I had made two separate reservations for this hotel for May 1 and May 2. I got a call from the reservation counter, April 30 letting me know that the Friday reservation had been canceled. On Friday I got a call from hotels.com that the Saturday May 2 reservation had been canceled. Hotels.com helped me find a different hotel for May 2 that was more expensive than my original reservation. Low and behold I saw an illegal charge on my credit card from Staybridge suites on Sunday. When I spoke to them they told me that I was a no show for May 2. The original reservation was $261 or so and somehow Staybridge charged my card $430. I told the manager that I had received a notice from hotels.com and that I had personally spoken to a staff member from their hotel on Friday who confirmed that it was cancelled. The manager refused to give me a refund saying it was never cancelled and that the hotel staff never said it was cancelled. I told her I had the voicemails from hotels.com and that they had helped me find a new hotel after the canceled reservation. She continue to say it was not canceled. She was rude, and very unhelpful. I then reached out to hotels.com to fix it and they contacted the hotel and the hotel told them the cancelation was for May 3. We never made a reservation on May 3. The staff at this hotel are liars. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM.
