The b&b was beautiful inside. Very comfortable bed and accommodations (Prem King). The breakfast was delicious. The free bottled water and cc cookies was a pleasant surprise. We learned during the Haunted Walk that the B&B had a haunted history…which was cool. The only thing that was surprising was the condition of the yard and gardens. It needed some TLC. Overall a nice stay.

Le déjeuner fait maison est exquis. Établissement entretenu avec goût, une propreté exemplaire. Bravo pour le savoir faire de recevoir. Merci pour cet agréable moment. Juste petit petit bémol, les emplacements restreint pour se stationner.

Our experience at the Rosemount Inn was wonderful. The owners were incredibly thorough with their information and their on site staff - an inn keeper and chef - were thoughtful and accommodating. Upon arrival, we were greeted with warm chocolate chip cookies and detailed instructions for our room. The property was delicately designed and thoughtful. We loved the parlour that overlooked the yard. Our room was also beautiful with a fire place and subtle lighting and design. One of the best parts was the propane fire table on the patio where we could grab a blanket and cozy up even in mid November. Our group had dietary restrictions that were easily and accommodated and the chef offered them with consideration. She even offered to accommodate another guest who said they were trying to eat fewer carbs. We will stay here again - and will tell everyone coming to Kingston to do the same. Especially if they take the ghost tour of downtown!

This is a special place. You feel warmly welcomed with a sweet note, fresh baked cookies and chocolates and sparkling wine in the fridge in your room. The staff is kind and helpful. The decor is lovely and the rooms are clean and beautiful! They had a piano player in the living room with popcorn and macaroons. It was the perfect place in terms of location as well and we will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend!

I loved the Rosemount Inn! Very cozy, clean and modern amenities in a historic building! The personalized attention to detail was appreciated and we enjoyed the breakfast and cookies and water bottles. Everything you need is in the room! Quiet location walking distance to the waterfront and easy parking on weekends if no room in driveway. The staff was friendly and attentive to our needs. We will stay here again!

Great place with 2 exceptions. The shower floor is so slippery that it’s unsafe. Parking is a hassle when the small lot is full. Cars have to be moved at 8, 9 or 10 am depending on the street. The nearby public lot was closed except for permit holders due to construction. Enjoyed chatting with the breakfast chef.

Lovely old Victorian mansion in quiet residential neighbourhood, recently renovated and very comfortable. Efficiently air conditioned. Buffet breakfast and cookies available. Large yard surrounding the house with comfy spots to sit, relax and read. A short walk to downtown.

Right from my arrival I was greeted by Glen with a much needed calm and gentle voice of reason as I was feeling a bit overwhelmed dealing with some ongoing medical appointments and weary from travel. Glen immediately put me at ease as I was welcomed into the serene atmosphere of the Rosemount. Throughout my stay in this stately, sophisticated historic mansion Chris and Emma and the Rosemount team were attentive , professional and personable. I was grateful that Chris was so understanding and found solutions to accommodate my need to extend my stay to attend to medical appointments. A big thank you also goes out to the cleaning staff for preparing and keeping the rooms impeccable. I looked forward to breakfast each morning prepared by chef Kale with intention, creativity, and delicious handmade pastries and homemade jams. I’m going to miss Kale’s 4:00 cookies. The piano gathering room was a beautiful touch and richly added to my experience during this time of recuperation. I look forward to staying at the Rosemount again hopefully in the near future. I got into my room and it was freezing cold. The only things to heat the room was a stupid small floor heater and 2 baseboard like heaters. There was no clock, no extra rolls of toilet paper or even a pen to write something down! I dropped something behind the table that the coffeemaker sat on and it was filthy dirty behind it. I was offered a different room but declind because I figured it wouldn't be much better than the room I was given In a nutshell, I would take my 585.00 and go to another hotel that at least had a clock and a stupid pen on the room. I would never stay at this place again.

Love staying at The Rosemount Inn. My sisters and I stay every December. We love the regal feeling of this gorgeous historic inn and all its lovely appointed rooms. The rooms are always so nicely presented and clean as well as gorgeously styled.

My recent stay was outstanding. The staff's hospitality was fantastic, the hotel's cleanliness was impeccable, the property itself was in excellent condition, with modern facilities and a welcoming ambiance. I highly recommend Rosemount Inn for a fantastic stay.

