I recently stayed at your property and while there were several positive aspects, there are a few areas that need improvement. Firstly, the staff could benefit from additional training to enhance their hospitality skills. Some personnel appeared inexperienced and at times, their demeanor was less than welcoming. Secondly, the breakfast options were not up to the standard expected for a restaurant of this caliber. A broader selection and higher quality offerings would greatly enhance the guest experience. The location of the property is excellent, being adjacent to the historical ruins. However, the ongoing construction caused a significant amount of dust, which detracted from the overall ambiance. Additionally, we booked a river view room, but found that the view was only accessible from higher floors. This was disappointing as it did not meet our expectations based on the booking description. On a positive note, the room itself was clean and well-kept, though the facilities seemed a bit dated. Addressing these issues would greatly improve the guest experience. The hotel is really nice, well located in the center of Ollantaytambo, and easy to walk to other places, including the train station. It was under renovations when we got there, so the restaurant wasn’t available, but they sent breakfast to our room, it was a little loud during the day. I would recommend it for your stay in the heart of the Sacred Valley, Ollantaytambo.

Just a nice, clean, very convenient property. Some rooms come with a balcony, some do not. The rooms were clean and comfortable albeit with a few ants in the bathroom. However, you're in a hotel in a village on the side of the mountains so a few ants shouldn't bother you. The breakfast (included) was tasty and fruits/veggies were fresh and tasty. My only negative comment would be the runny scrambled eggs (but that's a personal thing! :-) ) If you're looking for luxury hotel, this is not it; however, as mentioned, it is very clean, comfortable, and conveniently located. Power: Good, outlets will take American plugs. Internet: Good Staff: Friendly Cost: Reasonable Common Areas: Very comfortable/nice. Eggs: Not so good

The hotel as shown in the webpage dos not exist!!! Is under construction. It is just unbelievable that Expedia shows something that is not built!!! The alternative hotel, that we discovered by ourselves that is in a different location with another name is just terrible. Our reservations were just partially available and half of the rooms we got are just stinky, no tv, in a contiguous building by the parking lot, and beds very used. Not even a 1 star rooms. It really was a total scam!!!

Great location for access to Inka ruins. Less noise because its off the square , but easy walking to all stores and restaurants. Facility is in good repair and has attractive public spaces and comfortable room. But the lack of reliable wifi and an uncaring, almost oblivious staff,makes it easy to not recommend.

O Hotel está em reforma e não deixa isso claro. Um dos motivos que me fez reservar foi a vista para o rio no cafe da manha, mas devido à reforma eles alugaram um espaco ao lado (sem vista para o rio e um pouco lotado), mas o cafe da manha era bem ok (ovos, paes, geleias, iogurte, sucos e cafe). Ficamos no 1 andar e a agua nao esquentou a noite (precisei falar com a recepcao 2 vezes e esperei 45 min ate ter agua quente para o banho). A calefacao é automatica e ligada apenas as 20h, entao se estiver em um dia muito frio, tera problemas. Em geral, pelo preco cobrado, o hotel deveria entregar muito mais. A unica vantagem que vi foi a localizacao (no comeco da ladeira para a estacao de trem e mto proxima à entrada para o sitio arqueologico de Ollantaytambo).

Hotel super bem localizado, do lado da praça principal e das ruínas, uma curta caminhada para pegar o trem para Machu Picchu. Café da manhã e atendimento muito bom. Aconselho a pegar um quarto no piso de cima, com sacada e vista para ruínas. Além de ter janela para a parte externa que fica mais fresco, você tem uma vista maravilhosa para as ruínas, de tirar o fôlego. O hotel também tem um pequeno pátio externo muito agradável e lindo na parte de trás. Os quartos são amplos, com cama king e chuveiro gostoso. Um conselho para os quartos que ficam no térreo com janelas internas, em dias quentes poderiam ter um ventilador. Voltaria a me hospedar. A cidade também é um tesouro, as pessoas que fazem bate e volta, não sabem o que estão perdendo.

The rooms don't have good acoustics, meaning what guests do on the upper floors can be heard in the rooms below. The breakfast was well below the standard expected of a three-star hotel, and the service was very basic, even poor, as the reception staff couldn't communicate. What was even worse was that one day they reported the room as clean, but it was dirtier than when we left it. I don't know what they did, but one of the towels looked like it had been used and was dirty, even after they said they had cleaned the room.

I came at this hotel and there was no electricity. The image on Expedia of the hotel were misleading. It is a photoshop of the river at couple hundred meters with the restaurant in front of the hotel. The hotel itself is not nice at all. When I came, there was no electricity, they were running on the battery which later stop working. There is no desk in the room, even if they seem to clean, this is so old and ugly that the rooms seems dirty. Do not expect more than a cheap motel for the price of an hotel. The breakfast they gave us was pretty bad. Internet is super slow. Towels are very old. They should invest in this place. I do understand we are in Ollantaytambo, Peru, but still, when they charge almost the price of an hotel in US, you expect something much more.

