The Inn On Sheridan

Would have been great if the restaurant and bar were still open but it’s been closed for 6 months.

I decided to splurge and get a hotel that had both a bar/lounge and a fitness center. Well, the fitness center was smaller than a gues room and most of the equipment was out of order. Then the lounge was only open 3 days a week, and about 3 hours on each of thos days, plus it didn't have 90% of the drinks or ingredients I would have wanted to order.

The only complaint I have is their parking. If you want to park close to the hotel get back from your day early! There are a very limited number of spots at the hotel. The rest of the spots are back behind the hotel and it’s a pretty good distance to get inside.

Whole place was beautiful. Super nice staff and helpful. Was misled about the pool since they post pics of a pool on their website and in the app and only jacuzzi suites no pool or hot tub. Willing to overlook false advertising pool and hot tub.

It would be nice if the bar was open daily, not just from Wednesday to Saturday. Great breakfast

Google did take me a weird way to the location. Looks like there is only street parking, but do go behind the building and there are 2 lots. I didn't see the one closest to the facility so I did Park in the overflow lot which had only stairs to get to the door which was a hassle with a roller bag. Other than that - the lobby was nice, the staff was adequate. The pillows were a little hard so not the nest sleep I had, but it sufficed. The Breakfast bar are was tight and limited. I opted to skip breakfast and had it on the road. Overall - I would stay here again.

Nice room and overall facility. Parking can be a challenge if there is an event taking place. We were originally given the wrong room as we booked the king/fireplace and were given a double queen. It was fixed just inconvenient moving our bags and returning key, etc. TV wasn’t working and there’s no number listed to call the front desk

Exceptionally friendly staff as always. Clean room with well thought out attention to both design detail and functionality. I don't use it, but worth noting they offer a great shuttle service. Pleasant outdoor spaces, a reading loft, and spacious lobby made for a very pleasant atmosphere. Breakfast is a highlight, great assortment of high quality options and top tier coffee. Overall, a clear step above hotels at comparable prices.

Need more parking only problem with hotel

Room was very clean and comfortable the staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very good.

I loved the room i stayed in and would love to stay again. The hot tub was amazing and i had such comfortable sleep. The bathroom was disgusting and there was soap dripped on the floor along with hair everywhere. I found so much hair it led me to believe the room wasn’t cleaned property and got grossed out. The toilet also had pee on the side. Lots of hair all over the bathroom floor. I had to check the bed before i slept

The room looked beautiful unfortunately, it went downhill from there. The rug in front of the jetted tub was not very secure because all the rubber backing was pretty much worn off from too many washings. Once we woke up. We noticed that the robes were both soiled. One had sexual fluids on it. I noticed my pillow had mascara stains and drool stains on it. The chair had stains on the seat and top of the chair. When I used the hand towel in the bathroom to dry my face, it smelled like mildew. We also noticed what appeared to be packing tape on the ceiling by the drapes? When we went down to breakfast at 6:30 there was q closed sign and there was a woman seated towards the back on the phone. She came over and apologized for not turning the sign around. She remained on the phone the entire time we ate. I went back for a 2nd cup of coffee and the carafe went empty afyer 2 pumps. She came over to take it in the back to refill it and let me know it was ready. When my husband went up to our room about 20 minutes later, she was upstairs talking to rhe housekeepers. The buffet is only open 3 hours so, I'm not sure if she really needed a break after spending 30 minutes on the phone? We took pictures of everything and let the day manager know on checking out. She said to send her rhe pictures and she would let the General Manager know. She offered us the honeymoon suite the next time we were in town since it was our honeymoon or a refund. We were disappointed about the whole experience

Front desk staff was amazing and very accommodating. Breakfast was really good. The hotel is overall quiet, peaceful, and well kept. Decor is nice and homey. Lots of positivity and motivational sayings on the walls. Love it! I did have 2 issues. 1.housekeeping could do a better job with cleaning. We transferred rooms because our first had dirty linens and stained seat covers on the sofa, and the second room had dust on the walls and on the top of the headboard and spiderwebs in the corner. We found two dirty socks in the closet, and the cooking utensils in the drawer was greasy and dirty. 2. No king sized bed as noted on our reservation. Found out most rooms DO NOT have king beds. However, in spite of these issues, our room was nice and it was soooooo quiet. We were transferred to the room with kitchen, fireplace, and daybed for a couch which was way better than the first room. Turned out to be just the staycation we needed. We chopped it up to we got almost close to perfect. We'd stay again. It was a good stay. I'd recommend.