J’ai adoré mon séjour au Rosemount. Belle déco. Belle chambre et super salle de bain. Très calme. Beaucoup commodité. Très propre. Personnel sympathique. Bon déjeuner. Ce qui m’empêche de donner la note parfaite, c’est que le contrôle de l’air climatisé est général . Nous nous aimons avoir les nuits vraiment plus fraîche, Pour cette raison, nous avons eu de la difficulté à dormir.

Beautiful old home! Very friendly staff! Food was wonderful! It was very clean! My only wish was a thermostat in our room. We were a bit hot. The fan in the room didn’t work. But I would stay here again! Charming place!

Perfect location near downtown but quiet, wonderful inn, comfy bed, impeccable room and service. My only complain is not having individual control for air conditioning in each room but this is a minor thing. Highly recommended!!!

Absolutely gorgeous in design and atmosphere, in the perfect location. Breakfast buffet is to die for and we loved sitting at the common table with other guests. The chocolate chip cookies upon arrival are delish and such a thoughtful touch. Staff so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back! Enjoyed the Classic King room--my only suggestion would be an additional luggage stand and a table in the bathroom for toiletry bags as there is very little counter space. The room should really be set up for the number of guests it accommodates. Guests should note that there is no TV (a nice break, we found!) and the "bar fridge" is really tiny...the size of a safe. I had brought snacks that needed to be refrigerated so I couldn't keep them in the room, but the chef put them in the kitchen fridge. An absolutely lovely aspect of this inn is the parlour, and on Saturdays during "happy hour" (5-7pm) they have a wonderful piano player who also sings. We thoroughly enjoyed listening and singing along with other guest. Would love to go back in the summer to enjoy the porches and gardens.

Beautiful little inn. I appreciate the little touches from freshly baked cookies, free water bottles and welcoming drink. Kale is amazing! She was super accommodating to my allergies for breakfast. Everything was homemade and delicious. Reminder this is an older home so if your room is on the main floor, you will hear the guests upstairs especially when the toilet flushes. Also note there's no television, so bring a book!

Warmly welcomed by Marcela, warm cookies and bottled water immediately available. Nice welcome gift waiting in our room for us, spotless bathroom and accommodations as well as the common areas. Breakfast was good and filling and the coffee was plentiful and tasty. Only issue I had was my bed loudly creaked when there was movement, any movement. But besides that, we liked it so much that we stayed an extra night. I’ll be in Kingston every year or two and I will always stay here, We reserved the queen suite which included a second level stair access reading room/art room and a separate outdoor balcony with table and chairs. I highly recommend.

Chris and Glenn were wonderful and welcoming on our arrival. They let us check in to our room about an hour early on a particularly hot 90° day and that was so appreciated. Our room was beautiful, quiet, comfortable and clean. My son is looking at college in the area and I would certainly return to stay here if this is where he chooses to go. Thank you for a wonderful time.

Great location to visit Queens campus, the waterfront and local shopping and restaurants. Beautiful old mansion. Room 9 is large but could do with a few drawers. Decor and furnishings lovely. Bed so comfy.

Right from my arrival I was greeted by Glen with a much needed calm and gentle voice of reason as I was feeling a bit overwhelmed dealing with some ongoing medical appointments and weary from travel. Glen immediately put me at ease as I was welcomed into the serene atmosphere of the Rosemount. Throughout my stay in this stately, sophisticated historic mansion Chris and Emma and the Rosemount team were attentive , professional and personable. I was grateful that Chris was so understanding and found solutions to accommodate my need to extend my stay to attend to medical appointments. A big thank you also goes out to the cleaning staff for preparing and keeping the rooms impeccable. I looked forward to breakfast each morning prepared by chef Kale with intention, creativity, and delicious handmade pastries and homemade jams. I’m going to miss Kale’s 4:00 cookies. The piano gathering room was a beautiful touch and richly added to my experience during this time of recuperation. I look forward to staying at the Rosemount again hopefully in the near future. Our experience at the Rosemount Inn was wonderful. The owners were incredibly thorough with their information and their on site staff - an inn keeper and chef - were thoughtful and accommodating. Upon arrival, we were greeted with warm chocolate chip cookies and detailed instructions for our room. The property was delicately designed and thoughtful. We loved the parlour that overlooked the yard. Our room was also beautiful with a fire place and subtle lighting and design. One of the best parts was the propane fire table on the patio where we could grab a blanket and cozy up even in mid November. Our group had dietary restrictions that were easily and accommodated and the chef offered them with consideration. She even offered to accommodate another guest who said they were trying to eat fewer carbs. We will stay here again - and will tell everyone coming to Kingston to do the same. Especially if they take the ghost tour of downtown!

