Kindest, warmth, beauty, and hospitality. Highly recommend this terrific place - old world charm with modern comforts. Clean, pretty, nice amenities like tea always available, delicious breakfasts, afternoon wine and cheese. Keep up the good work.

Online photos of this B&B don't do it justice. It is beautiful and immaculate inside and out. Paula and her staff are fabulous. We will definitely stay there again! The only negative is parking. The good thing is, once you park, everything is so walkable, you don't need to move your vehicle till you are leaving for home.

Location was excellent, close to many dining locations and retail:; a stone’s throw to the beach. Facility was well kept and cared for. Bed was comfy and bathroom was clean and spacious. The owner runs things like a clock. Towels and beach chairs were available. It was also nice be able to eat outside. Breakfasts were good; savory one day, sweet the next. Guest were expected to show up on time. The same applies to the 4:00 snack. Although ok, they were a little wanting. A tray of cookies and coffee seems a bit thin for 20+ guests. Likewise 2 bottles of wine and a tray of assorted cheeses and sliced sausage hardly seems enough. Small things, but rubs one the wry way.

The staff I encountered were helpful and nice, but be aware that they’re mostly stationed at the sister hotel. That is also where the afternoon tea also takes place. My room was clean, but I was so overwhelmed by the smell of what I believe was Febreze, that I actually had to open the windows despite the air-conditioning being on. If you’re sensitive to these things, you may want to tell them ahead of time. The immediate Neighborhood is great, with the exception of large modern-ish apartment building that sits in front of the Inn. Hurts the ambience a bit but it’s worth it to be so close to the ocean and nearby restaurants. We parked on the street. It was very easy to find a spot and it was free.

This was our second summer at The Bedford Inn which is now under new ownership. It's a very nice Inn although a bit pricey but it's the summer season. There is a nice breakfast daily but not as nice as the previous owners provided. The afternoon tea, however, has been moved from The Bedford to another property which requires a 10-15 minute walk. Totally annoying in my estimation. Also, beach badges are no longer provided. It's a lovely inn but I don't know if we'll return due to these changes.

We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend for a babymoon and had the most wonderful visit. Not our first time to Cape May, but our first time staying at Bedford Inn and it exceeded expectations. Walking distance to beach, beautiful breakfast each morning, and felt very relaxed drinking coffee and reading books on the porch outside our room. Very attentive host- the afternoon wine and cheese / iced tea and scones was a lovely touch after a day in the sun. Powerful AC unit! We look forward to returning some day!

Enjoyed staying at the Bedford B&B. Paula and her staff were great. Breakfast was always delicious ! Loved her wine and cookies too. Beach tags, beach towels and chairs included. Very clean comfortable bed

The Bedford Inn was very disappointing. The room was nothing like the photos — outdated, cramped, and uncomfortable. The “bathroom” was basically a closet, the bed uneven, the coffee machine broken, and the temperature inconsistent all night. Parking was terrible. Breakfast was also poor, with supposed to be hot food was cold, fruit that wasn’t fresh. While the room was clean, we left earlier than planned and skipped breakfast the next day. For the price, it’s simply not worth it.

My family has been vacationed in this part of New Jersey since the late 1950s, so I have stayed in quite a few different hotels and BnBs. I chose the Bedford Inn based on the reviews I read, its location, and photos of food I saw on social media. My visit exceeded all my expectations, and this is the only place I will stay on future trips to the Cape May area. The breakfasts featured delicious, inventive twists on classic dishes, my room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, and I appreciated all the storage space, especially in the newly-remodeled, gorgeous bathroom. There was plenty of parking on the property as well as on the street, and I was also grateful for the keyless entry—one less thing to worry about! Paula is a gracious host, and I already told my Cape May-loving friends that they need to put this inn on their itineraries.

My sister and ai had a very nice stay at the Bedford Inn. The service was excellent and the Victorian style of the house was a wonderful experience. The Inn was clean, breakfasts were great and the staff was friendly. Highly recommend.

