Great friendly staff, one of the best appointed gyms we have been in,,, been in lots, some hotels cheap out , this is great

Room was nice. One shower was hot and the other not. Hot tub wasn’t working great with very low pressure or wasn’t working at all with red light on for service but no one came

Great property at the bottom of the ski hill. Nice outdoor heated pool and hot tub.

We love coming to Lizard Creek Lodge. Rooms are clean, air conditioned and everything you need. The only thing we can say about this stay was the main pool was out of order due to maintenance the entire time and yes we will be back!

We didn’t get to try the hot tub (which was one of the things we were looking forward to) because it was at full capacity both times we tried. The pool was very nice but would have been much better being heated more. It was still too cold to stay very long. We were disappointed that the restaurant and ice bar were both closed. The unit was very nice and beds were comfortable. The staff were courteous and professional. We will definitely stay again. We’ve already made reservations for December but we’re hoping the restaurant and bar will be open by then and that the pool will be warm enough to enjoy this time.

Hot tub was closed for maintenance. Which was not communicated prior to check in or even at check in. Room was well put together but was not overly clean

Bathroom was dirty when I arrived…the room next door was a lock off and could hear the conversation the people were having next to me for hrs.

Beautiful room but we have several complaints. We weren’t told about the hidden resort fees of almost $30 until checkout. And this was after already paying the $20 resort fee when booking with Expedia. When I mentioned this to the employee helping me checkout she was a bit rude about it. I also mentioned to her that the bathroom could use attention in the room due to the dirty toilet bowl and the disgusting jets in the tub I was told that to do a deep clean they would have to shut the resort down, which doesn’t happen. There was also next to no water pressure in the shower. We also found the bed to be comfortable initially, but found it was noisy every time you rolled over. And then every time you got close to the edge it felt like there was no edge and you would almost fall off. We also found there to be a lot of road noise from passing traffic which started at about 5:30am. This meant we started our day at that time. Definitely no sleeping in here.

I really liked the location of this facility. It was an easy, short drive from town and was very quiet. There was a restaurant that wasn’t open until the day before we checked out, but we knew this when we booked. There was plenty of wildlife to be seen and many trails in the area to hike. Don’t forget bear spray! One of the first things we were told at check-in was the bear sightings. My biggest disappointment was the cleanliness of our suite. Specifically the bathroom. The toilet hadn’t been properly cleaned in quite some time. The black mold-like buildup was a clear sign of that. The bathtub and shower also needed a really good cleaning. I had to scrub the bathtub before using it. If I were to book again, I would definitely ask ahead of time if the unit was cleaned thoroughly.

Wonderful place to stay right in the mountains ready to ski/snowboard. Beautiful views, friendly staff, large rooms and comfortable beds. You get a full coffee pot so you can bring coffee grounds and a full kitchen setup - stove, fridge, dishwasher, etc. Very icy entrances that hadn’t been cleared resulting in many falls and the bathtub needed a good scrub which we didn’t appreciate having to do. However we would still highly recommend despite these two oversights.

We ventured to Lizard Creek with our daughter. Our main reason was to enjoy the outdoor heated pool and hottub. Unfortunately the hottub jets were not working at the hottub located at the pool. We found the heated pool to be quite cool and requested the temperature to be turned up. That didnt happen and we spoke to other guests who also found the pool too cold to enjoy. Our room fridge did not work, and thr coffee maker was broken as eell. The room was not very clean and requires a deep clean. The dishes were dirty and we had to wash them ourselves and wash the tub so our daughter could bathe in it. Our phone didnt work so we had to walk to the front desk or text the desk for any assistance. We were quite disappointed with our experience there but will say that the staff were very helpful and friendly

Room and beds were comfortable. Kitchen supplies were sufficient. We had issues with both toilets during our stay with the tank not filling and the other the chain broke. We fixed it ourselves. The main floor window leaked a lot after a rain storm. We put a measuring cup under the leak to capture the water. Otherwise great location for touring Fernie.

The rooms were lovely and bed, pillows, linens were amazing. Well stocked kitchen and spacious...wish we could stay longer.

Pretty decent hotel. Excellent location but a little bit outdated. The rooms were large and well equipped with a kitchen and everything you will need if you're traveling What I didn't like was the fact that none of the windows in our room had any type of security or protection there was no screens there were no child safety mechanisms in place on any of the windows which made it easy for the children to fall out if they got too close. However the resort is in the perfect location and it's perfect for groups traveling together who want quick and easy instant access to the slopes. But if you are traveling with children please be careful around the windows. Overall the place is a little bit outdated and it hasn't been renovated since it was opened over 24 years ago however it is in fairly decent condition overall.

