It is really a lovely hotel with beautiful rooms and wonderful staff. My only knock is that the room was hot and difficult to cool down and the pub can be rather noisy.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel with great dining/bar experience. When we arrived, they were very welcoming and ensured we got a parking spot for our rental car. The room was beautifully decorated and very welcoming.

Great stay, clean and was quiet even though it was fairly busy. Only issue was there was a lack of air conditioning and the fan we were provided was loud and not very powerful. Would go back. Staff was lovely too.

Reception was not very professional. Confused about the booking and the payment. There is a sign in your room that if you take the bottle of soap you will be charged £15. We found that to be unnecessary. They also state free parking. However, there are only 4 spots and it is first come, first served. I had to park on the pathway. They don't state this on hotels.com. They have about half as many parking spaces as they have rooms. Given the built up area there is no way that you will be able to park in the vacinity, should parking not be available.

Very friendly, helpful staff. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Room and ensuite were spotlessly clean with nice fluffy towels. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Great restaurant where we enjoyed a lovely dinner after drinks in the buzzing bar. All in all, a very pleasurable visit and we’d definitely return. Many thanks to the lovely staff!

We stayed in room no 1 and it was beautifully appointed with wood panelling and high ceilings . A very large and luxurious bathroom was also much appreciated. The curtesy tray included a good selection of teas and espresso capsules. I suppose we were a bit unlucky to stay on one of those rare hot days in Edinburgh, but the room was very hot at night and we didn’t find the fan until our second night. Everything was nice and clean except for the artificial flowers that needed a good dusting. The cheerful staff added to the positive experiences.

Perfect. No Notes. I can't say enough good things about our stay at The Raeburn. I would call it a small boutique hotel with a restaurant, where we dined twice... each meal was delicious, especially the Raeburn burger. Both the hotel & dining staff was friendly & helpful. The room was beautiful, clean & QUIET! I can't emphasize enough how quiet the room was for the location in the city... really great. We opted out of housekeeping for a day, but they still left a little basket with water, snacks & TP outside our door... it's those little thoughtful gestures that matter! Also, the shower was amazing with high-quality towels & robes. It's located in a wonderful neighborhood with great shops & restaurants. It's about a mile from all the main tourist attractions, which might detour some but don't let it... the main tourist drag in Edinburgh is CROWDED, even in the "off-peak" time we visited in October... it was so nice to walk out of the craziness into the lovely Stockbridge neighborhood where the hotel is located. We really enjoyed our visit to Edinburgh & a lot of it was due to this exceptional accommodation.

Absolutely gorgeous room. Staff at the desk were lovely and helpful. Bathroom facilities were very clean. Beautifully put-together decor - felt very luxurious. So far the best hotel we have stayed at in Scotland. The room was far above our expectations. The bathroom has a roman tub, a shower, dual sinks. Water pressure was excellent. The bed had a very tall and stylish headboard. The closet was very deceiving. It revealed a huge room with a vanity and a mirror. The food was excellent. Despite the restaurant being so busy, the staff went out of their way to find us a table. The staff is the jewel crown. We will stay here the next time we are in town.

We had a lovely stay here, the rooms are absolutely gorgeous. So spacious and decorated very nicely. By far the best hotel I’ve stayed in in the city. Really nice area, because there is a restaurant and bar downstairs we thought it might have been pretty loud but we weren’t disturbed at all and couldn’t hear any noise from our room. Fab breakfast and coffee in the morning. Check in area isn’t the best, very narrow and small area with people from the bar walking around you so not ideal for queuing up but everything else was amazing.

The Raeburn was a gem! It's a not too far walk from the touristy parts of Edinburgh but just off the main street enough to be quiet when you want to rest or decompress. The hotel room was lovely and the bathroom very spacious. The staff was friendly and accomodating and the downstairs bar/restaurant was quite good. Highly recommended.

This hotel is adorable. My room was very spacious and well decorated. The location is in Stockbridge which is residential with tons of little shops and cafes but also walkable to the more touristy areas of Edinburgh.

Great 2 night stay in Deluxe Room. Nice room with huge bathroom including roll-top bath. Staff were excellent during the stay and the food and drinks were first class, with breakfast particularly good. Very pleasant stay and will certainly be returning.

Top notch Boutique Hotel. Super friendly staff. Charlotte, Holly and Lucy took great care of us during our stay as well as all the other staff! Hotel is nicely appointed, cozy and food and drink were exceptional. My entire family LOVED our stay. I will definitely return!

It was a lovely modern, clean spacious hotel with easy proximity to city centre. We arrive early to drop our bags and the general manager allowed us check in early to the room which was incredibly kind, thank you! Would definitely stay here again!

Had an excellent stay at The Raeburn. Wonderful place to stay, very clean and comfortable. The staff was accommodating and a pleasure to deal with.