We LOVED staying at Bedford Inn! It was so clean and the staff was so kind. The breakfast was FANTASTIC and they accommodated for my friend who is dairy free and vegetarian. We highly recommend staying and wish we could stay longer!

The Inn was clean, comfortable and cozy. The room was a good size & the bathroom had a nice walk-in shower. The breakfast for both days was delicious. The staff, Ashley, was extremely friendly, helpful & knowledgeable of the Inn & area. This was such an enjoyable trip we will be doing back int he summer.

The location was close to everything that I wanted to do so I just parked the car and walked the whole weekend. Paula gave us some excellent dinner recommendations and she was very helpful with a heat issue we had in the room. The breakfast was very good as well and the hotel was clean and customer service was good as well.

Place is in a great location and very charming Breakfast was delicious and the wine and cheese and homemade cookies was such a nice touch in the afternoon. Bed was comfy, bathroom was spacious and updated and room was very clean. Decorations for Christmas were lovely. Paula runs a tight ship and keeps the place top notch. If you are looking for a great B&B this is the one!

Overall we had a great stay. Ashley was fantastic, the location and some of the perks are great. The room we stayed in was quite small and dated - it could do with some renovation. Price is - like most places in Cape May during peak season - a big negative unfortunately. We understand the demand is driving the prices high during this season - but for $415 a night, you would expect royal comfort, treatment and amenities (beach tags aren't even available!)

Staff was great, breakfast was just good… no proprietor was on the premises to greet you upon arrival..I felt that made the B & B experience a little less personal.. parking was a little challenging as well. Beautiful room!!

We stayed in Edward's room. I hadn't realized the property layout. This room was on the first floor right near the front door and the two windows on either side of the bed look onto the porch. When people are on the porch talking, you can hear them. You also hear people coming and going and talking in the parlor or foyer. The room itself was nicely decorated, but some of the furnishing seemed a bit unstable, especially the wardrobe. The temperature of the room was good for us, however, it should be noted that we were told we could only control the AC and that if adjustments needed to be done to the heat, we would have to call Paula and let her know and she would adjust. I mention this because the website description says you have control over both, which is not really accurate. Paula was very nice and accomodating. She was able to meet dietary restrictions and changes. The food was amazing! The wine and cheese or cookies in the afternoon were a nice touch as was the availability of tea at any time. I would recommend the inn, but I would not stay in Edward's room again because of the noise factor.

The temperature of the room was good for us, however, it should be noted that we were told we could only control the AC and that if adjustments needed to be done to the heat, we would have to call Paula and let her know and she would adjust. I mention this because the website description says you have control over both, which is not really accurate. Paula was very nice and accomodating. She was able to meet dietary restrictions and changes. The food was amazing! The wine and cheese or cookies in the afternoon were a nice touch as was the availability of tea at any time. I would recommend the inn, but I would not stay in Edward's room again because of the noise factor.

The Bedford Inn was very disappointing. The room was nothing like the photos — outdated, cramped, and uncomfortable. The “bathroom” was basically a closet, the bed uneven, the coffee machine broken, and the temperature inconsistent all night. Parking was terrible. Breakfast was also poor, with supposed to be hot food was cold, fruit that wasn’t fresh. While the room was clean, we left earlier than planned and skipped breakfast the next day. For the price, it’s simply not worth it.

From the moment we arrived, Paula treated us as long lost friends. Our room was simply beautiful and comfortable. From the afternoon wine and cheese to the breakfasts that were clearly prepared with love, we felt at home. It is rare to find this kind of hospitality on the road.

Very nice place. We arrived several hours early and planned to walk around town before checking in, but the owner spotted us parking on the street in front of the building and invited us to check in early. Lovely home and they can easily accommodate vegetarian/vegan requests.

My sister and ai had a very nice stay at the Bedford Inn. The service was excellent and the Victorian style of the house was a wonderful experience. The Inn was clean, breakfasts were great and the staff was friendly. Highly recommend.

