Heydt Homestead

Gorgeous, cozy, and character-filled house in the heart of West Virginia. We were lucky enough to stay here for Memorial Day weekend this year, and are so happy we did! The house had every amenity we could ask for, was furnished with beautiful art, and had an undeniable charm - all while being situated in the middle of the picturesque Appalachian mountains. This listing was very easy to access, very close to nearby hiking (we loved Dolly Sods and Seneca Rock), and conveniently close to a general store and restaurant. The owners and caretaker were very pleasant and very informative. Overall, this was one of our favorite houses to date, and we hope to be able to come back soon!

Perfect home-base for a friends hiking trip!

Great location, great communication, beautiful home. Only issue was the electronic lock combo wasn’t in the checkin directions. However, a quick trip down the hill and Garrett and Isabelle responded to my message in less than 5 minutes. Highly recommended.
