You can walk the entire hotel barefoot since it is lined with tatame mats. Hotel offered all you can eat noodles, yokult and ice-cream at different hours of the day. There were so many onsen options: (1) personal (on your balcony), (2) private and (3) common. There were a good varieties within the private and common onsens. Amazing experience.

The facilities were great, although shared facilities with another sister hotel makes for a lot of wait time for private onsens. The food was disappointing and feels more like mass produced food with not a lot of care unlike a smaller ryokan.

以前コロナ禍で宿泊した際には気付けなかった施設の破損部分が目につき残念サウナの非常用ボタン、岩盤浴サウナの故障、隣の部屋との境になっている壁、部屋風呂の簾などなどしかしながらスタッフサービスはとても良い

Average services, I rate both good and bad. Good is the inclusive meals (optional during booking), I was given a lot of quality food in a presentable traditional Japanese setting, but bad is that my booking includes 2 adults and 1 kid, the hotel told me I needed to pay extra for my kids staying (I had no choice so I paid) and tried to charge me other items like extra bed, extra meal for my kid (I rejected these). I hate how the hotel manage bookings and dishonesty as I had already paid my booking for 3 members in full but then got charged extra when I arrived without any email communication before I check-in, other major problem to the overall experience is that most of the staffs speak broken English and even not understand, I find it very difficult to communicate, also both indoor and outdoor onsen water is all dirty, the outdoor onsen water is not even hot.

彼女との記念日で使用しましたが、とても満足いく結果となりました。スタッフの質も高く、館内も綺麗で食事も美味しく、非の打ち所がなかったです。またここに泊まりたいと思える、そんな場所でした。

ホテル内の移動が靴下若しくは素足での移動でしたがそれでも全体的に清潔で安心できました。また、スタッフの対応も丁寧で温泉も落ち着いて利用できたので満足できました。夜観光では、湯畑のライトアップを観に行く際にもシャトルバスを運行していたので気楽に行けるのが有り難かったです。夜のサービスで夜鳴きそばを頂けましたが、遅い時間に対して皆さん行かれるようで、席が空いていなかったので食べられなかったです。食べたければ早めに行くようにしたほうがいいと思います。悲しかった所として、恐らく１階の部屋のみだと思いますが、季節によっては虫さんが多く訪れるところです。私は屋内のシャワールームにてウェルカムカマドウマサービスを受けました。屋外はしょうがないのですが、屋内は清掃時にしっかり確認していただきたいところでした。

The hotel is brilliant overall. The room was big and clean, with the needed toiletries. The heating might be too warm for my partner and me, and we had to leave the balcony door open to let in fresh air. We definitely love the Japanese balcony and onsen bath. The food for dinner and breakfast was local and delicious. It's easier to get to the hotel if you drive. The hotel does provide shuttles. It would be better if the young staff could learn better English as there were plenty of international tourists. It did create some funny embarrassment. For instances, I was not given my pair of shoes but wooden sandals to wear in order to park my car properly in the right parking space; I was not given my room keys during check-in though we were in a hurry to dine. To our surprise, the staff member with the best English was the young lady serving us at the restaurant. We'd like to thank her for this. (P.S. I do speak some Japanese.) Overall, it was a great experience, and we enjoyed the stay.

我們被安排在最低樓層，用私人風呂時要很小心否則會被外面和樓下經過的人看光光，和家人一起浸浴時，說話聲音都要很小聲。房屋外面的風景沒有很特別，主要是體驗下草津的溫泉酒店設施和服務。6/10分大浴場的露天風呂很不錯，空間尚算大，7/10分基本上9成職員都很有善和用心協助旅客，有shuttle 來往輕井澤和草津，9/10分酒店內有很多不同的風呂可以試，我們選擇的是一泊二食方案，早餐和晚餐都豐富，雖然味道不是很出色，但是整體體驗很不錯，7/10分個人認為比起其他有特別自然景色的溫泉旅館，此間酒店略微比下去，價格略貴，不太值得，但能體驗草津的溫泉都可值得一試。

Almost everything is fantastic, except one - air conditioning。 The air conditioning kept blowing warm wind, even we had adjusted as lowest temperature could be set(16'C)。 Tried several time and checked with hotel staff, the issue remained. Only option was to keep the terrace door slightly open to get some cold / fresh air into room, while must return off the air conditioning when leaving the room.