Reception was not very professional. Confused about the booking and the payment. There is a sign in your room that if you take the bottle of soap you will be charged £15. We found that to be unnecessary. They also state free parking. However, there are only 4 spots and it is first come, first served. I had to park on the pathway. They don't state this on hotels.com. They have about half as many parking spaces as they have rooms. Given the built up area there is no way that you will be able to park in the vacinity, should parking not be available.

Checkin was smooth, rooms and bathrooms were a nice space, bed was comfortable. Bathroom had a bath and shower both, very nicely done. The staff was super helpful and friendly. The location can’t be beaten with beautiful walks that take you to new town and old town with many cute bakery and food options along the way. Loved the stay!

Great boutique hotel with an excellent bar and kitchen. The staff are very friendly and helpful.. Rooms are spacious, quiet and comfortable with good amenities. This boutique hotel in Stockbridge has an independent, village-like feel is a great location with good nearby restaurants, cafes, bars and pubs. The Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle, and most other major attractions are within a 20-25 minute walk. Edinburgh is hilly but compact and best explored on foot.

Lovely stay. Location just outside of city centre easy to access via public transport there is a bus stop just outside. Room was large and walk in wardrobe and facilities to use if needed. Welcoming staff and just a lovely place to stay. The bar downstairs can get busy but we didn’t hear anything from our room. Would definitely stay again when I visit next.

Perfect. No Notes. I can't say enough good things about our stay at The Raeburn. I would call it a small boutique hotel with a restaurant, where we dined twice... each meal was delicious, especially the Raeburn burger. Both the hotel & dining staff was friendly & helpful. The room was beautiful, clean & QUIET! I can't emphasize enough how quiet the room was for the location in the city... really great. We opted out of housekeeping for a day, but they still left a little basket with water, snacks & TP outside our door... it's those little thoughtful gestures that matter! Also, the shower was amazing with high-quality towels & robes. It's located in a wonderful neighborhood with great shops & restaurants. It's about a mile from all the main tourist attractions, which might detour some but don't let it... the main tourist drag in Edinburgh is CROWDED, even in the "off-peak" time we visited in October... it was so nice to walk out of the craziness into the lovely Stockbridge neighborhood where the hotel is located. We really enjoyed our visit to Edinburgh & a lot of it was due to this exceptional accommodation.

Very well located for walking to the major visitor attractions such as the Botanical Gardens, Princes Street, The Royal Mile and The Castle, to name but a few. Very good bus links close by. Hotel itself is very well presented. Great food from the restaurant, lively (but not rowdy) bar, but as soon as you go to the bedrooms all is quiet so don’t be put off. Peaceful at night. Polite and professional staff. For a city location this is a fabulous choice.

We loved everything about this hotel, our room was wonderful - clean, spacious and very comfortable, lovely decor in the room, we felt very at home. The location is wonderful, within easy reach of local amenities and a short taxi ride or pleasant walk into the city centre. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and the choice of food was excellent, the restaurant was beautifully decorated and had a great atmosphere. This was our first stay at the Raeburn but certainly not our last, it’s the perfect blend of boutique luxury and Scottish hospitality, highly recommended for anyone looking to experience Edinburgh in style.

So far the best hotel we have stayed at in Scotland. The room was far above our expectations. The bathroom has a roman tub, a shower, dual sinks. Water pressure was excellent. The bed had a very tall and stylish headboard. The closet was very deceiving. It revealed a huge room with a vanity and a mirror. The food was excellent. Despite the restaurant being so busy, the staff went out of their way to find us a table. The staff is the jewel crown. We will stay here the next time we are in town.

The Raeburn was a gem! It's a not too far walk from the touristy parts of Edinburgh but just off the main street enough to be quiet when you want to rest or decompress. The hotel room was lovely and the bathroom very spacious. The staff was friendly and accomodating and the downstairs bar/restaurant was quite good. Highly recommended.

It was wonderful. From the time we enter hotel to the time we checked out. Staff was extremely accommodating and the room was just beautiful. We later learned it had been renovated recently. The restaurant was great too. I definitely hope to return soon.

Top notch Boutique Hotel. Super friendly staff. Charlotte, Holly and Lucy took great care of us during our stay as well as all the other staff! Hotel is nicely appointed, cozy and food and drink were exceptional. My entire family LOVED our stay. I will definitely return!

Great 2 night stay in Deluxe Room. Nice room with huge bathroom including roll-top bath. Staff were excellent during the stay and the food and drinks were first class, with breakfast particularly good. Very pleasant stay and will certainly be returning.

We had a wonderful stay at The Raeburn and would definitely choose to stay here again on our next visit to Edinburgh. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and attentive, and they were especially great with children, which made our family feel very comfortable throughout our stay. A wonderful hotel and perfect location in Stockbridge. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else when back in Edinburgh. The restaurant/bar was in full swing when we arrived, so was a bit worried it’d be loud but the rooms are completely insulated. We were on the second floor and couldn’t hear anything. Staff at both the hotel and restaurant were fantastic. Our room was very roomy and comfortable.