Pros: Friendly staff Boat parking Spacious accommodations Fitness facility Cons: We were upgraded from our 1 bed / 1 loft unit to a 2 bed 2 bath, unit 2216. At first this seemed lovely until we discovered the ensuite only had a jacuzzi tub and no shower. This meant we had a half bathroom as no one was going to use the jacuzzi. The unit is quite dated and had very limited supplies for a full kitchen. Aside from cutlery, there were 2 very dull knives, one old pair of scissors that wouldn’t even cut open a salad bag. 1 bowl, 2 cheap/old pots etc. The coffee maker was barely functional, same for the stove. Basically, the unit has the very bare minimum of supplies and they were cheap and old. There was a BBQ but the owners don’t permit guests to use it but you don’t know that until you arrive. We stayed for 4 nights but upon arrival discovered the supplies were for 2 night. (Coffee, dishwasher pods etc). You can text front desk for additional supplies but it’s an unnecessary hassle. There was an old stacked washer / dryer. The dryer knob kept falling off so you had to reattach every time you used it. Wall paper is peeling in washrooms, toilet seats cracked / ill fitting. The televison remotes didn’t fully work (power, volume etc) The unit needs to be refreshed and in room amenities are significantly lacking. We’ve stayed at this resort multiple times before and had better experiences. Will think twice before booking again for the price.

Room was large and great for a family! Lots of space. Only downside was there was no shower in the main ensuite.

Extremely dated with zero charm or comfort. Fraying carpets, uncomfortable couch with no pillows, the place is rundown and in desperate need of renovation. Overall terrible value. Definitely won’t stay here again.

The accommodations were great. The room that was earmarked for us, was having some renovations completed, so the Lodge upgraded us to a two bedroom unit. Every interaction with the front desk was great. Would definitely recommend the Lizard Creek Lodge to anyone travelling to Fernie.

We love coming to Lizard Creek! The suites are spacious and a great base to be tucked away in the mountains and exploring Fernie. The outdoor hot tub attached to the condo building was a great plus, and very relaxing (especially during the quiet off season)! It was sometimes hard to reach the front desk staff, but interactions were always very friendly. The spacious underground parking is another plus. Highly recommend. We will be back!

The location IS key, ski in ski out. The property is good, has enough facilities for a good ski vacation, and the personal interactions I had with the staff were pleasant and friendly. Unfortunately for us we ran in to a few too many issues which weren\'t really handled well. On our first morning I was contacted by a "service agent" via text asking how our stay was. I listed a number of items; - fridge and freezer weren\'t cold - clearly used towel left behind from previous guest - main hot tub wasn\'t working (another guest mentioned this was the case the year before as well) - Trash in the hallway for 24hrs+, from other guests (inexplicably there was no cleaning staff for our entire stay) The only response I received to any of my comments was to confirm which hot tub I was referring to. Upon checkout an agent addressed my list with an apology, but still no offer of any sort of compensation or refund. By this point we had also discovered bathroom tissue with feces on it behind one of the toilets in our room. This was also met with an apology but not the level of response that I feel was merited with a guest finding feces. My final summary. The staff seems great. The property could be fantastic. The management seems to be responding with very "corporate placation" rather than having the ability to really address issues. We wanted to love it, but were underwhelmed in the end. At least the ski hill is amazing.

Absolutely lovely property, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional.

We were too early in the season for the restaurant/bar to be open but enjoyed the hot tub and walks around the property. The rooms were clean and comfortable, although a bit outdated. I didn\'t find the front desk staff very approachable and seemed a tad "stuffy". That being said, overall it was beautiful.

Great staff...friendly, attentive and responsive. Good place for familes!

We love staying at this property. The access to the ski hill is amazing. We love the views, the amenities and the comfort of the units.

The staff was extremely accommodating. Location is exceptional if hiking and biking. Unless eating on site, driving into fernie is the only other option. Overall I certainly would recommend this property.

There was no onsite facility for breakfast or no options for tea. Sounds minor but these are just for the small creature comforts.

Make sure you reserve at the restaurant brfore you come. We got there at 7 and they weee booked until 8 pm.

Very pretty surroundings, but unfortunate that there are no dining options except Wed-Fri meaning a drive back into town for dinner. The pool was unfortunately unheated. Checkout at 10 is not ideal and the request for 11am (which is more common?) was denied despite very few hotel occupants. While hiking from Elk chair is supposedly possible, the maps don’t give real distance to trail heads and staff were generally uninformed. Great room, though dated. We enjoyed our stay but for the money have stayed at nicer places and got more.

This is a gorgeous property. Our suite was well appointed with two bathrooms. We enjoyed the pool area. However the jets were not working in the hot tub. I was disappointed that the dining room and bar were not open due to off season. Had we known we would have picked up groceries. The staff at reception were very nice. Unfortunately we had a very noisy diesel powered lift machine outside our bedroom window which was turned on at 7:00 am. Since the resort was empty I feel we should have been given a different room.

The restaurant was excellent!

They’re very helpful and supportive when you have special requests. I love the restaurant, Cirque, too! They are very sensitive to allergies which I really appreciate.

Would have been nice if the restaurants were open.
