The check in process was very easy with the staff being very courteous and helpful. While the room and property were good some aspects were a little worn. Noticeable but didn't detract from the experience at all. The helper/handyman (nickname Grumpy) was anything but. He was so helpful and friendly! He added greatly to our enjoyment of our stay. It's very handy having a lounge and restaurant on site. Would recommend and would stay again!

Great location in Savannah's historic district. Free off street parking was a plus. Restaurant downstairs is a great place for meal as well as nightcap.

Excellent location within walking distance of many of Savannah's highlights, bars & restaurants. Charming old building. For many rooms, you do have to deal with stairs, but they make that very clear when you are reserving your room.

The Inn was very nice. Parking is tight but they make it work. Excellent restaurant downstairs. The staff was very accommodating. Short walk to River street. Would definitely go back.

This B&B does not include breakfast anymore. Although there are places to get food nearby add that to the cost of your room. Building needs update. We have stayed there before and we see a difference. Excellent staff. Great bar. Wonderful restaurant.

Superb location. Convenient parking in a city where parking is a challenge. We had a beautiful spacious room with its own parlor in a historic townhouse. Our room has the original ceiling. Very friendly lovely helpful staff. It’s just missing a few nice touches that the more upscale b&bs provide - like beautiful central lobby with seating and cold drinks. The space around their lobby is taken up by the restaurant, which is also superb.

It's was a sweet, little quiet room, with a deep soaking tub. Add off Street parking and easy walking anywhere in the city and a cute little coffee shop right around the corner and it's the great place to spend your time not exploring this great city.

What a beautiful, historic property! That being said, the word “historic” is code for “no elevator”. The location is perfect, easy walking distance to all the tourist spots, and every staff member was friendly and helpful. We could not have asked for a nicer stay, and we hope to be back soon!

This was my first time staying at 17Hundred90 and it was great. The building has so much history. It is perfectly located to walk the historic district very easily. I got the last space on the hotel property and never had to move my car again. Had dinner at the restaurant and they give you two free drinks at the bar. Food was very good and the restaurant ambiance was classy but not snooty. This property is a stop on several of the walking tours around the historic district so the tavern brings in a lot of fun people getting a drink. I would love to stay here again one day!

Rm 102 was very musty, dirty and black mold in ac vent , wall above it , bathroom floor, drawer in bathroom where we found wet rag used to wash sink and molded shower mat. We bagged it up and left it for housekeeping. Moved to a room in the “ guest house” 401” which was beach themed having NOTHING to do with the Inn ambiance I had booked. And black mold met us there also and our cable and ac were shut down while we still had two nights left. Poor customer service and the management takes no responsibility in the rooms as “ We don't have time to check all the rooms !” You only have 17 in the Inn perhaps do your job as manager … poor excuse for filth and black mold in the two rooms we were given… ruined a once in a lifetime vacation!

Very cool old property near everything in Savannah. The only issue was that it is run down and our room didn't have a window (I didn't think to check the reservation, I didn't know that was a thing). The room was run down and smelly really musty.

I've stayed here before and love the hotel and its location. We came for the book festival and it was only a few blocks walking distance, which was perfect. Everything within walking distance. The neighborhood is safe and nice and quiet at night. Hotel service was excellent and a special shout out to Grumpy, who helped us with parking, gave a tour of the place, and carried our bags up two flights of stairs. The hotel's restaurant is amazing, and the bar is a great place to grab a drink and get out of the cold (or heat, depending on time of year). Only real issue is cleanliness. The place needs a thorough vacuuming. My girlfriend suffered due to her allergies, and dirt and crumbs could be seen under the couch and other furniture. The shower had what looked to be mold forming on the grout. With better cleaning this place would get 5 stars.

We ate at the restaurant which was very good. However, our room was dingy and dirty. It needed a paint job, the carpets were stained and the cushions on the couch were stained. Doors were scratched up and the trim on the floor looked scuffed and dirty. I didn’t touch them to find out. The carpet had wrinkles in it. The air conditioner was extremely loud. We had to wear ear plugs. We almost didn’t hear the fire alarm when it went off. We had to go outside and wait for the fire trucks to leave. As much as we paid for a room it was ridiculous. We were in room 205. Not sure how the other rooms are maintained. I am glad we only had it booked for 3 days. There was trash under the bed a used water bottle behind the night stand. We would not recommend staying here if you are looking for a clean place to stay. Next time we come to visit we will be staying else where.

Great location! Room was smaller than expected. Very musty smell and needs some updating as the furniture and rug were old and stained. The room was clean. It just didn’t feel clean because everything was old. No furniture to sit on to watch TV. Small refrigerator was beside the toilet. We frequently visit Savannah, but this has been our least favorite place to stay so far.

I was so excited to stay here because of website. We were very disappointed that the guest house where we stayed seemed to have been forgotten. Allot of disrepair and turned into a storage facility. Housekeeping was nonexistent, they didn’t even come by to empty trash. The main Inn and the people were nice.