Limpia, accesible, cerca de restaurantes , muy cerca de la zona arqueológica, de la estación del tren y de la plaza central. A un lado del Río. Esto es bonito pero se escucha el sonido en la noche, lo cual para algunos resulta tranquilizante y para otros no. El desayuno muy bien. Buen mantenimiento. Definitivamente sí volvería .

Got into hotel around 10pm. lobby was dark and empty until someone behind desk sleeping showed himself and turned on a light. Super creepy guy who did not speak a lick of English. Hotel was nothing like images on website. Balcony on website was not really a balcony . Sheets and pillow cases had perminent stains on them, Pillows were all different sizes. Door lock looked like a simple bathroom lock. This was not a 3 star hotel but more like a 1-2 star hotel. I am a former Starwood executive and I would never recommend this place to any of my friends. This was totally misrepresented with their website The room door was simply a bathroom door lock that did not feel safe. Breakfast buffett was disgusting, lacking variety and what you would normally offer in a buffet. Worst hotel i stayed at in Peru.

Location is a convenient 10-minute walk from the train station. The room has a good amount of space, and the balcony offers beautiful views. Breakfast was fine. We did encounter an issue with the cleanliness of the sheets, and a hotel in this price range should maintain higher standards in that area.

Great location and lovely public areas. Sadly the room had no real view and our bathroom wash basin leaked onto the bathroom floor. Service could have been a bit more friendly and proactive. It was difficult to get in and out of the hotel as the main door was often locked and nobody on reception.

Péssima. Nosso quarto inundou de água durante a madrugada molhando todas as coisas que estavam no chão e não haviam funcionários na recepção para nos auxiliar, ligamos várias vezes e fomos até a recepção e ninguém. À calefação não funcionava o que fez o quarto ficar um gelo e ainda o chuveiro não tinha água quente. Pela manhã não conseguiram resolver os problemas e tivemos que ir para o passeio sem tomar banho, pois não tinham outro quarto para nos oferecer.

Nosso quarto inundou de água durante a madrugada molhando todas as coisas que estavam no chão e não haviam funcionários na recepção para nos auxiliar, ligamos várias vezes e fomos até a recepção e ninguém. À calefação não funcionava o que fez o quarto ficar um gelo e ainda o chuveiro não tinha água quente. Pela manhã não conseguiram resolver os problemas e tivemos que ir para o passeio sem tomar banho, pois não tinham outro quarto para nos oferecer.

The breakfast they gave us was pretty bad. Internet is super slow. Towels are very old. They should invest in this place. I do understand we are in Ollantaytambo, Peru, but still, when they charge almost the price of an hotel in US, you expect something much more.

Great location for access to Inka ruins. Less noise because its off the square , but easy walking to all stores and restaurants. Facility is in good repair and has attractive public spaces and comfortable room. But the lack of reliable wifi and an uncaring, almost oblivious staff,makes it easy to not recommend.

Location is a convenient 10-minute walk from the train station. The room has a good amount of space, and the balcony offers beautiful views. Breakfast was fine. Worst stay of my trip to Peru. The hotel was undergoing maintenance, making an infernal noise during business hours and after hours as well. The rooms don't have good acoustics, meaning what guests do on the upper floors can be heard in the rooms below. The breakfast was well below the standard expected of a three-star hotel, and the service was very basic, even poor, as the reception staff couldn't communicate. What was even worse was that one day they reported the room as clean, but it was dirtier than when we left it. I don't know what they did, but one of the towels looked like it had been used and was dirty, even after they said they had cleaned the room.

Had an amazing stay at the Sol Ollantay. Beautiful large room overlooking the river, and Derek the manager was always helpful and friendly - from recommending local restaurants to arranging a car to drive us around, he was always around to take care of anything we needed. Can't recommend staying here highly enough.

Got into hotel around 10pm. lobby was dark and empty until someone behind desk sleeping showed himself and turned on a light. Super creepy guy who did not speak a lick of English. Hotel was nothing like images on website. Balcony on website was not really a balcony . Sheets and pillow cases had perminent stains on them, Pillows were all different sizes. Door lock looked like a simple bathroom lock. This was not a 3 star hotel but more like a 1-2 star hotel. I am a former Starwood executive and I would never recommend this place to any of my friends. This was totally misrepresented with their website The room door was simply a bathroom door lock that did not feel safe. Breakfast buffett was disgusting, lacking variety and what you would normally offer in a buffet. Worst hotel i stayed at in Peru.

