A very pleasant stay and excellent service. We were initially concerned about the lack of private parking, but the nearby covered public parking is very close, and the hotel offers a discount for it. The absence of air conditioning was not an issue thanks to the use of fans and ventilators. The location near the city center and the beautiful view of the castle made our stay even more special.

A wonderful rehab of an old building - modern and clean with an unexpected but welcoming Tex-Mex theme! The employees were all great and the dinner options were excellent. The included Continental breakfast was OK but somewhat limited. We would definitely stay there again and budget more time to explore the city.

A simple hotel close to the old town. Everything was nice. The only negative is a room on the fourth floor without an elevator. It could be a challenge for somebody.

We visited Switzerland in July as a family of 4, with two children ages 17 and 12. Parking- There is no parking on site, but a very close garage about 2 minutes walk away. You will need to roll your luggage up a small hill from the garage so be prepared for that. The hotel is very well located to the town, and getting around via foot from the hotel is very easy! Check-in- Upon reaching the hotel, there is a small flight of stairs you must go up to enter the front door. Right inside is a restaurant that is Tex-Mex themed (being from Texas, this was a cute surprise) where you will check in and get your key to your room. Our room was outfitted with a queen sized bed and two roller beds for the kids. The windows opened for a nice breeze to keep the room cool, and they even had a fan set up to keep the air flowing. The room itself was clean and comfortable. An amazing bonus was the complementary breakfast every morning! The restaurant had a table waiting for us every day, and the food was perfect for us to get our day started. It's not a full hot breakfast, but a nice mix of meats & cheese, pastries, cold items, fruits, and cereals. Extra- We visited Thun in the middle of our 18 day European Trip, and had heard that there was a great laundry service there right around the block from the hotel. We dropped off our dirty clothes and picked them up the next day folded and sorted. They were fast and it wasn't expensive at all!

Eine sehr positive Überraschung. Das Zimmer gemütlich und mit allem was es braucht! Ich habe herrlich geschlafen und wurde richtig verwöhnt beim Frühstück, einfach top! Das Restaurant ist definitiv auch einen Besuch wert. Gerne wieder!

Es un hotel bastante cómodo y agradable, sólo hay que tomar en cuenta que no cuenta con ascensor y si llevas equipaje pesado, puede ser un poco complicado, de igual manera me hospedé en verano y hace bastante calor, aunque tiene ventilador de techo y otro de pedestal, pues es un poco incómodo, pero Tiene buen precio y está con la atención del personal que siempre están dispuestos a ayudarte.

Kleines süsses Hotel im Zentrum von Thun,mit Ausblick auf das Schloss. Die Zimmer waren stilvoll eingerichtet, die Betten sehr bequem und der Balkon gemütlich. Leider war es eher kühl im Raum( kleiner alter Heizkörper) und es war sehr ringhörig, so das man vom Nachbarzimmer fast jedes Wort verstehen konnte.Das Restaurant war mega! Das Service Personal war extrem schnell und aufmerksam. Die wissen wie Gastro funktioniert! Das Essen war sehr lecker! Könnte sein das wir wieder einmal dorthin gehen.

We paid almost $300 for one night and were extremely disappointed. There was no elevator, forcing us to carry our luggage up a flight of stairs. The room itself was stifling, with no windows and no air conditioning. The noise from the street intersection was also incredibly loud and disruptive. For this price, basic amenities and a quiet room should be a given. This was an unacceptable experience, and we are requesting a refund or a credit.

I enjoyed my stay here. The staff were extremely friendly and my room was very clean and comfortable. I was able to leave my luggage with them when I got there in the morning and they moved them to my room when it was ready. There isn't an elevator but it was fine since I was only on the first floor. Location was great as I was able to catch the local bus right outside. I found it was very quiet - the windows are excellent in terms of keeping the traffic noise out. I would definitely stay there again. checking in/out was super easy!

