Tv didn’t work and the parking was very limited

Office smells like curry, horrible parking, unfriendly person at counter, junk and trash against building, sidewalks dirty, food left in microwave, washcloths stained, had my own pillow thank goodness.

Wow, this was an unassuming but excellent stay. The beds were comfortable and they only charge $10 per night for pets. Thank you for a restful night of sleep!

Deadbolt didn’t work. Heater sounded like a jet engine. Bed very squishy and pillows too stiff. Parking ok. Checkin ok. Manager had little English.

The property is very small therefore the parking is a little cramped. But overall my stay was good, everything is clean and staff is friendly. Pet Friendly is a plus for me too.

Tight parking lot

Looks like this place in the process of being renovated. Front desk was friendly and prompt, smelled of spicy curry (yum for me), and had second use as a storage space. Fresh paint, new flooring and fixtures, with old wall A/C (kind of noisy but worked). Various things stored outside of the hotel (old microwaves and A/C and desks), but were not in the way Signs said all rooms were non-smoking but ours smelled like a chain smoker had been living in it for a few years. Stale smoke that doesn't get out of the walls with new paint unless you redo the drywall and ceiling. The rest of the room was pretty clean, with exception to the fan in the bath room. Plenty of outlets and USB ports, but no place to hang clothes. Only one bath towel, but didn't notice until the morning, prob could have gotten more. No garbage can, but there was a plastic bag for trash. Fridge was a good size (small not mini). TV and microwave looked in good shape, although we didn't use them. The bed and pillows were fantastic. I slept for 11 hours, and my wife thought they were great as well. Hard floors were clean, but our dog prob missed his bed that we left in the truck. Overall a great stay for the price, and only $20 for the pet fee. Central Bishop location and easy to get in and out of.

The thunderbird is a work in progress. Will be fabulous when completed. The location is priceless. Off the main road. The room is super clean and large. The covers are way too heavy for summer but perfect for winter. Bath soap be nice. The shades are total blackout / perfect, every hotel should have them. Within walking to everything. Good stay.

This was a bad stay overall. The room was in very poor condition — the cable box was hanging from the TV, there were stains on the towels, ants crawling everywhere, and crusted candy stuck to the comforter. The outside of the property was also in very bad shape. I definitely would not stay here again.

Clean and great service.

The room was small and very dated. The TV was very dark and very hard to watch. The hair dryer was pulled out of the wall and was laying on the counter. The shower drain was clogged and the tub filled up while showering. Overall, the room was not maintained and it made the stay disappointing. This is the first time I’ve ever given a bad review but I feel it needed to be put out there.

Affordable. Comfortable. Convenient. Nice staff. My only complaint was my room had a noisy, very loud heater that cycled every 4 minutes. For the money, a great motel for a good place to crash.

The place was clean but spartan. No bar soap just liquid soap in a container attached to the wall. The lights from the parking lot shine into the room even with the shade. Need black out curtains. It served the purpose but nothing memorable.

Most important: The room was clean including the bathroom, floor and beds. The queen bed's comfort was OK for one person but it would suck if there were 2 people on it. The sheets were not soft and the top blanket was a throw back to the late 80's but kept me warm. Walls are thin so you can hear a lot from the adjoining rooms but the place was quiet after 9pm. If you are looking for cheap (under $100) and staying 1-2 nights it's not horrible. I have stayed in worse and paid more. If you are in the area for longer and desire more comfortable amenities you have a lot more options in the area.

Pleasantly surprised by their prices and how quiet everything was overnight. AC, WiFi, Dish Network all worked with perfection and had no issues. The water pressure was excellent however, the water drained very slow in the shower I just didn’t feel like calling the front office for that. I would definitely recommend them and would stay there again.

Friendly staff. Comfortable beds. Could use a more thorough cleaning. Laundry facilities close by.

OLd motel with cool neon sign. Friendly and helpful owner. Old motel, but it looks like they are steadily improving it.

After 5 days in the backcountry this was just what I needed. Comfy bed, (2 pillow options for softness). Had fridge and microwave which I didn't need or use but was nice to have for some folks. Soap in dispensers was great. No shampoos which was ok because I'd brought my own, but just need to know in advance. I had flown into Bishop airport so originally picked this motel for the free airport shuttle. I had a friend pick me up but needed a ride back to the airport which was supplied for me with no hassle and greatly appreciated. Since I didn't have a car it was also nice to have various food options within walking distance as the Main Street/ hwy 395 was just 1/2 block away.