Hotel said upon arrival that we didn’t have a reservation even though they confirmed that the room was paid for. They just wanted to refund us for the room that we booked a long time ago and be left without any accommodations in a tiny village. After a lot of back and forth they finally moved us to another one of their other properties. Why didn’t they offer this up front? Also, we booked and paid for a King bed and got a Queen at their other property. Additionally, when we went to take a shower the water was cold so we had to let them know and had to wait 20 minutes for the water to heat up enough to take a warm shower. Not a fun experience

Excellent property and staff. I had severe altitude sickness and the front desk staff found a nurse that gave me immediate help in that difficult situation. Lots of food and shops right here with beautiful riverside rooms.

Péssima. Nosso quarto inundou de água durante a madrugada molhando todas as coisas que estavam no chão e não haviam funcionários na recepção para nos auxiliar, ligamos várias vezes e fomos até a recepção e ninguém. À calefação não funcionava o que fez o quarto ficar um gelo e ainda o chuveiro não tinha água quente. Pela manhã não conseguiram resolver os problemas e tivemos que ir para o passeio sem tomar banho, pois não tinham outro quarto para nos oferecer.

The hotel is really nice, well located in the center of Ollantaytambo, and easy to walk to other places, including the train station. It was under renovations when we got there, so the restaurant wasn’t available, but they sent breakfast to our room, it was a little loud during the day. I would recommend it for your stay in the heart of the Sacred Valley, Ollantaytambo.

Just a nice, clean, very convenient property. Some rooms come with a balcony, some do not. The rooms were clean and comfortable albeit with a few ants in the bathroom. However, you're in a hotel in a village on the side of the mountains so a few ants shouldn't bother you. The breakfast (included) was tasty and fruits/veggies were fresh and tasty. Just a nice, clean, very convenient property. Some rooms come with a balcony, some do not. The rooms were clean and comfortable albeit with a few ants in the bathroom. However, you're in a hotel in a village on the side of the mountains so a few ants shouldn't bother you. The breakfast (included) was tasty and fruits/veggies were fresh and tasty. Got into hotel around 10pm. lobby was dark and empty until someone behind desk sleeping showed himself and turned on a light. Super creepy guy who did not speak a lick of English. Hotel was nothing like images on website. Balcony on website was not really a balcony . Sheets and pillow cases had perminent stains on them, Pillows were all different sizes. Door lock looked like a simple bathroom lock. This was not a 3 star hotel but more like a 1-2 star hotel. I am a former Starwood executive and I would never recommend this place to any of my friends. This was totally misrepresented with their website The room door was simply a bathroom door lock that did not feel safe. Breakfast buffett was disgusting, lacking variety and what you would normally offer in a buffet. Worst hotel i stayed at in Peru.

Location is a convenient 10-minute walk from the train station. The room has a good amount of space, and the balcony offers beautiful views. Breakfast was fine. We did encounter an issue with the cleanliness of the sheets, and a hotel in this price range should maintain higher standards in that area.

the only good point of this hotel was its location. the breakfast was nightmare. no bread, no milk, no egg, we asked a couple of times. at the end we went to a nearby Cafe. the first day we didn't have hot water. the second day we didn't have any toilet paper.

Hotel super bem localizado, do lado da praça principal e das ruínas, uma curta caminhada para pegar o trem para Machu Picchu. Café da manhã e atendimento muito bom. Aconselho a pegar um quarto no piso de cima, com sacada e vista para ruínas. Além de ter janela para a parte externa que fica mais fresco, você tem uma vista maravilhosa para as ruínas, de tirar o fôlego. O hotel também tem um pequeno pátio externo muito agradável e lindo na parte de trás. Os quartos são amplos, com cama king e chuveiro gostoso. Um conselho para os quartos que ficam no térreo com janelas internas, em dias quentes poderiam ter um ventilador. Voltaria a me hospedar. A cidade também é um tesouro, as pessoas que fazem bate e volta, não sabem o que estão perdendo.

Entretanto, a recepção do staff é cortês, mas não passa disso e não é uma estadia que possa ser usufruída por mais de uma noite. The location of this hotel is right in the center of town. Three minute walk to the ruins, five minute walk to the train station, and five minutes to anywhere else you would want to go. The hotel was clean and basic. Because it's in the middle of town there is a lot of noise. If you are a light sleeper I would recommend a room not with a view of the ruins. The windows and doors to the patio do not block much noise.

Lovely hotel. However, we did not get the rooms that we booked. We booked a Family room with a balcony and views, and a Superior Triple Room. When we arrived, there were apparently no more Family Rooms with balconies available, so our rooms were switched. Our kids in the Superior Triple Room got the balcony and views, while we did not. They need a better booking system.

We stayed there for one night and we're impressed by the professionalism of the staff. The staff was very accommodating about special request made to them. The hotel is located few steps from the main attractions in the city including train station.
