The cottage was very clean and beds were very comfortable. It had good heating and the spa was lovely. Breakfast was provided but we did stay 2 nights and felt that the provisions were only for 1 night especially when 4 people booked. We used the resturant and the meal was generous and nice. Dietary requirements were catered for. Unfortunately communication and service could have been better. Overall we enjoyed our stay but a few improvements would help to maintain cliental and see people return.

It's super quiet and lots of birds around to identify, lots of places to walk after dinner. Great location to our family in Yarra Junction and Healesville. There were a few issues that do need a mention and do need to be rectified (e.g. light hanging from ceiling, kitchen extractor looks like it's about to fall off the wall, second room had no door handle). The fans above the beds need a really good dust, and the TV needs a serious upgrade to a Smart TV. The dishwasher isn't working properly and items are coming out dirty. We stayed three nights so some extra bin liners and dishwasher tabs would have been appreciated. Other than this, there was complimentary wine, chocolates and facilities for breakfast - which we thoroughly enjoyed. The spa was amazing, the beds were comfortable and LOTS of available pillows. Wonderful 2 night stay. Walked into our beautifully appointed Lotus Villa to find Tim Tams, bottle of house wine cooling in fridge, fresh loaf of bread and condiments/butter, yoghurt, cereal, jar of fruit medley, bacon and eggs. Everything was so clean and so much space! The huge spa bath was terrific too! Gardens and surrounds were beautiful and the restaurant was a lovely meal. Staff were extremely friendly. Will definitely be back.

Property still has the original charm, but the overall maintenance of the vineyard was poor. Change of management since the retirement of the original owners. The vines are dead, the lotus in the pond were all dead and the greens around the verendah were overgrown.

Had the best time and the little extra of breakfast and wine tasting was so lovely. First time I’ve ever felt appreciated for booking a hotel! Kids loved it also. Highly recommend!

Cleanliness was excellent. However the advertisement is misleading. When it states breakfast provided, it means eggs and bacon in fridge to DIY. For $20 less could have had a room a Yarra lodge with buffet breakfast. Restaurant was closed. Won't be going there again . Need to communicate amenities better not to mislead customers.

The room seemed quite run down. There was at least one (or more) light bulb that was out in each room. The kitchen tap sprayed water all over the place, the showers were meh. The beds were comfy enough. The doonas were just between two sheets and not in a cover though. The front door was never "locked" of you were inside (you can lock it, but it only locked the outside) making it VERY difficult to keep a toddler inside. There was only 1 teaspoon? The jetty over the water seemed run down and in need of a stain/paint, the posts were rotting, seemed a little unsafe. There was grass growing in the gutter and water marks in the ourside ceiling suggesting a leak. Never saw a staff member, at check in (before 5pm) I had to call because no one was there, and I was told where the key was left and to let myself in.. not the most welcoming as it says between 2 to 5 reception is available.. The man was polite enough though. Never went to the cellar door or restaurant as it didn't seem to be open? It definitely has potential. The fridge was well stocked with breakfast goodies and milk/bread etc. That was nice. Hair dryer and Iron supplied worked well. Linen/towels etc were clean and soft. Heater worked well.

Property is looking tired, is not well maintained & is not properly cleaned. Cracks in walls, Shower door didn’t close properly. Spiders in room. On the plus side the beds were comfortable. The entire property requires a substantial upgrade. We would not stay there again.

Very clean property. Very nice place. Overall we loved the place and we enjoyed our stay. One suggestion we would make is - May be it is time to update the TV to a smart TV. It would have been very nice when it was very rainy and we had to stay indoors

Check in & location was good. WiFi was terrible! Property condition could do with some basic maintenance. We had a dirty glass sitting on the side table from the previous guest, the bathroom smelled of cigarettes & some of the amenities need to be refixed to the wall as they were just hanging on. Curtain hooks throughout were missing leaving them look untidy & number of light globes weren't working

We had a very nice 1 bedroom house with a patio that overlooked a lily pond. We had plenty of room and enjoyed the electric fireplace and breakfast goodies left for us. It was lovely walking around the property. We had a little trouble checking in as we were traveling from the USA but we got it figured out.

Beautiful 2 bedrooms and very spacious kitchen and lounge. Excellent extras for breakfast, our room overlooked the pond which was lovely. Very peaceful and the check in lady was very helpful. Highlyrecommend.

Very comfortable beds, clean, well equipped, easy check in and out. Lovely garden view, staff courteous,great big comfortable rooms. Very thoughtful to have breakfast food available to cook. Well equipped kitchen. I highly recommend staying here. I will come again

We had a very nice 1 bedroom house with a patio that overlooked a lily pond. We had plenty of room and enjoyed the electric fireplace and breakfast goodies left for us. It was lovely walking around the property. We had a little trouble checking in as we were traveling from the USA but we got it figured out.

