AC was very noisy, and so turned off at night. No elevator to second floor. We were thus given the last first floor room (appreciated), and forewarned it smelled of cigarette smoke. Sink is outside of outside of bathroom, but both are controlled by one light switch - not ideal if one wants bathroom light on at night.

Free parking is all I can say that was good! Dining room wasn’t available on Saturday because of a private event which I wasn’t told at check in. No restaurants near by. Drive to the pier or take bus.

Deadbolt lock on the outside of the door, no key for it and no security latch on the inside. Sketchy neighborhood as well. We were so uncomfortable that we sat in the room for 45 minutes just looking for somewhere else to stay.

The guy who checked me in was unfriendly and made me feel like I shouldn’t have brought pets even though they’re “pet friendly” and I already had messaged them, and received a response that my 2 dogs and cat were very welcome. Small pet fee, no problem at all. I stayed 2 nights and they held a $300 damage deposit on top of my $400+ stay. It was returned to me but I think they should warn people up front. Also the description says all rooms have AC, definitely not true. No AC in 22, and you’re right at the entrance so opening the window is not ideal, very busy. Floors were pretty dirty. No microwave. Bathroom could really use some basic updates, the tub looks filthy because it’s so worn through. Caulking needs replaced badly too and the shower head needs CLR. Breakfast was very tasty, and the gal working at the restaurant was fantastic, I really liked her! And my checkout experience was great too, lovely lady helped me out and was super friendly even though she was really busy at the moment! Overall it was a fine landing place for me and my pets, who just drove across the country from Alberta. And there’s a park that’s dog friendly (leash required) only a few minutes away.

Staff are very nice. Very short of plug ins to charge devices. Had to move furniture around to get at the limited plug ins. The furniture very old, and looked like something out of an estate sale. Bed was comfortable.Fan in bathroom very dirty. Parking fine. It’s a bit of a drive to downtown. You get what you pay for.

The room smelled like urine. The bathroom was very small. There was not a light by the sink which was outside of tbe bathroom so you had to leave the noisy light/fan on to see at the sink. Will never stay there again!!

The room was spacious and was decorated comfortably with adequate TV channels. It was also better affordable compared to most other alternatives we viewed for that area. It had a nice size mini-fridge but did not have a microwave.The beds were somewhat stiff and two of our party found them too hard. There was a leak under the sink when it was used. But generally it was an okay place.

The property itself is more than suitable, the rooms are dated but new bedding, drapes and such gave the room a facelift. The beds were comfortable. The AC is from another century and gives a whisper of cold air. The rooms have limited outlets, bring a power bar for charging devices. No microwave in room annoys me to no end but one is available at the front desk, very inconvenient but it is what it is. The toilet is separate from the sink area but the lights are not. You're either going to the bathroom at night in the dark or waking up everyone with the lights. The staff is absolutely amazing!! The only negative about the motel: the bulb in one of the over the bed sconce light broke as soon as we tried to move it slightly. The area however is very sketchy, 2 cop cars next door when we arrived, some long term tenants in the motel, obvious drinking and drug use witnessed.

This property is very old and looks it. The air conditioners are very old and very noisy. There were 3 of us included in the booking but only two bath towels provided. No extra pillows. Bath was clean but age stained yellow. electrical outlet so worn plug would not stay in. Check in was good. Early morning check out was longer than expected.No fault of the clerk, rather the failure of a piece of electronic equipment to process the transaction.

It’s an older hotel/motel (keys, not keycards) but they had the most comfortable bed of the entire trip. Slept so well. The attached diner has a passable breakfast and the room is tired, but clean and orderly. Granted, you’re in Halifax, your hotel room shouldn’t be the view you’re looking for!

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff right from check in were very polite and accommodating. The bed was super comfortable with lots of pillows and blankets. The only concern we had was the lights outside of our room were so bright they illuminated our room, making it hard to sleep. We would definitely stay here again but recommend some room darkening curtains.

Overall it was a fine landing place for me and my pets, who just drove across the country from Alberta. And there’s a park that’s dog friendly (leash required) only a few minutes away.

Free parking is all I can say that was good! Dining room wasn’t available on Saturday because of a private event which I wasn’t told at check in. No restaurants near by. Drive to the pier or take bus.

Checking in was both smooth & painless. Room was clean & comfortable. Room and washroom amenities were adequate. Good for a one night stay or passing through. The restaurant/pub serves pretty good food.

The property itself is more than suitable, the rooms are dated but new bedding, drapes and such gave the room a facelift. The beds were comfortable. The AC is from another century and gives a whisper of cold air. The rooms have limited outlets, bring a power bar for charging devices. No microwave in room annoys me to no end but one is available at the front desk, very inconvenient but it is what it is. The toilet is separate from the sink area but the lights are not. You're either going to the bathroom at night in the dark or waking up everyone with the lights. The staff is absolutely amazing!! The only negative about the motel: the bulb in one of the over the bed sconce light broke as soon as we tried to move it slightly. The area however is very sketchy, 2 cop cars next door when we arrived, some long term tenants in the motel, obvious drinking and drug use witnessed.

Staff are very nice. Very short of plug ins to charge devices. Had to move furniture around to get at the limited plug ins. The furniture very old, and looked like something out of an estate sale. Bed was comfortable.Fan in bathroom very dirty. Parking fine. It’s a bit of a drive to downtown. You get what you pay for.

The little restaurant they had was amazing 🙂 great prices friendly people 🙂 The beds were very comfortable with very nice pillows.bathroom was a little tiny but other then that it was a pleasant to day stay. The folks in the area also seem to be very, very nice as I went for a couple, tiny walks.

The staff were great. The property is not like the picture. It’s old and really outdated. The restaurant attached I would not recommend. Ordered food through skip the dishes.

Was dissappointed to find this was a motel, not an inn, as the name states. For just under two hundred dollars, it was very basic. Room was clean, beds/linen/pillows comfortable, but stuff like a common iron/ironing board (not one in the room but one somewhere in the facility to use/return) was a surprise request to the desk clerk. "No one asks us for an iron" was a stunning response that left me speechless. Attached diner served tasty, reasonably priced breakfast, that was packed with locals and guests. Letting people know they are booking at the "Chebucto Inn Motel" would be wise, in my opinion.

We used to stay here many years ago but then it gone run down so I was a little nervous staying here. The property has been improved although could use a little more. Wish they had at least Queen size beds! We have a king at home so we ended up sleeping in separate beds - while travelling to celebrate our 54th wedding anniversary. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the room was very clean, the linens were outstanding. One comment - most hotels give you 2 faceclothes and we usually ask for 2 more. We both shower every night so use a facecloth each and in the morning I like to have a clean facecloth to wash my face in the morning. We had breakfast in the dining room and it was comparable to any other and they were also able to accommodate my gluten allergy. I would stay there again. Hotel prices in Halifax are outrageous and this was the best price out of every site I looked at.