This was such a wonderful stay for us during our 3 nights in Thun. The room was perfect for just two of us and everything was comfortable and clean. I only wish there were a few more outlets in the room to plug our electronics into, but that didn’t pull away from it being such a great hotel. Breakfast was a great option to sit and have a coffee, yogurt, and some fresh pastries before you headed out for the day. I would highly recommend staying here as it is close enough to the train station (10-12minutes), and close to shipping and dining options. Plus we had a view of Thin castle outside our balcony which was great! Thanks again for a wonderful stay.

Loved this gem of a hotel! Our "family room" was perfect for the 5 of us. The room and bathroom looked very newly renovated and the beds were quite comfortable. It was also in the perfect location for our one day and night in the beautiful city of Thun. I especially loved the hostess's recommendation for places to swim and bridge jump.

Absolutely stunning property, central location and wonderful staff. No AC which is common and not a big deal as the windows open and many fans are provided for each room. Would recommend this stay to anyone coming to Thun!

Gezellig klein, historisch stadshotel met vriendelijk personeel. Goede locatie in het centrum met een groot terras. Kamer is heel klein met nauwelijks daglicht. Ook de douche is voor grote mensen een uitdaging. Ontbijt is simpel zonder warme gerechten.

The hotel is good and staff is nice but the window opens to the main street and due to lack of AC during summer it is just hard to sleep with window open. And, if you keep the window close there is no ventilation and you will feel suffocated.

The property and room were exactly as advertised with lovely views of the castle and mountains. The staff, especially at breakfast were very attentive to the requests we had previous made regarding dietary requirements. They were friendly and informative, especially Jana. Had a lovely stay in the picturesque town of Thun.

Lovely place and location. The lady who greeted us was very welcoming and friendly, and we were able to check in a couple of hours early, just having to wait a short while as they got it ready for us. I recommend spending the tiny bit extra for the balcony - it was nice sitting out there on a warm evening

Leider war es eher kühl im Raum( kleiner alter Heizkörper) und es war sehr ringhörig, so das man vom Nachbarzimmer fast jedes Wort verstehen konnte.Das Restaurant war mega! Das Service Personal war extrem schnell und aufmerksam. Die wissen wie Gastro funktioniert! Das Essen war sehr lecker! Könnte sein das wir wieder einmal dorthin gehen.

We paid almost $300 for one night and were extremely disappointed. There was no elevator, forcing us to carry our luggage up a flight of stairs. The room itself was stifling, with no windows and no air conditioning. The noise from the street intersection was also incredibly loud and disruptive. For this price, basic amenities and a quiet room should be a given. This was an unacceptable experience, and we are requesting a refund or a credit.

I enjoyed my stay here. The staff were extremely friendly and my room was very clean and comfortable. I was able to leave my luggage with them when I got there in the morning and they moved them to my room when it was ready. There isn't an elevator but it was fine since I was only on the first floor. Location was great as I was able to catch the local bus right outside. I found it was very quiet - the windows are excellent in terms of keeping the traffic noise out. I would definitely stay there again. checking in/out was super easy!

The property and room were exactly as advertised with lovely views of the castle and mountains. The staff, especially at breakfast were very attentive to the requests we had previous made regarding dietary requirements. They were friendly and informative, especially Jana. Had a lovely stay in the picturesque town of Thun.

Lovely place and location. The lady who greeted us was very welcoming and friendly, and we were able to check in a couple of hours early, just having to wait a short while as they got it ready for us. I recommend spending the tiny bit extra for the balcony - it was nice sitting out there on a warm evening

A very pleasant stay and excellent service. We were initially concerned about the lack of private parking, but the nearby covered public parking is very close, and the hotel offers a discount for it. The absence of air conditioning was not an issue thanks to the use of fans and ventilators. The location near the city center and the beautiful view of the castle made our stay even more special.

