Wonderful view from the room. I think the staff was overwhelmed the day we were there and were very brusque. Found old food in our fridge when we went to use it. Despite the motel being mostly empty when we arrived, we were placed under the stairs next to the icemaker, probably as a result of booking through a third party, but even so the season is almost over in Maine. Nice for the price.

Wonderful view, but the room and outside could use a bit more attention. Breakfast was very minimal. Glad it was only one night.

Old time hotel/motel with an absolutely stunning view. The door locks even use a real key! How quaint! Amenities-wise it's sparse, but you have a deck overlooking the Atlantic ocean, and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was simple, Cheerios, waffle, breads, bagle, fruit and coffee and juice, and is included. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel has an absolutely spectacular view of Penobscott Bay. The bed was comfortable and the room, though old, was clean enough. Unfortunately the hotel’s description states incorrectly that the hotel has a restaurant. It has a breakfast room. The owner recommended a restaurant down the road, but it was closed. We ended up at McDonald’s! The next morning, there was cold cereal and fruit on offer for breakfast, plus a waffle machine. Everything was self service. The coffee machine had a sign on it saying the regular strength coffee button didn’t work, and it definitely didn’t. We had to drink decaf. Only powdered creamer was available. When we took out the lowfat milk that had been placed in a refrigerator for use with the cereal to use for the coffee, the rather unfriendly desk attendant ( owner?) came right over to put it back. Unacceptable! So, five stars for the room, 0 stars for the service. Average 2.5, which I am rounding up to three.

This place has a great view of the bay, not much else. It seemed pretty overpriced for the amenities or lack thereof. Breakfast had not working coffee machine, two choices for cereal fruit loops and cheerios. It did have a waffle maker. There are a lot of choices in that region, another might have made more sense.
