Small things like tissues missing/box not filled and only 2 tea bags seem like penny pinching and just take the edge of the quality of the stay. Worth noting that the sound proofing between the rooms on the second floor isn’t good, which means you get to hear everything

This property has a lot to offer as a bed and breakfast option. Strandhill is a charming seaside resort with a definite surfer vibe. The services not offered by the hotel are easily accessed nearby. The reception staff were very helpful. The issues that prevented me from giving a five star review were the badly worn carpet in the bedroom and the 3 minute 'make-up' service.

The location and the staff were both amazing. The views and the breakfast were great. There were some issues with cleanliness. The bathroom had long hair around the tub and sink and when we went to the balcony, there was a cup full of cig butts and water. Quickly cared for as the desk clerk handled the cup and my wife did a quick clean of the entire bathroom. We are not germ freaks but hair is hair and worse when it isn't yours. Otherwise amazing stay. The Dunes Bar 3 minutes away had incredible burgers and well priced for the area.

Great place and walkable to the beach/restaurants. Continental breakfast was good and staff very friendly and helpful. The wifi did not reach into our room, so we had to go to common area to use (which may cause issues if you are travelling and limiting data use.)

We were unable to maintain a comfortable room temperature. Opening the windows to lower temperature, only to have it rise again to 75 degrees. Too hot to sleep, especially on the overly soft mattress. Overall, every unpleasant stay.

I have not been to a Lodge where it felt like I was family and that no question was too outlandish. The front desk was very helpful. The view from our room was outstanding and restful. I would return in a heartbeat. Thanks for a memorable stay.

So, the room was excellent. The facility itself has a bit of a motel feel, but that's made up for by how incredibly friendly and helpful the staff is, going as far as to offer plenty of suggestions for dining, shopping, etc. I'd probably go 4 stars on this location, if it wasn't for the service really going above and beyond and making my stay really that much more enjoyable.

So, the room was excellent. The place is in a beautiful location to relax and probably even better for golfers. Everything was good but we found the service in the restaurant to be slow and disorganized. Staff seemed inattentive and at the front reception as well. I ordered the steak and it was not nearly as good as I had hoped for. Nice rooms but we didn’t realize we had shared living space downstairs which meant getting fully dressed to go fetch morning coffee or water.

Stayed only one night and everything was perfect. Shout out to David at the front desk. He set us up for wonderful dinner reservations and had great suggestions on a pub or two. Loved the balcony and view!

This hotel, is pretty well perfect, lovely rooms, friendly, helpful staff. Do not be put off by "lack" cooked breakfast. What is available is far better and excellent range, quality than so many other hotels. In a lovely convenient location, no corners cut. This is how it should be done.

The place is in a beautiful location to relax and probably even better for golfers. Everything was good but we found the service in the restaurant to be slow and disorganized. Staff seemed inattentive and at the front reception as well. I ordered the steak and it was not nearly as good as I had hoped for. Nice rooms but we didn’t realize we had shared living space downstairs which meant getting fully dressed to go fetch morning coffee or water.

Emma on reception was so helpful and friendly. Breakfast basic but good. Rooms are big and spacious, could possibly do with a refresh and better toiletries. The TV could be updated too

I found this property to be very conveniently located. And all of the staff are exceptionally friendly and extremely helpful. The one thing I would say is to be aware that electricity and power at this location are not as updated as other hotels on the east side of Ireland and to be prepared and feel comfortable to ask questions as I did. From check-in to check out every question I had was answered far beyond what I needed to know and I greatly appreciated all the help.
