We really loved our room with the jacuzzi tub & fireplace. It was clean, large, and comfortable. The balcony was overlooking the ocean on the 2nd floor and we had the door open so we could hear and see the ocean. There is no elevator, so that’s hard for people with a disability, but they do have downstairs rooms for those that need it. Overall, it was a very nice stay & we would definitely stay there again.

Walk from the property to the ocean. Right on the walkimg trail to get to glass beach, noyo headlands. Great views from the room and balcony. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Fireplace was easy to use, provided heat when we needed it, flame brightness was adjustable and different back lights available (we were there on St Patricks day, so used the green back light that day) The jettted tub was very relaxing. Overall a very nice stay and we will definitely stay here again

Stayed there for a wedding. Room is spacious but definitely worn. Nice balcony. The weather was warm and humid and there was no fan or ac or windows that open, so it was quite uncomfortable in the room. We left the balcony door open the entire time we were in the room. Ok for a quick stay, priced high for what you get.

Every room has a beautiful ocean view & a balcony. We were on the second floor and it was great to leave our door open all night and listen to the waves, (there was a screen to keep out bugs). While the bathroom was a little outdated, it was large and the shower was great. There’s no maid service, which we were fine with. If we needed more coffee or towels, we just walked across the parking lot to the front desk and they happily took care of us. there is no elevator so if you have mobility issues, be sure to request a room on the first floor. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the comfortable chairs every day we were there. There’s plenty of walking trails along the ocean and I, at 66 yrs old, had no issues walking a fairly steep trail down to the beach. We will definitely stay here again.

very quiet and private - room layout was amazing with multiple levels, giant bathroom (shower was a little small) big electric fireplace, spacious, good working hot tub. amazing view of ocean from patio! nice trail walks everywhere! very close to glass beach!

Nice room, and i would have enjoyed it more, except for the many water ants that crawled up on the nightstand overnight and infested my CPAP ("sleep machine")! Had to spend 45 minutes cleaning them out of my CPAP and bag.

Clean room but very outdated. Pink bathtub, red carpet, bad repair in the bathroom ceiling and no USB ports to charge phones. Check in lady was very friendly even upgraded our room. When I checked out I told the attendant that the tub drained slow but he didn’t seem to care. But it just was an overnight stay so it was ok

Beautiful property, clean room, and bed was comfortable. Rooms need updating but still are nice. View is amazing, right on the ocean. My only complaint was the tv channels. We did have ants visit our room and got into some food we brought, but it was raining, might be why they came in.

Spacious room with beautiful views!! The room was spotless and the king bed was inviting. The huge picture window was absolutely breathtaking with perfect views of the ocean. The sunset directly in front of us. It was so beautiful and comfortable, we ordered take out and had dinner with a view from our comfortable room. I would highly recommend this quaint lodge by the ocean!

We really enjoyed our stay. The only reason we gave it 4 instead of 5 is because the towels were very dingy looking they were clean, but they could be bleached. And the coffee Maker stopped working when we tried to make coffee before we left.

Hot tub did not work sheets were dirty. Had to ask for new ones. Shower was too small, not enough water Pressure. and Mattress was no good told the front desk and he said all of their mattresses are the same but the scenery was amazing.

The property was nice and clean, and we love the proximity to the ocean, which is our main reason for going. We've stayed at Ocean View Lodge at least seven times. The only dislike I have is the upgraded furniture in the room, it's not appealing and the beds are not comfortable.

Property was right on the ocean with an easy to walk path right outside our room. Weather was also very nice, thankfully. Room furniture could use an update. Looks like it came out of the 70"s. I guess if you like the style it is fine. Everything was in good condition, but not what we were expecting.

A nice room, but it could be nicer. It felt like 3rd generational owners who don't care any more. What's good. Amazing view inside the room and outside on the balacony. Jetted Soaker tub was good. Robes were good. What's not. Cheap shower curtain instead of a door looked bad and let water on the floor. More towels would have been nice. No daily housekeeping isn't a big deal, but just feels cheap. The mattress was ok for me but not my wife. Hard and worn. The pillows were bad. Hard and no give. The furniture is old and gawdy. Not a big deal for me, but could be for others. A little clean up outside and a little modernization inside would go a long way. If shower door was fixed, things a little cleaner, and if things didn't feel 40 years old, this would have been 5 stars for me. 1 other point. Picture of the facilities shows an electric charging port for EVs. That charging port is no longer there. Would be nice if old photos were removed so people didn't have false expectations

It was awesome but i suggest getting a top room. Our last night there was sleepless with the people above making so much noise. Sounded like they were jumping off the bed 🙄

Property assigned us to a first floor room, which was fine for first night. Nights 2,3,4 management assigned room above to a herd of antsy elephants. Reported noise to Office & was told all rooms are booked & that new carpets had been installed- resulting in elephant cacophony. Apparently, the thing to do is to request a 2nd Floor room!