We visited Switzerland in July as a family of 4, with two children ages 17 and 12. Parking- There is no parking on site, but a very close garage about 2 minutes walk away. You will need to roll your luggage up a small hill from the garage so be prepared for that. The hotel is very well located to the town, and getting around via foot from the hotel is very easy! Check-in- Upon reaching the hotel, there is a small flight of stairs you must go up to enter the front door. Right inside is a restaurant that is Tex-Mex themed (being from Texas, this was a cute surprise) where you will check in and get your key to your room. Our room was outfitted with a queen sized bed and two roller beds for the kids. The windows opened for a nice breeze to keep the room cool, and they even had a fan set up to keep the air flowing. The room itself was clean and comfortable. An amazing bonus was the complementary breakfast every morning! The restaurant had a table waiting for us every day, and the food was perfect for us to get our day started. It's not a full hot breakfast, but a nice mix of meats & cheese, pastries, cold items, fruits, and cereals. Extra- We visited Thun in the middle of our 18 day European Trip, and had heard that there was a great laundry service there right around the block from the hotel. We dropped off our dirty clothes and picked them up the next day folded and sorted. They were fast and it wasn't expensive at all!

Das Hotel und mein Zimmer waren etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Das Tex-Mex Restaurant des Hotels war gut. Das Frühstück sehr überschaubar. Frühstückseier zum Selberkochen in der Handhabung etwas kompliziert. Das Personal war immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

A wonderful rehab of an old building - modern and clean with an unexpected but welcoming Tex-Mex theme! The employees were all great and the dinner options were excellent. The included Continental breakfast was OK but somewhat limited. We would definitely stay there again and budget more time to explore the city.

Eine sehr positive Überraschung. Das Zimmer gemütlich und mit allem was es braucht! Ich habe herrlich geschlafen und wurde richtig verwöhnt beim Frühstück, einfach top! Das Restaurant ist definitiv auch einen Besuch wert. Gerne wieder!

Kleines süsses Hotel im Zentrum von Thun,mit Ausblick auf das Schloss. Die Zimmer waren stilvoll eingerichtet, die Betten sehr bequem und der Balkon gemütlich. Gammalt hus med ny färg på väggarna i rummet och badrum, nej detta var inte bra! Fina foto men levde inte upp i verkligheten! Hit återvänder vi aldrig.

Super freundlicher Empfang. Wir wurden vorher informiert, dass unser gebuchtes Zimmer klein ist, so konnten wir uns darauf einstellen - so nett , dass es kommuniziert wurde! Das Zimmer war tip top, klein aber fein. Sehr schön gepflegt und bedacht eingerichtet. Im mittleren Stock gratis Kaffee und Snacks und Getränke, die man per Karte bezahlen konnte - wieder top. Viele liebevolle Details im Western Stil. Im Restaurant haben wir zwar nicht gegessen, aber das Frühstück war auch super! Leider konnten wir die hübsche stimmige Terrasse nicht geniessen, da wir zuwenig Zeit hatten. Wir kommen aber bestimmt wieder und holen das nach!

L'hôtel est proche du centre ville. Chambre spacieuse, salle de bains parfaite pour nos besoins. Bon petit déjeuner en rapport avec son prix. Par contre, nous y sommes allés en période de canicule et il faisait très chaud dans la chambre, sans climatisation. Juste un ventilateur. L'hôtel se trouvant sur un carrefour important, impossible de dormis les fenêtres ouvertes.

The hotel location is excellent. We parked close by and this was validated by the hotel. The hotel is a short walk to the lake and is highly recommended for an amazing view. Hotel staff were extremely helpful and the hotel restaurant was superb. Tex-Mex - wasn’t expecting it to be as good as it was. Couple of negatives - we travelled during the summer months and the room didn’t have aircon. It was uncomfortably hot. The room had a fan but we all struggled to sleep during the nights we stayed. Bit of a shame and very tiring. The other negative and probably not a hotel issue. Accommodation tax!! Horrible…you budget for your stay and then an additional charge is incurred during check-in. Should either be included upfront of hotel booking or not charged at all.