Do not expect a nice and clean place like the pictures show. We booked the room with the jetted tub and couldnt stay in it for the first night because it needed fixing, which can be understandable, but the "better" room they put us in was a joke. It wasnt clean, there was grass in the closet, the toilet was disgusting wven though it had the "sanitized" paper thing around it, the counters and surfaces werent clean and it just was BS. Then we get the room we paid for, which looked nice, but #1 the tub didnt even have the jets shown in the pictures, #2 the toilet was gross, #3 the post on the beds canopy was half way unscrewed and was loose where you couldnt even touch it without it going sideways, and last there was no on site maintenance to fix it so it wasnt so paranoid that the bed would fall down. It was just a bad experience. The only saving grace was the two front desk girls that were so sweet and did everything they could to make sure we were ok and as comfortable as possible, even with everything going on, very professional and respectful. I wish i could post all the photos i have of both rooms for everyone to see here. Now theres no refunds for the room we booked, but we didnt even get to stay there the first night so im hoping that ill get a refund for the night we missed. Thats the least i could ask for right? I have yet to hear back from the main lady about this and to get my money back for the first, bad night. The whole situation wasnt worth any of the money.

nice hotel, but had bed bugs

This property was okay. We booked it because the property pictures show that it had a bar however upon arrival it did not. There was also ALOT of service black mold in the bathroom. I took a rag and was able to easily wipe it off so not sure how much they are cleaning the bathrooms.

I stayed on third floor with balcony facing Sheridan Road. The room had been partially renovated with flooring instead of carpet. Beware it is very noisy from cars going by so bring earplugs. I had to have maintenance bring batteries for tv remote since front desk didn’t have any. My main issue with the room was the beds. They are so high that couldn’t sit on edge of bed & had problems figuring out best way to get in bed. So I sat all the time in the desk chair. No maid service done. If you want more towels you can get at front desk or catch a maid in the hall. It’s a real trick getting balcony door to stay closed. They do now offer buffet breakfast which was ok. But when it ends at 9 weekdays & 10 weekends you have to leave fast . If you want to finish eating your food you have to go to lobby area where there are tables. They do sweep & mop the floors/stairs in lobby & by doors.

Everything with the room was wonderful except that Direct TV was down and all of the TVs were down for the weekend.

The room was fairly standard—nothing particularly special or memorable. Unfortunately, the beds were extremely firm and uncomfortable, feeling more like a wooden board with a thin layer of padding added as an afterthought. The blankets were also quite rough and not soft against the skin, which made it difficult to relax. I had booked a balcony room, but the balcony overlooked the street and was so small it couldn’t comfortably fit any chairs—none were provided, likely for that reason. It definitely didn’t feel worth the extra cost. While I could have overlooked these issues, the most frustrating part was having to pay for the room twice. My original reservation was for the 8th–10th, but due to a family emergency, I had to rebook for the 9th–11th. Expedia denied my refund request, and although the hotel initially seemed willing to help, they eventually stopped responding after a few back-and-forth messages. I was genuinely looking forward to this stay, but the combination of discomfort and poor customer service—especially after essentially paying double—left me very disappointed and underwhelmed.

Room was great, clean and comfortable. Bathroom was huge with walk-in shower. Staff was very nice and breakfast was very good. They had a variety of meats.

My room had a soaking tub in the bedroom and a fireplace with a big screen above it that you could watch from the tub! Room 241. Also had a walk in shower in the bathroom.