Beautiful view. Good service and room was clean. The room itself is outdated and the bed is very uncomfortable. Not sure why they still have round beds-it is not a real matress and the sheets were for rectangle beds and didn't stay on. The shape of the bed made it very small and too short for anyone over 5'10".

Everything was quick and easy, The room definitely had character! It was nice and clean and large, but my boyfriend and I cracked up and we came in and saw the elaborate headboard and ”royalty vibe" furniture. It's a room I won't soon forget, I loved that it was unique. Gorgeous views upon waking. I'd stay again. If I had one complaint I'd say the pillows were very very firm. I do prefer different firmness levels of pillows so that you can find one you like.

We have been coming here for years. It's been renovated which is wonderful, but the bed is not great. I don't think they replaced the mattresses. Otherwise, I would give a 5 star.

Got locked out of the Hotel, got a new key from the front desk, it didn’t work. After 20 minutes of watching them try to manually open the door it was finally opened. Maintenance had to come into the room later to change the battery on the lock. Fantastic location terrible customer service

Room was clean and lovely.Amazing view! Bed was very comfortable. I had the room with the jetted tub and it was terrific. The room had a Keurig with coffee and everything which was great. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to go back!

Amazing views! Enjoyed Jacuzzi and sunset. But thats about it. Property itself is dated and desperately needs renovation. Entire room smelt like Bleach. No A/C but we kept balcony opened whole night so were saved. Housekeeping is suspended so you need to bring what you need from the office. The rating is only for the views.

The location is lovely; ocean front with a nice balcony to enjoy the view. Everything else was way below expectations. We arrived at 9:30 pm and there was no one at the reception; they just left the keys and an emergency number to call. The shower in one of the rooms didn’t work; the room’s décor was so excessively golden and overdone that I wondered if at some point it had been a love hotel, and on top of that it was already outdated. I really don’t understand how it has such a high rating.
The location is lovely; ocean front with a nice balcony to enjoy the view. Everything else was way below expectations. We arrived at 9:30 pm and there was no one at the reception; they just left the keys and an emergency number to call. The shower in one of the rooms didn’t work; the room’s décor was so excessively golden and overdone that I wondered if at some point it had been a love hotel, and on top of that it was already outdated. I really don’t understand how it has such a high rating.

Beautiful room. Unfortunately there was no housekeeping. Had to ask for towels and bring dirty towels to them. But all n all. It was beautiful scenery. Would book again.

This property is a great value. Located right next to the beach with lots of walking trails, scenic cliffs and tide pools to explore. The room was clean and checkin was easy. Being able to sit in our room or on our deck with the two supplied chairs and watch the sunset was amazing

The view of the ocean was incredible from our balcony. We were able to walk to glass beach and to any number of areas along the ocean from the hotel. It was a very close drive to the harbor where we had excellent seafood.

Motel style property and the room was setup with style and comfort in mind. The location was perfect 5 minutes walk to the beach and a 5 minute drive to the downtown shops and restaurants. Friendly people throughout the town. Will visit again!

Great location! Next to coastal path that you can take 3 miles north to sand dunes or south into town. Place is a bit dated, but inexpensive for huge room and right on ocean bluff.

Nice place. Small and away from the main town, so quiet too. Rooms are spacious, check in was quick. Wireless worked. Shower is a bit small, so will be inconvenient for anyone over 200 lbs. Other than that, either the place was not fully occupied or the insulation was good, but was quiet. Ask for an oceanview room, upstairs. The difference between streetview and oceanview is small in price, but the experience is that much better.

This is one of our favorite properties. It is very close to the beach and has a great view of the surf. Near two good restaurants. It is too bad that it is 2 1/2 hours drive from our house. If it were closer, we would go there often.

It was amazing. The view of the ocean from our picture window was beautiful. We had a back porch with chairs so ran to Harvest Market for charcuterie favorites and starbucks for coffee and had dinner on our back porch. A great trail takes you to Glass Beach. Next time, bringing bikes. Comfortable bed and refrigerator were great bonuses. We will be back.

Thanks! Great spot! We loved walking out on bluffs right in front of hotel. Enjoyed a nice dinner at The Wharf. We were just passing through but enjoyed the walk on sea glass beach in the morning.

We did not experience any of the negative issues mentioned by other reviews we read. The hotel is “dated” a little bit inside, but is meticulously maintained. And the staff was friendly and informative. They had a printed list of recommended restaurants that provided very useful, too. We will visit again for sure!

This was the cutest little lodge. The rooms were clean and spacious with ocean views as advertised. Check in was easy and the associate was friendly. Again rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable. There was a cute little balcony with an ocean view. There was a drop box for keys if checking out early. Also not too far back into town for food. I enjoyed my stay thoroughly and would definitely recommend! This photo was from my balcony of the sunset!!!!

The room was clean. The staff was great. The value is amazing! Gorgeous ocean view with a balcony! Walk along the bluffs or down to the beach! We chose a room with a big tub and they provided bath salts! Robes were provided. It was the perfect romantic getaway for my husband and I.