Wonderful 2 night stay. Walked into our beautifully appointed Lotus Villa to find Tim Tams, bottle of house wine cooling in fridge, fresh loaf of bread and condiments/butter, yoghurt, cereal, jar of fruit medley, bacon and eggs. Everything was so clean and so much space! The huge spa bath was terrific too! Gardens and surrounds were beautiful and the restaurant was a lovely meal. Staff were extremely friendly. Will definitely be back.

The welcome was poor along with communication. I was told upon arrival that i owed payment, despite having already fully paid wotif on the 4th. I was told to take the key and the manager would look into it as they were busy, when i asked at dinner if all was ok the staff wasnt aware of anything. It would have been nice for the manager to confirm with me that all was ok, rather than letting me worry about it. Accommodation was ok, but a bit tired looking with some bits of repair needed.

The room seemed quite run down. There was at least one (or more) light bulb that was out in each room. The kitchen tap sprayed water all over the place, the showers were meh. The beds were comfy enough. The doonas were just between two sheets and not in a cover though. The front door was never "locked" of you were inside (you can lock it, but it only locked the outside) making it VERY difficult to keep a toddler inside. There was only 1 teaspoon? The jetty over the water seemed run down and in need of a stain/paint, the posts were rotting, seemed a little unsafe. There was grass growing in the gutter and water marks in the ourside ceiling suggesting a leak. Never saw a staff member, at check in (before 5pm) I had to call because no one was there, and I was told where the key was left and to let myself in.. not the most welcoming as it says between 2 to 5 reception is available.. The man was polite enough though. Never went to the cellar door or restaurant as it didn't seem to be open? It definitely has potential. The fridge was well stocked with breakfast goodies and milk/bread etc. That was nice. Hair dryer and Iron supplied worked well. Linen/towels etc were clean and soft. Heater worked well.

It's super quiet and lots of birds around to identify, lots of places to walk after dinner. Great location to our family in Yarra Junction and Healesville. There were a few issues that do need a mention and do need to be rectified (e.g. light hanging from ceiling, kitchen extractor looks like it's about to fall off the wall, second room had no door handle). The fans above the beds need a really good dust, and the TV needs a serious upgrade to a Smart TV. The dishwasher isn't working properly and items are coming out dirty. We stayed three nights so some extra bin liners and dishwasher tabs would have been appreciated. Other than this, there was complimentary wine, chocolates and facilities for breakfast - which we thoroughly enjoyed. The spa was amazing, the beds were comfortable and LOTS of available pillows. We had a really great stay, just some minor adjustments needed.

The cottage was very clean and beds were very comfortable. It had good heating and the spa was lovely. Breakfast was provided but we did stay 2 nights and felt that the provisions were only for 1 night especially when 4 people booked. We used the resturant and the meal was generous and nice. Dietary requirements were catered for. Unfortunately communication and service could have been better. Overall we enjoyed our stay but a few improvements would help to maintain cliental and see people return.

Had the best time and the little extra of breakfast and wine tasting was so lovely. First time I’ve ever felt appreciated for booking a hotel! Kids loved it also. Highly recommend!

Cleanliness was excellent. However the advertisement is misleading. When it states breakfast provided, it means eggs and bacon in fridge to DIY. For $20 less could have had a room a Yarra lodge with buffet breakfast. Restaurant was closed. Won't be going there again . Need to communicate amenities better not to mislead customers.

Fabulous wine tasting with an enthusiastic staffer. Merlot Cottage was fine for us, but the curtains need rehanging, freezer needs defrosting, soup spoons for breakfast? and not enough breakfast for 4 days. Eggs, bacon, bread, milk cereal and jams are provided for breakfast. The setting and location are great and the cottage was spacious, warm, clean with a comfy couch and bed. Old style charm.

Location was the only Plus !! We booked at this estate because it was offering Morning breakfast. It also showed a restaurant which offered Lunch and Dinner!! It was a total disappointment! When we contacted for the breakfast, the guy told us he will keep it outside our door. We expected breakfast that was already made but what we got was the ingredients to make breakfast! On top of that, he sent us raw bacon and we don't eat Bacon or Beef!! Next day, he sent us a box of eggs. There were cockroaches, cobwebs, dirty carpets. Totally unhygienic for kids. Both the kids got sick there! He told us on the checkin day that there was no Internet since more than a week! On the last day, the guy didn't take our call at all! Not called back. We tried 2 times, but no luck. There were no bin bags to put rubbish in. The stay was a disaste. We had to spent most of our time outside. The property is beautiful and they are not managing it !! I Don't recommend!! I am writing this review just after checking out!!
