This was a good property for us. Close enough to walk to the city center but not in the heart so a little less noisy perhaps. One busy street along the hotel but not bad after say 11 pm. We dined here and it was excellent. The dining staff was particularly friendly and really made our anniversary dinner special. We would stay at this hotel again.

It’s only about 2 blocks from downtown, which is really nice! It was a very easy check in, they do need your passport number if you’re checking in, but that’s easy. The bar in the lobby is very nice great selection!

the hotel was very nice. Very modern, decorated lobby with lots of seating. Bar was nice as well. Room was very nice, we had a couch that we could use to put our luggage on. Very quiet. I like when the sink is outside of the toilet area so two people can get ready more easily. The shower area and toilet area was very small and it was easy for the water from the shower to get over by the toilet and there was no drain on that side

Lovely hotel, not too far from the centre. Opposite a nice outdoor pool with a sauna and hot tubs etc. Rooms a nice size, comfortable beds, friendly staff, good breakfast.

The first-floor room had large windows, which was a weird. However, the shower and bathroom were unclean and unsanitary. The staff were unhelpful, with long wait times. The bed was uncomfortable, and the overall cleanliness of the room and amenities left much to be desired. On the positive side, the hotel offers great parking.

We loved this spot and the whole town! Such an inviting little community and the botanical garden was only minutes away! The hotel was so clean and staff were amazing! Would highly recommend!

Great property, very clean, excellent bar and great location as well. But a bit pricey. We got a noisy room along the road and cars revving their engines late in the night was not exactly pleasant.

Free parking outside hotel. Hotel is about 10 mins walk to main street in town where there are numerous restaurants so didn’t eat dinner there. It's also about 10 mins walk from the Botanical Gardens. Our room was on the side facing one of the roads and we could hear noisy bikes and boy racers in their cars until very late at night but thankfully quiet in early Saturday morning. The room is spacious and was clean with comfortable beds. The black out curtains fill the windows, though light inevitably comes in under window level as the curtains do not come down to floor level. The design is a bit weird in that above the bed is a shelving unit, fixed at a height that makes it difficult to sit up in bed. A partition wall behind the pillow end of the bed has doorways either side of the bed with the washbasin/wc (with a sliding glass door) on one side and a shower enclosure with curtain at the other. The consequence is that the room becomes humid when someone showers unless you open the windows as the extractor is ineffective. Breakfast had a reasonable range of items and levels were stocked up.

Staff are friendly. Breakfast is great. Close to town center so many dining options. Town is very scenic. Guest can sign up to receive Aurora call if they spot one. Room is a bit small though, and only one lift for a hotel with many rooms.

Beautiful view of snow capped mountains. Nice hotel. Our room was a bit odd with the bathroom split and very near the bed of the bed. Couch was a bit aged and dirty. Chairs were a bit aged. No prepared coffee in the lobby. Nice water bottle filling station in the lobby. Walk to downtown was nice past swimming lol, church and museum. Only a few blocks down hill and of course uphill on the way back. Lovely restaurants, shops, and bakery. Back packers Bar and Stykid were highlights. Very nice little town.

No complaints about staying here. It was a great hotel. My one issue is that they don’t have blackout curtains that work. They’re short and allow a lot of light in, which is really unfortunate if you’re staying during the midnight sun when the sun never sets.

I stayed at the hotel for a few days after being released from the hospital after surgery on a broken ankle. I stayed while waiting for my travel insurance to arrange transportation back home in the United States. The staff were all so nice and helpful since it was not easy for me to get around. Someone was always willing to help me fix a plate at breakfast since I was using a walker and could not carry anything. And they did it with a smile!

I've been driving the ring road for 12 days. This hotels staff exceeded my expectations ! They were all so friendly and helpful! I would def stay here again based on the staff. The location was good too. Just a walk and a hill from the main area. It is right across from the community pool as well with 3 water slides and a park.

Our experience was a little unusual from the beginning, but they took good care of us. When we first checked in and went up to our room, the room hadn't been cleaned from the previous guest. We went back down the front desk, and they went up to investigate on their own. They came back down and immediately moved us to an upgraded room. Unfortunately, because of the extended daylight hours in late May and strong sun, our room was at least 80 degrees and the room did not cool down with the small window openings. As both of us were dangerously warm, we asked to be moved to the other side of the building. They were very accommodating and let us move to the other side of the hall. It was still warm, but much more comfortable. That said, we had a great experience with the staff throughout, the restaurant on site was very good, and the breakfast had a variety of options. The hotel is also conveniently located to a lot of grocery stores, gas stations, and dining options.

Difficult check-in as it took a long time to locate our booking. Room was rather spartan with some noise from the street. Most of the English language TV channels did not work. Breakfast is extremely expensive with a very limited selection of hot food.

