Wellness Penzión Vila Mery

The hotel says customers have to notice them in case of late check-in, so we called the lobby around 20:15 on August 23 and a woman told us (on a dry and quite bothered tone) to send an email, which she simply replied to that it is fine to arrive late because the lobby is open 24/7. Upon our arrival, we got welcomed by a nice man at the lobby. We were glad it was not the same woman. The hotel is well-kept but looks more like a campsite. The room is not very nice for the price point, however we appreciate it was very clean. The lighting is awful though and it was impossible to create a nice atmosphere. Furthermore, the pillows are either way to small (flat like a carpet and small like a A4 paper sheet) or so big and high that you will snap your neck trying to sleep on them. The biggest surprise was the next morning, when the hotel blasted loud music starting from 08:00 non-stop. We could have sung along from our bed if we wanted to. So we went to the breakfast because it was literally impossible to sleep in. Do not expect a quiet start of the day. There are kids screaming and running around everywhere because of the playground located inside the restaurant. It was impossible to find a table away from the noise. The choice of food was poor and the quality was questionable, but one of the staff member was very nice to us. At last, the woman at check-out was very very nice but we felt relieve to finally leave this place. Very expensive for what it is...

Nice place. Very Cozy. Breakfast was average but not bad. Urquell was served on draft :-)

Nice place. Apt is spacious and the staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet selection is small but the food is of good quality. It's a 15 min walk into town or the railway station. Recommended.

Amazing stay and such accommodating staff/owners

This property encompasses a couple of buildings and a large backyard. There is an open air restaurant on site for food and beverages. The friendly staff speaks English which was very helpful. It is a 5 minute walk to the town of Poprad for anyone who wants more dining options. Very nice stop close to the Tatra Mountains