The staff I encountered were helpful and nice, but be aware that they’re mostly stationed at the sister hotel. That is also where the afternoon tea also takes place. My room was clean, but I was so overwhelmed by the smell of what I believe was Febreze, that I actually had to open the windows despite the air-conditioning being on. If you’re sensitive to these things, you may want to tell them ahead of time. The immediate Neighborhood is great, with the exception of large modern-ish apartment building that sits in front of the Inn. Hurts the ambience a bit but it’s worth it to be so close to the ocean and nearby restaurants. We parked on the street. It was very easy to find a spot and it was free.

We loved the Bedford Inn because we had early morning starts well before their normal breakfast time and when we explained our predicament the Bedford Inn manager said no problem and proceeded to give us boxed breakfasts for both days of our stay and deliver them at 5:30am. Now that is what I call going above and beyond for your customers. Thank you Bedford Inn.

I highly recommend the Bedford Inn. Its a great location. A block from the beach and close to restaurants and shops! The Inn itself was perfect! The rooms are all nicely decorated and clean. They have front porches on both level to sit outside. But the best part of the inn was our host Ashley. She went above and beyond taking care of all our needs. The breakfast every day was delicious. I will definitely stay there again when back in Cape May!

The location was close to everything that I wanted to do so I just parked the car and walked the whole weekend. Paula gave us some excellent dinner recommendations and she was very helpful with a heat issue we had in the room. The breakfast was very good as well and the hotel was clean and customer service was good as well.

The breakfasts featured delicious, inventive twists on classic dishes, my room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, and I appreciated all the storage space, especially in the newly-remodeled, gorgeous bathroom. There was plenty of parking on the property as well as on the street, and I was also grateful for the keyless entry—one less thing to worry about! Paula is a gracious host, and I already told my Cape May-loving friends that they need to put this inn on their itineraries.

The owner runs things like a clock. Towels and beach chairs were available. It was also nice be able to eat outside. Breakfasts were good; savory one day, sweet the next. Guest were expected to show up on time. The same applies to the 4:00 snack. Although ok, they were a little wanting. A tray of cookies and coffee seems a bit thin for 20+ guests. Likewise 2 bottles of wine and a tray of assorted cheeses and sliced sausage hardly seems enough. Small things, but rubs one the wry way.

This was our second summer at The Bedford Inn which is now under new ownership. It's a very nice Inn although a bit pricey but it's the summer season. There is a nice breakfast daily but not as nice as the previous owners provided. The afternoon tea, however, has been moved from The Bedford to another property which requires a 10-15 minute walk. Totally annoying in my estimation. Also, beach badges are no longer provided. It's a lovely inn but I don't know if we'll return due to these changes.

Room was very clean with it's own air conditioning. The porches were so comfortable with a cooling ocean breeze. Anna was very friendly and helpful in the mornings. It's a real plus to have water, beach chairs, towels and an outside shower. Parking was easy on the street or on side. Breads, muffins and fruit salad were delicious for breakfast. Only slight negatives were having the same not that good breakfast casserole 2 of 3 days and having to go to another place several blocks away for the afternoon tea. It was too hot to trek over there. It would have been nice to at least have lemonade or iced tea on site in the summer.

The value for the price paid wasn’t there. The house was picturesque, but the bathroom amenities were severely lacking. I’d recommend using better bathroom products and have toiletries available- ie. Q tips, cotton balls, shower cap, etc. The pillows are way too stuffed and firm, making them uncomfortable. The air conditioner rattled at night. Breakfast was not great. The peaches and cream French toast was good, but everything else seemed store bought and not much different than the breakfast served at a Hampton Inn. Overall, the price is too high for what is a mediocre stay.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The bed in the Joseph Page suite was very comfortable and the shower stall worked great. The verandas were wonderful- one on the second floor as well. The full hot breakfast was delicious- baked egg casserole with artichokes and cheese and roasted cherry tomatoes. We would book again. One word of caution- their parking is limited as it is too small for larger vehicles. Parking is allowed on the street although it can be limited.
