Unfortunately, our experience with this place started off as a nightmare. We emailed them more than 45 days in advance to confirm payment of the park fees for two people and received no response. As our arrival date got closer, we had to repeatedly email and call just to get basic information. When we tried to confirm airport pickup, the staff became overly aggressive about selling us their game drive package. We clearly explained that we already had some activities booked and would decide after arriving, but they refused to budge. It felt as though if we didn’t book their game drive, we would not receive airport transportation. Their main focus seemed to be getting money rather than providing service. We were repeatedly told that card payments “didn’t work” and that only cash was accepted, which raised serious concerns. We were nearly charged for the same things twice, so please be very careful. The main individuals involved in these issues were Emmanuel and Patrick. I was forced to wire money for park fees, transportation, and airport pickup. Despite tipping, the service noticeably declined after our stay, especially when it came to attitudes around tips. On a positive note, the manager, Ajy, was very helpful. When I called him about an hour before landing, he stepped in and ensured we at least had transportation to the hotel, which we truly appreciated. The food was good, and the chef was very accommodating with my husband’s dietary preferences.

Patrick the manager at Seronera was absolutely incredible. He took care of us during our entire stay and made us feel right at home. Though our time there was very short it was truly a treasured moment and looking forward to coming back with more friends and family in the future. The lodge is convenient located just a few minutes away from the airport which was perfect since we had an early flight the next day.

The worst part that hotel does not help with transfers, even though its only 6 min drive from Seronera Air Ship. while in Tanzania people should know that they trying to scam everywhere, Therefore strongly recomended to use and organize the trip via trusted services. Contacted hotel few times regarding transfer, they never reply. the only message they sent that aboultvtheir constant concession fee and entrance to the park . which yhey charge per day not per entrance.

The lodge is located in a central place amongst the vast Serengeti, so it is relatively easy to visit the sites where the animals are located. I found the buffet fantastic with a great chef and helpful staff. Dancers accompanied the evening meals and there was a nice vibe in the dining area. You cannot leave the premises of the lodge, it literally is too dangerous to do so, as hyenas, warthogs or even a hippo may attack you. An incredible sight I witnessed was to see a giraffe appear at night behind my room! Some mornings, monkeys would appear on the roof of the lodge, but they were harmless and ran away from the sight of us. The views from the lodge of the Serengeti are fantastic and many a guest woke up early to try to witness the sunrise or sunset. The rooms are just about spacious enough for 2 people but the wi-fi is poor. Lights go out at 12 midnight and there is no hot water from 12 to 6 AM, not a huge issue for me personally. The gym has a good set of equipment’s and was not busy at all during my stay. I regretted not taking binoculars for my safari and I think it would be a good business opportunity if the lodge rented these out.
