Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen (so wie die ganze Stadt), Zimmer haben einen schönen Ausblick aufs Meer, Personal ist freundlich aber spricht wenig Englisch. Das zugehörige Spa/ Onsen ist aber definitiv empfehlenswert, 1 Besuch war bei Übernachtung inklusive.

We booked an excellency room to enjoy a private onsen. The room was wonderful with 2 beds and tatami mats for the kids. The couch that looks out over the bay is a wonderful place to relax. We enjoyed a drink in the lounge, dinner in the restaurant, and also the breakfast buffet. Staff were wonderful. The private onsen was very relaxing too. Highly recommend this wonderful hotel.

The hotel is located at the end of the pier, so it's not the most convenient choice if you're hoping to walk around Atami and explore the town. The facilities were generally clean, but they felt somewhat dated, particularly the public bath. The complimentary shuttle was also extremely crowded around check-in time. It was difficult to board, and I found myself wondering why additional shuttle services weren't added during this peak period. One important note for international travelers with tattoos: I was informed that guests with tattoos are not permitted to use the public bath. Unlike some other hotels with similar policies, this property does not provide tattoo cover stickers or alternative accommodations. If you have tattoos and plan to use the onsen, it's worth confirming the policy before booking. I also found communication somewhat challenging, as the staff had limited English proficiency. I completely understand if the hotel primarily caters to domestic Japanese travelers. However, if that is the case, it would be helpful for this to be communicated more clearly on international booking platforms such as Hotels.com so that overseas guests can make a more informed decision before booking.