I get that this is a historical hotel but the room this time was dirty, not old dirty, legit unclean. I have stayed here in the past and while it was nothing spectacular it was good for the cost. One suggestion would be a lock on the inside of the door, it felt a bit unsecure. I know the building cannot be accessed without a key, but that still leaves the possibility of someone with access being able to break into your room. It would have also been nice to have a safe to store valuables. I travel a lot and in room safes always seem to be standard.

The staff at the 17Hundred90 Inn were very kind during my stay. Unfortunately, I developed more than 30 welts and clusters of round, red, swollen bites throughout my stay from October 29 through November 2, 2025. About an hour before checking out on November 2, my partner and I found a tiny reddish brown bug crawling on the bed sheets. It appeared to be a bed bug. I notified hotel staff, was unable to meet with a manager, and have not received a return call for next steps. I am just concerned that this will affect future guests and negatively impact their health. Since returning home to Maryland, I have gone to a walk-in clinic, confirmed a diagnosis of bed bug bites, and have been prescribed steroids due to a severe allergic reaction to the bites. I am very saddened by this, because I love the city of Savannah itself, but I am deeply disturbed and disappointed in my stay due to my experience.

Wonder old inn with lots of character. Bar / tavern was excellent, fun with great service. Restaurant was good and service throughout was very good. Great parking and central location. Issue was the vents were black / maybe mold or dirty and sheets felt very cheap and not comfortable. If these issues could be addressed we would give the inn a very good recommendation.

Staff, food, bar, history, location, all outstanding!! The only downfall was the bed in room 202. Every move caused the bed to CREAK! Incessantly!! It made enough noise to raise the dead of Savannah. It made more noise than the 4th of July fireworks outside. Will get another room if we return.

Pros: location, price, staff, restaurant and bar Cons: the buildings and some furnishings show their age, wifi was very weak in our guest building and there’s no cable tv to catch up on the news. Streaming tv attempts were very inconsistent due to the wifi issue.

I understand the building is old, which is part of the reason we wanted to stay there. I can’t speak for the other rooms but room 102 could really use some work. The room had no windows, which I thought was odd not to mention you feel like you’re in a box. All in all it was an okay place to stay, I probably wouldn’t stay again.

Unique traditional property within easy walking distance of Savannah's main attractions. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Room 203 had a loud constant humming noise coming from ventilation in the corridor, made it difficult to relax.

Only complaint was it being an interior room so to make up for the lack of natural light they have skylights. Not very conducive for sleeping in late with the morning sunlight shining in. Overall I enjoyed my stay and the tavern was awesome.

17Hundred90 Inn was great. The staff was top notch and room was clean. Location is convenient and centrally located to get to all the touristy places in this historic section of Savannah. Only gripe I had was the mattress in the room we stayed in was horrible and needs to be replaced. No excuse to have an old beat up mattress from what felt like 1800’s in a room where the main thing you use the room for is sleep. I love authenticity but once you have a mini fridge and flat screen that goes out the window. Hopefully that was an anomaly. 4 out of 5 for our stay. Will definitely come back.

Cute place - staff is very friendly when they are there...note there is no staff available to you between 10pm and 10am. It all worked out fine for me but don't expect all the extras that bigger hotels have like breakfast, coffee, etc

I have never had an easier check in. Chris was amazing. He not only made you feel welcomed, he helped take our luggage to our room. The only reason I have this hotel a good is because the bar staff wasn’t very friendly.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The manager, Chris, was very personable, the onsite 17Hundred90 restaurant was amazing, and the room was very comfortable. The location was excellent, as it only took us 10 minutes to walk to the riverfront. We stayed in room 104 which was right above the registration desk and restaurant so it was somewhat noisy until the restaurant closed at 10 pm. We also appreciated having a parking space on the inn’s property. The room was very clean and spacious, with a large comfortable bed and two upholstered chairs. Hot water was readily available and the mini fridge was nice to have, especially with the freezer compartment for our cooler ice packs.

Once my wife and I checked out, she noticed that she left her dress in the bathroom, hanging on the hook on the door. Within two hours, I called the front desk and they informed me that the dress was not there but they will ask the cleaner about it the next day. The next day, they informed me the cleaner did not see the dress and they looked in their laundry and they did not find the dress. I understand if something went missing after a few days, but for the dress to go missing within two hours is perplexing. They told me the only person who went in was the cleaning lady so I asked for her name so I could file a police report and they refused to provided it to me. I asked for the manager to call me multiple times and he will not returned my calls. If you follow the fact-pattern, it's only logical that the cleaning lady found the dress and kept it and the hotel is abdicating their responsibilities and shielding her from being accountable to the police-the lack of call back from management is troubling and it only adds to the shadyness of this place. Avoid this hotel.

