Always a great stay. Didn’t realize the pool was taken out for a new bar and bistro area which is still under construction. Front desk said a new outdoor pool would be installed. We’ll be back once the pool is put in because there just isn’t anything to do around town after 5 pm with kids

The hotel seems to have recently added a new bar and eating area which was nice and a nice outside eating area. However, the rooms were very dated and did not have a coffeemaker or refrigerator. Also the TV was quite small, maybe only 36 inches and did not have streaming ability to put in your own Netflix or Youtube account. also they do no clear you room unless you ask. We were not told that was their policy

Property is newer compared to other hotels in the area. Front staff was very friendly, professional, and helpful. Nice views from the rooms. A/C was loud. A/C located under window. Due to the length of the drapes they get caught in the air flow if closed. The spa tub was extremely loud.The television is small in proportion to the room and is to far from The bed. Spa tub is so loud you cannot hear the television. Property is under construction.No restaurant, no pool., no bar.

First time staying here, usually stay in Reno and head up to VC for the day. Staff was very friendly they serve continental breakfast and have a nice indoor pool and a bar. Our room was nice clean bed was comfortable. We walked up the hill to town to grab a bite and drinks nice shops the town closes around 9 or so depending on events they do have a golf cart shuttle at no cost. We only stayed for one night definitely worth it we will come up and stay again but for a few nights next time. Thank you Silverland

Probably won't be staying here again because there was no coffee!!! The restaurant opens at 7:00 but we needed to be up early and it would have been nice to have a cheap little coffee pot in the room. Also there was not refrigerator. There was a microwave in a room with a vending machine. There is no pool, if that's something you want. At the restaurant We had the bagel with sausage and one with bacon for breakfast that was really good. Everyone was very nice and the room was clean. Bed and pillows were comfortable.

Rooms are good size. Sucks that they don’t offer the pool/ spa anymore and they don’t offer a continental breakfast anymore either. A restaurant was built where the pool and spa used to be. Other than that, it’s a place to stay.

The speed limit is 25 mph. That is your warning. Everything is great, the view. The pool. Night deskman was very nice and patient with my grandkids. I will be going back.

When we arrived we seen there was no longer a pool or hot tub. They’re under a remodel and the pool area is all covered and it’s going to be a bar grille. Room was clean and comfortable just bummed with some of the accommodations.

Overnight stopover, convenient as we wanted to spend time in Virginia City! Room was good but needed a good cleaning, dust in corners and empty beer can on the floor beside the bed.

While the staff was very friendly and helpful, the room itself was not cleaned properly. There were stains and hairs on the pillowcases, and the carpet did not look like it had seen a vaccum in awhile.

We stay here every time we come to the area to visit family, close to everything in town to just walk. unfortunately, this time the bathroom was not cleaned, it was like they swept into a corner and left it. Usually, the rooms are nice and clean.

The room reeked of strong cleaning smell so badly it was nauseating, I appreciate a clean room but the smell was so strong my clothing and luggage smelled from the cleaning agents they used in fact it gave me such a headache by the second night I couldn’t sleep. They no longer offered continental breakfast and the staff in the new bistro completely ignored my husband’s numerous requests for acknowledgment to purchase two cups of coffee. In fact the server poured himself a cup of coffee, looked at my husband and then turned and proceeded out of the restaurant and began chatting with the front desk employees. Drunken guests were partying in the common area until 3 am as well as yelling up and down the hallways. I have stayed here a few times and it was never like this. I believe they changed out some things in June and it was just not the same experience.

for the price they do not offer many amenities. No refrigerator, no micro in room ( there is a common use for all), no coffee in room ( you can buy coffee after 7 am in their restaurant for about $3 a cup), and the smallest TV I have seen in years. Unfortunately there is really no competition in the Viginia city area for them because the few other places have much bigger problems. Oh well virginia city is great so bring a coffee maker with cups and makings and a good pair of glasses for the TV. lol

Loved the staff! Also, this was the best hotel in Virginia City. The room had limited amenities. Small TV and no refrigerator or microwave in room. Fabulous view of the mountains from our room.

The front desk clerk was extremely unprofessional. The entire time I was checking in he was hauking up mucus, forgot what he was doing and holding onto my ID and CC. I felt I needed to ask if he was okay and his response was "yeah". Then we stayed in a "Junior Suite" the TV didn't work and we were right by the "afterhours door" so every one coming and going until 3am we could hear breathe. I would expect a "junior suite" to be on the upper level in a quiet corner. When we called the desk about the Cable being out we were told " any minute now" NEVER did we have Cable. We were out of the room from 1030am - 8pm and our room was not cleaned so no extra amenities or clean towels in our "Junior Suite" We left the moment we woke up because we could not rest/relax with all the noise and no buffer of TV in our room. We love Virginia City we come about twice a month. It was an unfortunate experience.

Room was ok. Bed was very hard and pillows were terrible. I should have brought my own. There’s no fridge in room. :(. The location is very convenient and is very short walk to anywhere in Virginia City. There are few choices so would probably stay here again if needed to stay the night in VC.

