Magnuson Hotel Marietta

This property looked ok upon arrival but our room (209) was the filthiest room we have ever encountered. Immediately upon entry we found live baby roaches by the TV. The walls had unknown substances splattered in several places, the bed sheet had what looked like blood stains, there was mold in the shower…even the TV screen was absolutely filthy. We did not stay and have yet to receive a response from the property on refunding our money. We chose the property based on several good reviews in recent months thinking maybe they were under new management and cleaned up. Clearly those reviews are very inaccurate.

This was my last minute choice after being disappointed by my original reservation. Roaches bugs & everything in the room looked dirty & pretty scary to even use.

Stayed 4 nights, got eaten alive by bed bugs. I stayed previously in a non smoking room which was much cleaner. So warning only book non smoking.

It was quite. The room smelled really bad. Housekeeping only took thrash and asked if we needed towels. Bathroom needs to be renovate

Cleanness was terrible. The room as smelling like marihuana, the carpet was dirty and the bed sheets were stained

When we first drove up you couldn’t even go in the lobby, you had to stand outside and talk through a window. We went to our room and it smelled like cigarette smoke, we requested a non smoking room. We were running late to attend The Rolling Stones Concert in Atlanta so we hurried up and changed our clothes. But we put everything back in our car, and went to the concert. After the concert we came back to the room and there were small bugs (nats) flying around the room. My husband found a rotten avocado in a cabinet. I opened a drawer and roaches were running. We checked the bed for bed bugs and found none. There were cigarette burns on the comforter and sheets. We only had 1 towel to use. There was no security lock inside our room on our door, just the door lock. So we put furniture in front of our door. It was horrible. There was no other rooms available. No other rooms available at other motels. It was already paid for and for 1 night. I slept with my clothes on, in case someone tried to come in. People were outside our room all night. In the morning my husband talked to the manager and he couldn’t do anything since we booked through a third party. I just want Expedite to please take them off their list so someone doesn’t book a night with them.

106 is horrible has roaches , any other room I’ve been in, it’s been ok, first and worst experience

It took hours just for the room to cool down. By the time it cooled down it was already time for us to leave. The room itself needs a lot of work, bathroom was nasty with pubic hais on the tissue. I would not return

It was gross. Roaches were crawling on the nightstand and in the bathroom floor. Since I had to pay their rent, I should have been told there were other tenants.

The property was in a good area. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. However, the room needs much improvements and there were roaches in the bathroom.

Fabulous staff. My room was very comfortable. Hot shower, cold A/C, great mattress. Will definitely stay again.

Decent stay

My over all experience of my stay at Magnuson Hotel was Great!.The Desk clerk was Friendly,welcoming and accommodating in doing his job. I Really appreciated it after a rough day at work.I got to my room It was clean and spacious. I put my things down and went and showered.Afterwards I got comfortable on top of the bed.I've included pics, I Highly-recommend it for a nice weekend stay.

First day I arrived I scanned the room for any bugs, unfortunately for me there was one single roach, laying upside down in the tub. The carpeting is vintage, but relatively clean, the bed was actually very comfortable and a good place to sleep. The tv had limited selection, cable only, not a smart tv but had impractical jokers so I was good. I was travelling from another country so I was worried that the vehicle I had would get broken into at night, however everyone there was very respectful. One issue I did have was that the bathroom entrance didn't connect with the carpet, and so there was around an inch or 2 of carpet wiring sticking out near the bathroom entrance, dangerous as someone could really cut their feet open there. They did daily housekeeping to keep the room feeling fresh, and in my week of staying I only found one other bug inside the room. Overall a pretty decent stay for what I paid, but don't expect this place to be perfect or a diamond in the rough. It is what it is.

Always a pleasant and quick check in. Regardless who is behind the desk they are amazing. From hoysekeeping to laundry, your necer disappointed. This is a great place to rest. Front desk 10 stars...