Definitely not the swanky cutesy hotel I thought I was booking, but it was quite okay. The lobby and halls are SO pretty and modernized, but can’t say the same for the room - it definitely didn’t match the rest of the vibes of the hotel. I had a room with a balcony facing the main street, so it got a tad loud due to rumbling cars with loud music passing by. Walls and ceiling are kinda thin so I heard my upstairs neighbors a bit, but nothing super annoying past 10pm-ish. Bed was decently comfy, but because of lack of overhead light (TONS of table lamps though), the room had slightly creepy vibes, but that’s just a preference! Front desk service was PHENOMENAL - so attentive, so kind, definitely the best service I’ve had at a hotel as of late, if not ever. Aside from the lack of light & slight noisiness, I’ll likely stay here again (maybe in a room that’s not facing the street)!

The property is clean and parking is easy. However, the balcony door luck didn’t work. Nor did the cable service. They did provide a discount due to the cable outage.

The hotel was beautiful, however , 2 plugs didn’t work in our room. Had basic cable with only a couple of Chanel’s and no movie options. Not a lot to do in this town and we wanted to relax. Really need smart TVs so that customers could log into their own accounts. Overall, we left a night early and chose a hotel further in to the city so that we could lay in bed and watch movies. Personal preferences yes, but we would have liked to stay. Price was right for what was offered.

We left out room for a quick walk and took nothing with us but one phone and a hotel key- we got back to the room and the inside metal latch was locked from the inside. I went to the desk for help and was greeted by the man working with absolutely no smile or personality and made me feel like a burden. He told me he had tools to help that didn’t work well so didn’t know how long it would take and we should have a seat in the Livy

I notice an additional charge from my bank account. I called the hotel thinking this is just a simple mistake, things happen nothing that a friendly call can't clear up. When I called the hotel I was transferred to the manager who advised me, "the person that cleans the room advised there was a smell of cigarette smoke in the room and there were ashes found on the balcony." She also informed me that there are pictures of such evidence and a written document presented by the housekeeper. Knowing that I do not smoke cigarettes and did not go on the balcony. I still was not upset but did request a copy of the images and the documentation. I was advised this information would be sent to me by the end of the business day on Monday 9/9. I did not receive the images in question nor a call back. On Tuesday morning 09/10 I spoke with the receptionist who informed me the manager was not in yet and her voicemail was full and I would not be able to leave a message. So I left a message with the receptionist providing my email address again. Just in case there was a mishap or misspelling. It is now 5 biz days later and I have not received a call back as requested. I have not received the images as stated by the manager. Oh, by the way, I did not even receive any documentation stating as to why I received an egregious charge. Nice hotel but nightmare experience

I stay in many hotels throughout the year. I always look for something that is not a chain hotel when I’m booking. So to say I’ve stayed in many, many wonderful hotels is an understatement. However, The Inn blew me away. The lobby is beautiful and feels like an upscale living room, featuring a cute little boutique and coffee counter. The beds! So incredibly comfortable! Really great pillows and the property is quiet, so I got the best sleep I’ve had in months! It was close to the Genesee Theater, which brought us to the area. Overall, this property blew me away in every way. But the BEST thing about the stay was the staff member, Jay. He was so kind, helpful, interested, and he truly made us feel welcome and important. As we came off the elevators this morning, he was there again with a big smile. He made us coffee, chatted, and wished us safe travels. Outstanding customer service from Jay. I’ll be looking for a reason to get back to The Inn soon! Very, very happy with my stay!

Friendly service went above expectations. It's obvious their goal is make your stay as nice as possible. If you treat the staff with kindness and respect, they'll do everything in their power to make it a great visit. Rooms are clean and functioned as expected. Cold a/c, comfortable beds, and solid breakfast with door county coffee. They have made a repeat visitor of me because of great value for a very pleasant experience. Even if you don't get a room with a balcony, there are several outdoor spaces to enjoy, and a room with books/games.

This was my first stay at ur hotel and I was very impressed. Becca and Jay went above and beyond to make my stay there wonderful. I am coming back in May and I will be staying there again. Thank you.

We were there 3 days attending our grandsons graduation from Navy boot camp. The first morning the coffee maker didn't work so we told them at the desk and they said they would have maintenance come and look at it and they would give us free coffee the next morning, coffee is free with the breakfast anyway! We left 2 days later and still no one came or addressed the issue. We hung the maid service sign on door knob on day 2, they did not come so we had to go get our own towels and wash clothes. Was not happy with the service at all. They

Jay at the front desk was friendly, efficient and gave us many options where to eat. He was the ultimate professional. Parking was easy and the room was impeccably clean along with the entire hotel. Breakfast was adequate. It would of been nice to have a restaurant and bar in the hotel. The hotel is in downtown Zion, but not a lot is going on in Zion. If you have a car, the location was good. Close to the beach, too!