The staff at 17Hundred90 are so friendly and accommodating, from the bartenders at the Tavern to the managers at the Inn, to the wait staff in the Restaurant, none of them made a single misstep. We loved our room (301) and the courtyard was an absolutely charming spot to unwind. We find the bed to be extremely comfortable and it was easy to control the temperature of the room. The room was quiet, as well. 17Hundred90 is centrally located, so it was an easy walk to all the hot spots along Broughton, the River, Forsyth Park, and all points in between. No matter where you stay, don't miss the opportunity to make a reservation to have dinner in the restaurant. The food is impeccable! We stayed at the sister property, Godley Manor, in November 2025, and it was also a wonderful stay with great staff. But 17Hundred90 was more to our liking, and we will definitely be returning soon.

The man who checked us in, Chris, was fabulous! Helped carry our luggage to our room, great assistance in suggesting where to go, what to see! It’s a very old building but charming! Dinner was good, great atmosphere!!

We had an issue with our room that was resolved immediately when we discussed with the manager. Our room as lovely, well appointed with a very comfortable mattress. Dinner was also excellent and our service was exceptional!

Greeted with complete hospitality by the registration's person (whose name I cannot recall). He even helped us carry our luggage up to our room. The room was spacious, clean, and very unique with period charm. The location is great and very walkable to all the city has to offer.

This was our second time staying at this Inn, and we loved it just as much as the first time. It is in a great location, we walked everywhere we went, and the vibe is perfect for us. We will definitely come back.

This was my first time staying at 17Hundred90 and it was great. The building has so much history. It is perfectly located to walk the historic district very easily. I got the last space on the hotel property and never had to move my car again. Had dinner at the restaurant and they give you two free drinks at the bar. Food was very good and the restaurant ambiance was classy but not snooty. This property is a stop on several of the walking tours around the historic district so the tavern brings in a lot of fun people getting a drink. I would love to stay here again one day!

We stayed at the 17Hundred90 Inn and loved it! The location was perfect and the staff was wonderful. If you’re looking for a place that feels like Savannah, absolutely check them out. It feels like you’re stepping back in time when you walk in! We only used our car once this trip, it’s extremely walkable and so many exciting spots are a stones throw away. We will absolutely be back!

The historic feel of the hotel was very unique and one we thoroughly enjoyed. Patrick gave us a quick tour through the homes and was very informative. The staff was also pleasant when we stopped by the bar and restaurant. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful inn. Excellent room third time visit. Cozy restaurant on site. Got $46 rubber steak. Waiter comped me a $2 ice cream dessert add on. Reported dinner to manager on check out and got a sorry and hoped it would be better next time. Disappointed with this usual 5 star inn

Absolutely loved it! Very friendly, helpful staff. We made dinner reservations which I highly recommend. Food was amazing along with our server Raymond. We will be back.

Loved our stay except we were very disappointed that we were not able to dine in the restaurant, even though we were staying there. No one mentioned how busy they get and that you needed a reservation when we checked in. We had plans the first night and thought we would dine in on our second and last night and that didn't happen. They didn't even try to accommodate us even though we paid to stay there, very disappointing.
Loved our stay except we were very disappointed that we were not able to dine in the restaurant, even though we were staying there. The Inn is a great place to visit in Savannah. Close to everything and the food and beverage couldn’t be better. The bar is outstanding with wonderful service and ambience. I highly recommend you stay here for a truly wonderful experience. Barbara and Grumpy treat everyone very well.

The check in experience was wonderful. Chris was great. Our room 207 was lovely and quaint. We dined at the 1790 restaurant downstairs - it was wonderful. Everything is easy - checkin/out, location, parking. Lovely tavern afterwards. We actually left something in the room; and were so impressed that housekeeping let Chris know, and he called us, so we could pick it up! Can’t say enough about the service and comfort. Will definitely return and recommend.

The room was fantastic! The tub was so relaxing and gave me a great space to read my book! The food at the restaurant was ok. The crab soup in the salmon were delicious, but the side items tasted frozen. The parking was stressful behind the guest house for my huge truck but made it work. I didn't see any of the staff after I checked in on Friday night since my room was in the guest house but honestly that was okay. I had everything I needed. Very quiet. The stairs about killed me even though I was expecting them. The room would have benefited from a small table to eat at but all in all will be back!!

Amazing place! If you want to really stay in old Savannah, this is the best option. Visit the hotel website to pick your exact room since each is decorated differently. My room (301) even had a private back patio and semi-private parlor. Cheapest hotel parking in Savannah by far at $15 a night, gorgeous historical rooms with painted ceilings and period furniture but fully renovated bathrooms and A/C/fridge, convenient location to walk to all areas of downtown/historical Savannah. I liked the privacy of no room cleaning unless upon request, and I didn't mind going across the street for ice since it was actually closer than in some large hotels. If you prefer lots of amenities (breakfast, new towels/making the bed daily, pool, microwave), this might not be for you. But I absolutely loved it!
