We found all of the high ratings on Expedia and other sources about this hotel, and they were absolutely right - topnotch service, friendly front desk, helpful people on the phone, beautiful building and very clean room. Extra things … like a ball for our dog to play with a note explaining the rules for having a dog in your room (very fair) and fresh cookies downstairs … all very worth the drive to get to the hotel. We will be back!

Came up to PA for a family reunion. This hotel was perfect for me. Quiet, peaceful, and all around great hotel. The hotel pool is indoor and not heated, it was freezing. So when my daughter, her fiancé, and my son went swimming we couldn’t swim for long be it was too cold.

The staff at this facility is always top notch. We were welcomed with a huge friendly front desk clerk. She was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was comfy, the pool was warm, breakfast was just right, and the lobby was decorated for Valentines Day❤️ I was also able to chat with the cleaning staff. As always they were very kind and helpful. We love staying here. Thank you!

Friendly and helpful staff . Clean rooms. I loved that they provided pool toys for the kids . My kids loved that. The fresh baked cookies , iced flavored water and coffee were always available and delicious! Breakfast was really good too . They had staff making sure everything was replenished and guest had everything they needed . We will definitely stay there again .

We have enjoyed every aspect of our stay! The staff is excellent, especially the associate who checked us in! She was knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. The fitness center & pool were nice and had extended hours that we appreciated. Additionally, the room was clean and comfortable, AND had an abundance of outlets to plug in phones, computers, and a C-Pap! We always travel with a night light for safer trips to the bathroom, but they already provided one! The breakfast buffet was well stocked with fresh items and the attendant was very helpful & pleasant. It was also a bonus to have water, coffee, & jucies available all the time. Finally, the paper towel dispenser in the public rest rooms gives a generous amount of paper towel with 1 swipe of the hand, instead of having to do it 2 or 3 times to dry your hands. I felt the property did not scrimp on the little things and it was really nice for a change! It was a super nice stay!

The hotel is old and in need of upgrades. The carpets, furniture are filthy in the rooms, halls, breakfast area and reception. The elevator was scary to one point I got off and went up the stairs. The breakfast was ok if the lady would’ve kept bringing fresh food out and not let it get so low as to only having a couple eggs to choose from at 8am. Overall it would be a nice place if they put some money into it.

We do have two complaints. The upholstered chair in the room was absolutely filthy. The arm rests were almost black. I wouldn't even think of sitting in it. The hallway carpets were absolutely filthy..stained everywhere. If you would like photos, we can send them to you.

The only problem I had was that the elevator floor wasn't cleaned on a regular basis. The same dirt stain and candy wrapper that was on the floor of the elevator on Friday was still there when I checked out on Monday.

This Comfort Inn was recently renovated and was much nicer than we expected, to be honest. The staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to take care of our kids. I'd absolutely choose to stay there again.

My kids (20,13 & 11) and I come this way once a year (a 9 hr drive), for our favorite antique book stores, but this year we chose this particular hotel because it was closer to their favorite burger place…*Insert eye-roll* I’m glad we did though. I will say that the turn onto the road in is a little wonky, and I passed it the first time. You can’t see the hotel well from the road because it’s set back, which leads to no sounds from the traffic below, which is great! It just makes it hard to spot at first. Front desk was amazing, both during check in and check out. (Check in actually had my girls wondering if I had an issue with the room, because while they sat in the car, the clerk and I were just laughing it up and chitchatting inside). They both (check-in and check-out) interacted with my girls and didn’t treat them like children about to make messes or cause a ruckus (I mean, they’re antique bookstore kids, their idea of causing a ruckus is to read a book with the TV on). My girls appreciated the gesture, and even commented on the subject. The room we had was very spacious, clean and really up to date. With a beautiful view that I want to see in full Autumn! The breakfast was edible, but unfortunately not too palatable (as with all hotels). Overall, I have no complaints, and my girls want to come back, so I guess they’ll see us again…

From the time of check-in, the gal at the front desk was absolutely amazing. Room had a hot tub, and that was amazing too. Breakfast was the normal, however for the season, they had Pumpkin pancake.

I have stayed in this hotel several times for work travel. The staff have always been exceptionally friendly and helpful and the rooms are always clean and spacious. This is a wonderful place to stay and I will be continuing to come back!

The staff was so friendly! They communicated through text messages. I asked for a room on the first floor near an exit because we were bringing our dog and they were so friendly and were able to accommodate our request! We also asked for I bit later checkout and no problem! I highly recommend this hotel! All of the staff from the housekeeping to the people working the breakfast to the front desk all went over and above to be friendly!! And the town of Tunkhannok was SO cute and charming! We had a great dinner downtown!!

Had an absolutely amazing experience! From Check in Wendy was absolutely amazing and so sweet. She even upgraded us when there was a slight issue with our room. We got a flat tire and the manger was soo accommodating honestly couldn’t have had asked for a better stay

Really enjoyed our stay at this newly renovated hotel. From the excellent staff to the wonderful breakfast served daily, this is by far the best hotel in Tunkhannock!