The room is spacious and was clean with comfortable beds. The black out curtains fill the windows, though light inevitably comes in under window level as the curtains do not come down to floor level. The design is a bit weird in that above the bed is a shelving unit, fixed at a height that makes it difficult to sit up in bed. A partition wall behind the pillow end of the bed has doorways either side of the bed with the washbasin/wc (with a sliding glass door) on one side and a shower enclosure with curtain at the other. The consequence is that the room becomes humid when someone showers unless you open the windows as the extractor is ineffective. Breakfast had a reasonable range of items and levels were stocked up.

Free parking outside hotel. Hotel is about 10 mins walk to main street in town where there are numerous restaurants so didn’t eat dinner there. It's also about 10 mins walk from the Botanical Gardens. Our room was on the side facing one of the roads and we could hear noisy bikes and boy racers in their cars until very late at night but thankfully quiet in early Saturday morning. It’s only about 2 blocks from downtown, which is really nice! It was a very easy check in, they do need your passport number if you’re checking in, but that’s easy. The bar in the lobby is very nice great selection!

Beautiful view of snow capped mountains. Nice hotel. Our room was a bit odd with the bathroom split and very near the bed of the bed. Couch was a bit aged and dirty. Chairs were a bit aged. No prepared coffee in the lobby. Nice water bottle filling station in the lobby. Walk to downtown was nice past swimming lol, church and museum. Only a few blocks down hill and of course uphill on the way back. Lovely restaurants, shops, and bakery. Back packers Bar and Stykid were highlights. Very nice little town.

This was a good property for us. Close enough to walk to the city center but not in the heart so a little less noisy perhaps. One busy street along the hotel but not bad after say 11 pm. We dined here and it was excellent. The dining staff was particularly friendly and really made our anniversary dinner special. We would stay at this hotel again.

Too short/small duvets and towels. Breakfast was probably one of the worst I have had in any hotel. Luckily I had time to go to the lounge and had proper breakfast there.

Fairly decent hotel in a small town in the North. The lobby was nice and restaurant fairly decent. Not many vegan/vegetarian options and the seafood pasta was strange. Good place for steak or a burger. Maybe fish. Hotel room was very average, almost like a dorm room

Difficult check-in as it took a long time to locate our booking. Room was rather spartan with some noise from the street. Most of the English language TV channels did not work. Breakfast is extremely expensive with a very limited selection of hot food.

Title: Extremely Disappointing Stay – Misleading Photos and a Flooded Room I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was unacceptable from beginning to end. First, the photos on Hotels.com were completely misleading. The main photo appeared to show a charming building, but it was actually a picture of the restaurant from the back. The hotel itself was just a large, plain white building that looked nothing like what was advertised. It felt very deceptive. The room was also extremely outdated. The television was an old-fashioned model with only two or three channels. There was no cable or satellite service, no smart TV, and no way to access Netflix or other streaming services. For a hotel in 2026, this was disappointing. But the worst part of our stay was the bathroom. While showering, the showerhead actually flew off and nearly injured my friend! To make matters worse, the shower did not drain properly, causing water to flood out of the bathroom and into the main room. The water spread across the floor and saturated BOTH of our suitcases and belongings. It was an absolute mess! To her credit, the woman at the front desk was helpful and brought us approximately 20–30 towels to try to clean up the water. She also offered to move us to another room. However, the flooring already showed significant signs of previous water damage, making us question whether this was an ongoing problem that management had failed to address.

Lite imøtekommende dame i resepsjonen. Fin beliggenhet, rene og fine rom. Kan være ubehagelig om man deler rom med noen man ikke er komfortabel med, da dusjen er åpen og det er glassdør inn til toalettet. Ble også belastet to ulike beløp, hvor jeg ikke vet hva det ene er. Første dag (ved innsjekking) betalte jeg for taxes, som forklart at de er pålagt. Men jeg ble også trekt et beløp dagen etter på noe jeg ikke vet hva er.

O quarto era grande mas com uma quantidade exagerada de móveis, dificultando espaço para abrir as malas e perdendo o benefício do tamanho do quarto. O banheiro era estranho, com uma porta de vidro que vedava pouco o vaso sanitário, que ficava na mesma parede da cama. Os móveis são bem antigos. Por fim, a localização é boa pra quem está de carro, mas ficar mais próximo do centro parece ser melhor pra andar a pé, especialmente pelas ladeiras da cidade

O quarto era grande mas com uma quantidade exagerada de móveis, dificultando espaço para abrir as malas e perdendo o benefício do tamanho do quarto. O banheiro era estranho, com uma porta de vidro que vedava pouco o vaso sanitário, que ficava na mesma parede da cama. Os móveis são bem antigos. Por fim, a localização é boa pra quem está de carro, mas ficar mais próximo do centro parece ser melhor pra andar a pé, especialmente pelas ladeiras da cidade
