs just to get some sleep. The Wi-Fi was another issue. None of our iPhones could detect or connect to the hotel’s Wi-Fi, so we had to use mobile data and rely on roaming through our own phone service plans. For these reasons, we would not choose this hotel again. As for Almería in general we respect the siesta tradition, but the long period during which many places are closed—roughly from 14:00 to 20:30—may put off other travellers.

Beautiful hotel! My junior suite had an upstairs living room, a small balcony, and offered a wonderful view of the City Hall, and the Alcazaba. The staff was very helpful. The complimentary cava and chocolates on arrival was a very nice touch.