For instances, I was not given my pair of shoes but wooden sandals to wear in order to park my car properly in the right parking space; I was not given my room keys during check-in though we were in a hurry to dine. To our surprise, the staff member with the best English was the young lady serving us at the restaurant. We'd like to thank her for this. (P.S. I do speak some Japanese.) Overall, it was a great experience, and we enjoyed the stay.

The onsen is very good. Hotel environment is cozy. We forgot the stroller at the hotel. The hotel couriered the stroller to Hong Kong for free. The service impressed us.

Excellent stay and great staff. English speaking was somewhat limited and getting there was a bit difficult without much Japanese. So, I would definitely recommend for any tourists who speak more Japanese than me :)

従業員の方がバタバタし過ぎかな？って感じました混んでいたから仕方ないかとは思いますお会計後帰るとき他の旅館とは違い挨拶がほぼ感じられなかったシャトルバスの方はとても丁寧でしたありがとうございました

The hotel is brilliant overall. The room was big and clean, with the needed toiletries. The heating might be too warm for my partner and me, and we had to leave the balcony door open to let in fresh air. We definitely love the Japanese balcony and onsen bath. The food for dinner and breakfast was local and delicious. It's easier to get to the hotel if you drive. The hotel does provide shuttles. It would be better if the young staff could learn better English as there were plenty of international tourists. It did create some funny embarrassment. Loved my stay here. The property has several onsens to try, and the accomodation and dining was also good quality. Appreciate the small gestures such as free ice cream and ramen and different times of the day. One thing to note though is that the hotel is not close to the city centre, and although a free shuttle bus service is provided, it can be quite packed at times.

ホテルから湯畑までの送迎バスがあり、駐車場悩むことなく、草津温泉街を巡れたこと。夕食時間が５時からと早い時間帯でしたが、夜の湯畑のライトアップを見れる時間としてのバスの時間を提案していただき楽しめました。欲を言えば、9時台の送迎があればもう少しゆっくりとできたと思います。

최고의 숙소에서 너무나도 잘쉬고 잘먹고 갔습니다. 유바다케하고는 도보로 15분 정도 소요되나 숙소위치가 복잡하지않고 주차장이 있어서 너무 좋았습니다. 시설과 가이세키, 조식 너무나도 만족스러웠고,직원들께서도 친절하셔서 만족스럽고 잘쉬다 갔습니다. *사진은 일부만 올립니다 ^^

客室、設備、その他サービスは5⭐️だと思います。ただし、食事は最悪。我々は夫婦と娘と娘孫(小1)の4人で利用しましたが、16時チェックイン時にチェックインが遅いので夕食は20時15分からと設定されました。大人だけなら耐えれますが、子供には耐えられません。また何と髪の毛入りの食材が。最悪。

The facilities were great, although shared facilities with another sister hotel makes for a lot of wait time for private onsens. The food was disappointing and feels more like mass produced food with not a lot of care unlike a smaller ryokan.

This is a beautiful onsen with a friendly hard working staff. My only complaint is that there are no options for breakfast. We have stayed at several onsen in the past that offer traditional Japanese breakfast or western breakfast. I’m kind of picky about seafood, and I don’t like it for breakfast. My breakfast was mainly hoke, a whole (head to tail) grilled fish.

Building is traditional, serene yet elegant decorations, nice choices in kimono or samue to relax… and hot bathes are just fantastic! Breakfasts and dinners are too die for… I will definitely visit again!!

Exceptional experience, from the very first shuttle pick-up at the bus terminal, to arriving the resort greeted by the staffs, check-in process is easy and warm. The room is detailed with Japanese accents making the stays very enjoyable. The dinner and breakfast are also an exceptional. Highly recommended!

Great stay! Staff was friendly and courteous. I really enjoyed the private onsen in the room and 3 private outdoor onsens. In addition, there is a free shuttle bus to the bus terminal near the center of town and Yubatake. Will definitely come back!

Do not pay for the kaiseki breakfast and lunch it is really not worth it. The onsens and the staff are great. But avoid paying for the diner and breakfast. When we pay more than 500 usd per night we expect the possibility to choose a vegetarian meal. But they just refused. They offer a list of 28 ingredients that you have to remove all together (including sea food, eggs, milk....and some meat). And even if you order this, they still can serve you lamb or duck... It is not my first high end ryokan but it is th first time i see this kind of process.... The kaiseki is a big part of the price we pay and it is definetely not worth it...