The Rosemount Inn is a true gem. Beautiful property, stunning spacious rooms, easy check in/check out, super friendly staff and incredible service. It’s also impeccably clean! From my initial communications with their team about potential early check in through to the tasty breakfast and seamless check out, my experience truly couldn’t have been better. They surprised me with a complimentary room upgrade complete with some awesome treats and I was super grateful for the speedy and gracious text concierge service when I realized my takeout came without utensils. I can genuinely say that I wish there was a Rosemount Inn in every city. Can’t wait to stay here again! :D

Its virtues are also its issues. It is an older building, not accessible for those with mobility issues (my toilet has irregular steps, and I slipped in the dark) and its contactless concierge meant that I never saw a human person or greeted by a staff person. The door is left open, and were I a person feeling vulnerable, without screening - it is unsafe. Finally, it has limited parking and its overflow is a dark lot behind a public building two blocks away. I parked in dark, left in the dark. Again, were I a person who felt vulnerable, I might have felt both personally vulnerable and certainly uneasy about leaving my vehicle. It has a B and B feel, but without the support structure of owners or staff who can help. And the access issue is certainly something to consider if you have mobility issues. I do not, but having to use a bathroom in the night with odd steps in the dark (light switch in toilet), I stumbled. Had I issues, it would have been a nasty fall. And then I would have had to text for help. See the problem? And given that anyone can, presumably enter unchallenged, this is is a huge problem for those who might feel vulnerable or having valuables in their room. Be forewarned.

As always we feel right at home at The Rosemont. Welcoming staff, who are there to help but also value privacy. Love that when we arrive everything is waiting, so it feels like we have just come home; keys, cookies and a warm fire! We will be back -same time next year!

The Rosemount is a beautiful property. We had a very nice two-day stay. Breakfast was great, the house is fascinating, and it's very walkable to anywhere you need to go in Kingston.

A great, historic building that has doubled as a boutique hotel for years. A major renovation in and around 2018 really raised the bar for this facility. They offer a no fuss check-in, with a live-in Innkeeper. Also, the daily morning breakfast buffet is a no-fuss offering of homemade baked goodies, fresh fruit and oatmeal, which isn't fancy, but really hits the spot.

Breakfast was very good. The staff accommodated our gluten sensitivity with a delicious breakfast sandwich, fresh fruit and baked goods. We didn’t check closely at the amenities and were surprised that there was no TV in the room.

Beautiful little inn. I appreciate the little touches from freshly baked cookies, free water bottles and welcoming drink. Kale is amazing! She was super accommodating to my allergies for breakfast. Everything was homemade and delicious. Reminder this is an older home so if your room is on the main floor, you will hear the guests upstairs especially when the toilet flushes. Also note there's no television, so bring a book!

Close walk to downtown restaurants and waterfront. Quiet area. Beautiful B and B. The room was clean, well appointed and very comfortable. Quality sheets, pillows and bed for a restful sleep. Breakfast was lovely with fresh fruit, yogurt, baked goods and an egg, croissant sandwich which the chef prepared for me. Hosts were welcoming, responsive and even left a gift in the fridge! Thank you for a wonderful stay. I would choose to stay here over impersonal chain hotels with low quality breakfasts any day!

A lovely property in a quiet location but still level walk close to the town centre and lake. Wr arrived by train and caught the regular bus to the property( bus stop is 100 metres from the hotel). On arrival the greeting was efficient but after that we had no communication with any staff other than the very nice and helpful gentleman who served breakfast. Breakfast was ok ( a wider choice of cereal would have been appreciated)and eaten at the communal table. Our biggest gripes however were 1) the complete lack of storage in the room; other than a short hanging rail there simply wasnt any. The lack of any drawer space was particularly frustrating and 2) the air conditioning in the room which was on through the night, and over which we had no control whatsoever!