We booked this as a side trip to Virginia City. The hotel looks older from the outside, but isn't too bad on the inside. The beds were very firm. I couldn't sit on the bed with my legs hanging off because the ridge on the mattress was so hard it hurt my legs. If you like really firm beds this is the place to stay. Also, the bistro was only open a couple of days a week, so we couldn't get breakfast there. The sink clogged in our room and the one next door so we were moved to a different room. I'd return if not for the uncomfortable beds.

On the positive side, the hotel is very close to the main street of Virginia City. The only negative I can add is the behavior of the owner during a smoke filled room requiring the fire department to arrive. Her militant manner suggests she needs a course in not only customer service.....but crisis management!

The accommodation was excellent, the service outstanding, and the staff truly exceptional! Everyone was incredibly helpful and kind. This was a truly positive experience in every way.

The property was clean. The staff was friendly. When I requested additional linens be brought to the room none were brought so I walked to the front desk to ask again. The pillows were flat. The air conditioning didn’t cool the room down to the temp it was set to. The hotel was clean. There was coffee available in the morning. There was a vending machine but it didn’t always work and charged our credit card without giving us the desired item. Staff was able to assist us by getting the snacks from the machine. I would stay there again when in that area because of the friendly staff.
The property was clean. The staff was friendly. When I requested additional linens be brought to the room none were brought so I walked to the front desk to ask again. The pillows were flat. The air conditioning didn’t cool the room down to the temp it was set to. The hotel was clean. There was coffee available in the morning. There was a vending machine but it didn’t always work and charged our credit card without giving us the desired item. Staff was able to assist us by getting the snacks from the machine. I would stay there again when in that area because of the friendly staff.

Silverland was close to the wedding venue where we were attending. Carrie C. was especially cordial and went out of her way to accomodate several requests we had, e.g. late arrival, getting a refrigerator because we had a baby with us, and giving us recommendation for local restaurant & park. My only negative feedback is that I believe I used one credit card when booking with Expedia, but the hotel had another card on file. Not sure how that happened. Anyway, I did not have the number/card of the one I thought was on file & therefore I lost out on earning mileage credits on the card I wanted to use. Lastly, the desk told me the check out time was 10 am, and the cleaning crew were at my door waiting for me to leave, when the advertised check out time was 11 am.

This property is conveniently located near town. It’s just a short walk uphill to the Main Street with all the local fun. There are tons of small local shops, bars, haunted tours, nearby mine tours. The hotel is older, but is well maintained. Everything works!! The staff was great. Helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Our main issue (in September) trying to find a place to eat after 4:00 was nearly impossible. No restaurants are open and most bars don’t serve food. Found that tough. Probably a seasonal thing. Overall great place to stay and visit.

Location was great. Had trouble with the AC in our room...The staff was very attentive and tried to come and fix it. Continued to give us trouble. Asked them for a fan and they brought us one....We had breakfast at the attached restaurant. It was very good and the service was great.

Probably won't be staying here again because there was no coffee!!! The restaurant opens at 7:00 but we needed to be up early and it would have been nice to have a cheap little coffee pot in the room. Also there was not refrigerator. There was a microwave in a room with a vending machine. There is no pool, if that's something you want. At the restaurant We had the bagel with sausage and one with bacon for breakfast that was really good. Everyone was very nice and the room was clean. Bed and pillows were comfortable.

I would think with the VIP benefits we would at least have complimentary coffee and tea in a common area or at least a machine in the room. A small refrigerator would be a nice addition. We ate breakfast on our last day and it was very good and the service was great

Overall, the room was just fine. Comfortable beds, clean, no complaints. on the other hand, the breakfast was a disappointment. Very poor selection of food. No milk for the cold cereal. Orange juice was very watery.

The room reeked of strong cleaning smell so badly it was nauseating, I appreciate a clean room but the smell was so strong my clothing and luggage smelled from the cleaning agents they used in fact it gave me such a headache by the second night I couldn’t sleep. They no longer offered continental breakfast and the staff in the new bistro completely ignored my husband’s numerous requests for acknowledgment to purchase two cups of coffee. In fact the server poured himself a cup of coffee, looked at my husband and then turned and proceeded out of the restaurant and began chatting with the front desk employees. Drunken guests were partying in the common area until 3 am as well as yelling up and down the hallways. I have stayed here a few times and it was never like this. I believe they changed out some things in June and it was just not the same experience.

Loved the old time feeling of the hotel without it being an old run down hotel! Rooms were nice and cozy. Only complaint is there was no fresh fruit with the breakfast.

1 star overall! Room was spacious and comfortable bed. But... there is no dining here as promoted, plan on eating out; oh, if your toilet wont flush, plan on plunging it your self as a plunger is available in the bathroom and hotel staff is only 2 to remedy that in a timely manner, and dont bring any items needing refridgerated as there is no mini fridge or a microwave. There is no pool or hut tub either. Dont plan on alot of dresser space as dresser is small. Dont plan on gaining entry to the lobby or coffee (which u pay for) as lobby is locked up at main entrance and from inside the hotel and does not open till 7am. If a Motel 6 was available, we would have had a much better experience!

Recommend to stay in junior suite with hot tub and king size bed, it was excellent and the bed was really comfortable. Very nice place close to town, my family really enjoyed our stay, will be back some day.