They charged me a $20 extra without notifying me during booking. SMH.

I just wanna start out by saying this place was absolutely beautiful!!! All of the staff was amazing and so kind! But there is one that we really need to thank and his name is Jay!!! We was hands down the best! So kind and so sweet and very very accommodating to us and the whole family! We need more people like him in this world!!! He made the whole experience magical!! We will definitely be back!!! We came for my husbands Navy graduation and stayed almost a week!! Thank you so much Jay and of course everyone else!!!

Nice little spot for a quick weekend with the wife. Great spot if going to the Genesee Theater and you live in Wisconsin and dont want to drive back that night. Staff very friendly.

Had lovely time staying here. Breakfast was super good, loved the variety! Probably the best hotel pillows we've ever had as some are thin and others are thick, so you could choose what suits you best. Beds were also very comfy. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Loved the little cafe in the lobby, and just overall everything was great. Being right near the beach and plenty of places to eat was super convenient too!

Nice hotel but off of the beaten track in a run down "Christian" town.

The property is beautifully designed and the staff are very attentive and friendly! The breakfast every morning was great and my favorite part was the heated air in the bathroom when you turned on the fan , it made it nice and cozy after my shower . Highly recommend and it’s only about 20-30 minutes from the Naval base .

Traffic on main road was loud all night.

The lobby of the hotel is beautiful. Rooms need updated. Good price for what we got. The area seemed a little sketchy. Most morning's the same homeless man sat by the hotel. He asked us for money a few times. Breakfast was good, the lady in charge of it did a great job keeping everything stocked and clean. Would stay again if in the area.

We were very impressed with the hotel and staff. Beds were comfortable, rooms were clean and in good condition, and the room and hotel were nicely updated. Price was great. And it was an easy drive to base for my son’s graduation. There is a shuttle with a fee. Breakfast was decent with warm eggs and bacon/sausage as well as continental choices. I did not find the parking or noise to be a problem. The price was great especially for the level of quality and when we wanted to add a night they gave us a %20 military discount which was comparable to Hotel.com rate. My husband is disabled and we really appreciated the elevator. I would highly recommend this hotel

We've come back to the Inn on Sheridan three years in a row (since taking advantage of a Groupon in 2021). It is an easy drive to/from the Bristol Renaissance Festival and also a couple minutes from the Illinois Beach State Park. We've always lucked into a balcony room for fresh air (better if you face the parking lot instead of the main road). The facilities and staff are all very nice. There is an onsite restaurant, free breakfast, and a HealthyYums! (veg/vegan options!) restaurant across the street.

The rooms were very comfortable with many nice amenities. The breakfast buffet was delicious and varied. Very reasonably priced compared to other nearby hotels.

The rooms need some maintenance and updates. Their is nothing to eat at the hotel and the coffee shop is closed most of the time and has limited options when it is open.

There were times when no one was at desk so had to ring the bell. When I asked about the coffee bar I was told open 7-7. So I asked who I have make me a caramel macchiato. The person at desk said that’s me. When she went to make it she said she could not since it takes 1 1/2 hours to heat up & no one turned it on in the morning. Hard to get a coffee drink in Zion since across the street It’s All Good closes at 1 pm & not open on Sunday. She did offer their free coffee but told her I don’t drink coffee coffee. Supposed to have a Starbucks open in January west of town. Hotel needs to be able to sell products they sell instead of turning down business. I felt the room I was in needed a new mattress on bed. When laying on it I felt like I was sliding to edge (like worn out from too many people sleeping on that spot).

We stayed 3 nights and had a pleasant experience. Beds were comfortable, room was spacious, the breakfast options were outstanding. Hotel staff was constantly replenishing the breakfast and cleaning the breakfast set up. It was a beautiful hotel. We would stay there again and would recommend to everyone.
