Although the lady at reception was very friendly and helpful, the motel is unfortunately in a very poor condition. The room was located on the street side and extremely noisy with roadworks and traffic during the day and traffic at night. The door to the room was hard to open, it was stuck on a desk too wide that stopped the door from opening smoothly. There was a desk but no chair to sit at it, shower curtain hooks on rail, but no shower curtain, the small wardrobe had not even one coat hanger, the toilet bowl was in dire need of a serious scrub, the grass in the pool area was in need of a mowing and a tidy up, not an inviting area. I know it is a budget motel and did not expect too high a standard, however some standards of presentation and service should always be maintained.

It was great that our room had been serviced for our 2nd night's stay. We chose to stay here so we could walk to all the tourist attractions on our list, which was many, leaving my car parked safely at the motel...it didn't disappoint. All much appreciated thank you.

Very good place for an overnight stay. The room was clean and comfortable. But the best thing about the Maryborough City Motel is the people who run it. They are truly passionate about hospitality, and it shows in the way they treat their guests. We felt like we were really welcome there, and we would definitely stay there again.

Unfortunately the condition of the unit was both extremely small and needing some urgent TLC. Bed was comfortable. Host was courteous and friendly. Our unit suffered from constant smoking of permanent residents in surrounding units. Will not be staying again.

The actual motel was pretty average; perfect for a place to shower and sleep but nothing special. However, I'd definitely stay here again as the man who checked us in was extremely friendly and helpful, and it felt like good old fashioned service, where they genuinely want you to enjoy your stay, rather than it all being about money.

Terrible repairs and renovations aside, everything in the sparse room worked, and the bed was comfortable. Noisey guests until midnight, and road noise made sleep difficult. There was a desk but no chair to sit at it, shower curtain hooks on rail, but no shower curtain, the small wardrobe had not even one coat hanger, the toilet bowl was in dire need of a serious scrub, the grass in the pool area was in need of a mowing and a tidy up, not an inviting area. I know it is a budget motel and did not expect too high a standard, however some standards of presentation and service should always be maintained.

Older property with older facilities. Good sized family room. Walking distance into city centre. Parking onsite was convenient and easy to access in 4wd. Check-in was easy and good communication from motel. Clean room. Great sized smart TV with internet access, able to log on and watch streaming services.
