DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Aqaba

Séjour reposant, la literie est très confortable. Le personnel de la piscine est très accueillant et serviable, la piscine quand à elle est à bonne température. Dommage nous étions deux pendant les deux jours du séjour et à chaque fois il n’y avait qu’un seul service au niveau des produits et linge d’entretien ( peignoirs, pantoufle, gel douche, rasoir … ). Cependant pour un 5 étoiles l’état des finitions dans la salle de bain n’est pas acceptable pour un 5 étoiles ( joint, bouchon des évacuations non étanches …)

Hotel bien situé près de la plage avec un chouette rooftop. Chambre un peu vieillote mais confortable

Do NOT stay at this hotel! The Doubletree by Hilton at Aqaba was a huge disappointment. I reserved a Nonsmoking King Superior Room with Sea View. The room was not Nonsmoking and the Sea View was extremely limited. I was placed in a room directly over the pool restaurant, which was full of smokers and incredibly loud. My room reeked of smoke, although smoking is banned in restaurants in Jordan. Additionally it was set far back because of the pool, which significantly impeded the Sea View. I complained to three staff members (Karmen, Abdel & Mustafa). None of them did anything to address my issues. They replied with platitudes (“We will never let this happen again”) and always closed their notes with “Let me know how I can be of further assistance” although they provided no assistance at all. On my last evening, after 5pm, the hotel manager texted to say they had a new room. I was literally packing up to leave. A feeble attempt to fix all the issues when my stay was near complete. Stay somewhere else in Aqaba! I went to dinner at the Movenpick and it was beautiful. I wish I had stayed there instead. I am a Hilton Honors member and an Expedia VIP and was treated like dirt. I wonder if this is because I was the only American staying at the hotel.