Hotel was clean, and staff were mostly friendly and helpful. Couple of issues… 1. I arrived earlier in the day to pay for room and check in my elderly parents, who were to arrive a little later in the day. There was an apparent staff shift change between this and the information was not conveyed to the staff member which made the check in process frustrating for my husband who arrived with my parents. Staff member suggested that I return to the hotel to validate booking and check my parents into hotel. She eventually agreed to accept the check in after my having to phone and FaceTime her. She was not a good representative for the company. She was very arrogant and would benefit from customer service training! 2. My parents were booked into one of the disabled persons rooms on the second floor , however the room was located at the opposite end of the hotel to where the elevator was located. Made no sense. Put the disabled rooms closer to the elevator!

My kids (20,13 & 11) and I come this way once a year (a 9 hr drive), for our favorite antique book stores, but this year we chose this particular hotel because it was closer to their favorite burger place…*Insert eye-roll* I’m glad we did though. I will say that the turn onto the road in is a little wonky, and I passed it the first time. You can’t see the hotel well from the road because it’s set back, which leads to no sounds from the traffic below, which is great! It just makes it hard to spot at first. Front desk was amazing, both during check in and check out. (Check in actually had my girls wondering if I had an issue with the room, because while they sat in the car, the clerk and I were just laughing it up and chitchatting inside). They both (check-in and check-out) interacted with my girls and didn’t treat them like children about to make messes or cause a ruckus (I mean, they’re antique bookstore kids, their idea of causing a ruckus is to read a book with the TV on). My girls appreciated the gesture, and even commented on the subject. The room we had was very spacious, clean and really up to date. With a beautiful view that I want to see in full Autumn! The breakfast was edible, but unfortunately not too palatable (as with all hotels). Overall, I have no complaints, and my girls want to come back, so I guess they’ll see us again…

The staff was amazing. From Henry who helped us when we arrived late at night, even helped my wife and kids to the room while I parked the car. Jordan was great and jovial in the morning. We had to ask for a couple toothbrushes for my kids. I said I hated to be a bother and she said you're not a pest because you're our guest. It was a bit out of the way but well worth it.

From the time of check-in, the gal at the front desk was absolutely amazing. Room had a hot tub, and that was amazing too. Breakfast was the normal, however for the season, they had Pumpkin pancake.

One of the cleanest rooms I have ever seen!!!! The hotel has a nice indoor pool, which my kids really enjoyed. In addition, although the breakfast was somewhat mediocre, everything else surpassed all our expectations!

Friendly and helpful staff . Clean rooms. I loved that they provided pool toys for the kids . My kids loved that. The fresh baked cookies , iced flavored water and coffee were always available and delicious! Breakfast was really good too . They had staff making sure everything was replenished and guest had everything they needed . We will definitely stay there again .

We have enjoyed every aspect of our stay! The staff is excellent, especially the associate who checked us in! She was knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. The fitness center & pool were nice and had extended hours that we appreciated. Additionally, the room was clean and comfortable, AND had an abundance of outlets to plug in phones, computers, and a C-Pap! We always travel with a night light for safer trips to the bathroom, but they already provided one! The breakfast buffet was well stocked with fresh items and the attendant was very helpful & pleasant. It was also a bonus to have water, coffee, & jucies available all the time. Finally, the paper towel dispenser in the public rest rooms gives a generous amount of paper towel with 1 swipe of the hand, instead of having to do it 2 or 3 times to dry your hands. I felt the property did not scrimp on the little things and it was really nice for a change! It was a super nice stay!

The decor, staff and breakfast were great, although there weren’t too many gluten free options but I got enough to eat. The room was fine. My only complaint about the room was lack of towel bars and outlets in the bathroom. Otherwise, the bed and pillows were comfy and there were plenty of outlets for all of our devices to charge.

Room and hotel itself was very clean and modern and you could tell it had been updated. To our surprise there was not just a small fridge and a microwave in our room but it had a kitchenette with one burner, sink, plates and pots & pans. Even the dish soap and dish towel was provided. My daughter said the sofa bed was actually comfortable to sleep on!! There were full size shampoo, conditioner and lotion available, which smelled very nice. We all know that's usually not the case with hotel amenities... We've traveled all over the world and have stayed in many different hotels so it was a little strange to have to sign a waiver for not smoking (we don't smoke) and for not setting off the fire alarm!! And the lady at check-in was a little condescending about it. She talked to us as if we were teenagers that were in the habit of setting off fire alarms. Odd, not a good first impression and definitely a first for us! We didn't try the breakfast so can't say much about that, but my husband was happy to find some coffee available at check-in.

Wonderful stay… Good clean room, full free breakfast, and staff went above and beyond taking time to answer all questions, offer help, and provide needed supplies, such as a nail clipper, tweezers, and multiple plastic bags and garbage bags.
